Thanks a lot, SteamWitch, chalyss and Blankqueen! I think, Finn will find his new home quite entertaining. There's a sweet large eyed girl already waiting for him, they'll look so cute together. My sis is a great seamstress, he will probably become a very well-dressed gentleman soon …
Anubis won't be lonely though, I have a burnt sugar Wind head, a dark tan Yaya (?) head and a XM Doll Lemon head here as my project dolls. Wind is extremely cute, she does look a lot like Rain's little sister.

Blankqueen, wow those girls seem up to some winter adventure! Such lovely clothes and pretty natural faces. Your shot looks so optimistic and playful, even with the dark winter landscape.

 

Thankyou for the welcome, I will definitely post pics when she arrives. Mirodoll have told me she'll ship next week, so there's a small chance she might get home in time for Christmas. I've joined the Flickr group and can't wait to add pics of her.

I'm loving the photos of these gorgeous dolls, I also have a msd boy body with a withdoll Aiden head, but after looking at all of your stunning dolls, I'm sure I will be getting lots more mirodolls in the future

 

Oooh....65cm boy body. What do you think the chances are that Miro will sell just the legs (especially if I'm placing an order for three other bodies at the same time?) I'd love to upgrade an existing 60cm body to the 65....

I made a Star Trek TNG jumpsuit uniform for a 70cm doll, well I messed up and made it a bit too big so I thought I'd try it out on the 65 body I bought during the RDJ minimee purchase. It is huge on him, he can swim in that thing. He looks so buff though he's not huge. That is okay Kilian is my white angel water wizard, he doesn't need a ST-TNG uniform anyway.

Ok i really need the 65 cm body for my floating head, but what would be the clothingsize now that the legs are longer? I know that for the 60 cm body the top and bottomsize are different because the torso is musculair. Any help would be appreciated since im new to SDs

 

I have black Wind 60cm in my hands. I have lite tan 68cm Thunder, XM Venus in normal pink , 62cm lemon boy beauty white, 62cm Annie in white skin. All four being made now! I should get them beginning January! Ill post video of unboxing to show the many colors and sizes! I hope to own every color of Miro Dolls.

 

I finished up some important work and rewarded myself by finally getting a body for my floating DZ head! Anyone have an idea of the wait time? I couldn't find anything on their site or the Waiting Room (save the fact that they don't send a lot of shipping notifications? )

 

@kickingshoes it is somewhere around 4-6 weeks depending on holidays.

Thanks on my winter girls, Chalyss! I could not agree more with you about Winnie. She’s made of mischief, that one.Thanks Grouchy Gnome too! Yes, it was years ago that I crocheted their hat and scarf sets, but they’ve rarely ever gotten used. Now was finally an opportune moment to put them to use. And thanks Evie!! I really quite like the smiley faces of Annie and Winnie. Very few of my other BJDs look as good humoured as those two.

SteamWitch, you’re Killian looks too adorable in that jumpsuit and your Sherlock in the bedroom scene there is just soooo spot on!! Priceless!! I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Hmm...I'm also wondering if you were asking me or Evie about the redhead. The only redhead with the white eyes that I've posted lately on my Flickr is this one. Thanks all! Now that Sherlock has his proper wig I'm having fun dressing him up (or undressing ) as the case maybe. I need to make my set for indoor photos of the 221B room. I will be making my own version not co-oping screen shots.

Yes I will be doing the unboxing video For YouTube since these are my first Official direct from Mirodoll.com dolls. I plan to do before and after photos of everyone I hope when others see my faceups and body blushing on my dolls they will feel comfortable and confident to send me commissions!

Thanks on my Lightning, Katzen! I agree she's badass. Lightning is the female sculpt, but it's a strong one to be sure. Thunder is the male elf one, this one here in fact. I tried my Thunder on my Dollzone 70cm body and he had a little stroll with Annie in the Backdrop Park:

Are the wrist joints still that odd oval on the 65cm male body that they are on the 60cm body?

 

Your dolls are so good looking! I haven't seen many fully made-up Miro Dolls and when I do it makes me more anxious to receive them! I haven't any clothing yet I will have to do censored photos Im not sure if naked doll pics are allowed here? I'll put them on Deviant Art so be seen there too.
I ordered the girl in gray and boy in tan Thunder, Annie white, black Winnie head, Lemon Beauty White, xm Venus Normal Pink, white Winnie head. I have black resin Wind. I hope to get a Centaur some day too!

My girl arrived on Friday! Had a quick peek at her before she gets wrapped up to check she's ok. She's so big!! I love her already

I am really looking forward to getting my Miro doll Rain in next month I already have an SD size girl, and now she will have a boyfriend. He is such a great price-I couldnt say no.

 

Hooraaay! Annie just arrived today, as well as the bonus 1/4 head! I got Lili because I thought she was cute. (spoiler alert: she is.)

The funny thing is, if you remember, I was worried about where to order her to. I ordered her to my parents' house and the very day I got back, she came. Mere hours after I got home! It was so perfect.

She's wearing a wig that I also got today and still need to work on controlling, haha. She came with these yellow-green eyes, and I was going to give her blue eyes, but I actually think they really suit her.
(also excuse the eyelash mess. I wanted to shorten them but couldn't realllly get in there without hurting her nose or brow since my nail scissors just broke.)

I think I'm going to be more excited when the new outfit comes, but there you have it!

 

Congrats on your new girl, Kara.Boo! Lovely close-up of her and her face-up is nice as well. I agree, those green eyes look great. I hope you will share some more photos when her outfit comes.

Chalyss: Thunder's head worked surprisingly ok with this 70cm body. The proportions were not bad at all in general, but the neck on this DZ Raymond's body is just too thin and I felt the need to equip him with a scarf. DZ Raymond has a very small and thin head, which works great on it, but pretty much any other head I've tried on that body looks like a lollipop on top of it. Hehe!

I just ordered a couple of clothes from Astra's owner, PlumBlossomsCloset, for my Iris!! I can hardly wait to have some properly fitting clothes for her that have been custom made in her scale! I've been so lazy at sewing lately myself, but maybe I'll get around to doing something over the holidays...

Congrats on getting Rain, XDollyLovr! I hope you will like him as much I've liked mine.

PS: Has anybody tried to sand the boobs on the 60 cm girl body? I found I couldn't live with the big chest for my hybrid girl (ED Sian) and modded the body to be androgynous (not quite finished yet). I think the girl body minus boobs would make a great slim body for a smaller boy head …

 

@evie the kid Thank you i love her to bits! She's not a custom color. I ordered the regular dark chocolate color but from what I've been hearing it's often much darker than my Astra.

 

I just want to gush here really quick...

I've always loved dolls, and I've been in love with BJDs in general for like, five years now. And oh, I definitely know that this is an expensive hobby.

But... I had kind of fallen out of love with my other girl, and the inexpensiveness of Mirodoll let me get back into the hobby really easily. It wasn't exactly an impulse buy, because I sat on the decision for at least a week, but I'm glad I bought from them.

I also love everyone's dolls on here and how I can see all the different things people have done with the same sculpts!

So thanks to you guys here and thanks Mirodoll

 

Haha, chalyss, don't worry, Anubis is still his own beautiful self (the Force is strong in this head …) As for Iris: I have a notion that there is a universe full of unshelled doll characters always waiting to strike …

PS: chalyss, I forgot this: When I bought my girl body, Miro only offered the big chest body. I tried t live with it for over a year, but it just didn't suit my doll's character. The "small chest" is not really my idea of "small" …^^

 

I rather enjoy Mirodoll. I haven't bought any of their bodies/heads, but the Chocolate Thunder is slightly tempting. I like the fact that they make darker bodied dolls--and that they're poseable like more expensive bodies. The only trifle I have would be color-matching.

NekoMida, I like it that Miro makes many different resin tones too. I'd so like me a Miro either in that Evie's Anubis's tan or the burnt sugar... or both! LOL! I might have a dark chocolate Miro in my hands to explore tomorrow, provided that Postman Pat is not too much behind on his schedule.

 

Hello mirodoll owner. Has anyone a islanddoll and could do a comparision for me? The normal skin of mirodoll compared to islanddoll skin that matches well? They have a lot of resin colors

since i cant sleep in directly yesterday i googled more and found out that the island skin should br really nice match.

We will see if i find a feeple or an islanddoll head earlier..

 

Ah who cares about my post yesterday.. I completly changed my mind and ordered a mystic kid Alina in Pink skin. I hope it will mathc nice. we will see. I couldn't find comparison pics put i guess the head could be lighter then the ody which is easierto blush then a darker head

Oooh, your plans for Iris and Death/Lightning sound very exciting and wonderful, Chalyss! Your Lighting will be so unique! I can hardly wait to see them take form! Oooh, 10 years in the hobby, huh?! That makes you a real pro. This is my 7th year in the hobby. Yet I feel like I've only just scratched the surface of where it can take me. Not so much in quantities of dolls anymore, mind you, but rather qualities and learning new crafts and such. This is such a multi-dimensional hobby!

Glad you found some info then and an aternative doll choice for yourself, Steffi! I would not have been able to help either. I have no Island dolls, even if I've often eyed them too and had several on my wishlists over the years.

I just received a very exciting Mirodoll /XM doll parcel yesterday and I did a little box opening blog post. It's a bit of a review at the same time with some hybridizing experiments and comparisons thrown in. There's Hector, Apollo, Mika and XM William. In case someone's interested, it' HERE.

 

@evie the kid Yes, someone has sanded the chest off a Miro girl! I wanted a shorter slim boy body for my Little Rebel, Seven and I made it out of the Miro 62cm. It worked out rather well, I think.

 

Haha, @glyndon, I should have known! Love your work, I think the Miro girl body looks perfect as a slim boy. Seems a great match with the LR head, too!

@Blankqueen Oh, big box full of awesome dolls! Those big guys ARE big, quite impressive. The jointed toes of the XM boy remind me a lot of the Domuya bodies. They were great posers and really innovative for back then …

@chalyss Congratulations on your 10th year of BJD craziness! I remember your name from back then when I joined DoA (9 years ago) and it is great you're still around playing and experimenting.
