aeryn Thanks so much for the great tip regarding string size, i'm not a fan of 4mm strings but i will give it a try, s hooks aren't merely a problem i have some wandering around from other dolls

Jo i hate having knot into the head i cannot move as i want the head also it's an hassle to remove head for any reason!

 

I don't have a clue as far as for purchasing any S hooks $avage - I make my own!

You're welcome $abatha - remember to shorten the elastics, especially the arms, since their knot was originally pulled up into the head, making it too long if you just drop that knot down into the torso!

Molliebean ~ I thought your Zylla was so adorable I decided to get a Wind in burnt sugar too. I couldn't decide her age, so she is getting the big girl bust and the new smaller one. With the price points where they are...and volume buying getting free shipping...

Forcep clamps make restringing manageable -- [and being spoiled like I am! I have a very generous friend in our area who is an expert. We get together every month, and once in a while even more often.] So I got plenty of extra parts, high heel feet, hands to attempt my first mods, small busts. Woot!

I'm bringing on a new custom color, calling it mermaid blue -- how can you pass up making a resin you get to name! Haaa, it will be rich, but paler than the other customs they have made. Plus a little tint of green.

Thank you! I did try but it looked wrong so i tried a different way.

Mirodoll customer service is beyond!! I waited long, cause they wanted to include the extra pieces for my tan girl, but since that wasn't possible, they sent me a doll head instead, soooooo awesome!!!!!

thanks dear, so crazy and exciting, they are so beautiful. ALL over. I did think that the boy was actually 68cm
without the head, but he isn't.

 

UHM..no .. i think that Mirodoll put a note into the sale page where it claims the real height of the 68cm body, also mirodoll headsa are huge so their bodies are a tad shorter with different heads on it..

Does Mirodoll NS match Angelsdoll normal? The 60cm body would suits perfectly a character of mine and the head would be Angelsdoll Michael

 

$abbatha -- yes, my "mermaid-blue" resin color, special/SPECIAL request is hopefully in a aqua family shade, with a slight desaturation which would give it a bit of a gray tinge...I'm thinking. I've sent them some photographs of color, and of a mermaid to give them the spirit or feel of the color to help them when they mix it up.

evil-lin -- congrats! Is that the new tan, or dark chocolate? I'm trying to hurry through my on-line time today so I didn't search back through the thread. Looking forward to seeing your creations with them.

 

I could say that a match is possible, i've got recently an AngelsDoll head for my GO and their pink is quite peachy atm!

I'm an idiot. :P You know as many times as I've looked at the Mirodoll site I never realized that they had a 1/3 Magical Angel type boy. I saw the 1/4 one but never really looked close at William because I didn't like his sculpt. But William does, doesn't he? HELLO. There's my Kelly's proper body, no? He'd probably look better on that than on the regular SD body? It says creamy white. Am I right in thinking so?

 

So..Mirodoll sells also Magical Angel bodies? I'm a bit confised about this

 

Is anybody on DoA running a GO??? I searched around and cannot find one but sometimes I find DoA a bit confusing. Hoping to get a SD small bust before the sale ends on the 18th.

 

I need some help with the Miro website. I am about to order two bodies but I asked them to ship them unstrung, which would reduce the shipping cost by about $20 - but the website takes me directly to paypal and I can't change the amount to be sent ... ? I'd like to pay for only the bodies now and send them the shipping cost when they know the exact amount, or else pay what they estimated shipping to be, but I can't (the website won't let me confirm my order if I don't pay in full right away). What should I do? Is there a trick to it I haven't found yet?

The William, Rosa/Vivi, Robin/Kevin with the hinged feet are magical angel dolls, I'm assuming this was because they use to be involved with mirodoll when they were Lost Angel so mayhap those are the only ones they are allowed to sell, they have stated that they sell other company dolls that is why they only come in Normal or creamy white, they just never comfirmed it was magical angel but you can tell they are the exact same. You'd have to contact them about selling the bodies separately as I'm not certain they do that or not. I may order one of theirs eventually as I'm curious about the poseability range of motion.

Head is really yellow next to the body.

 

And here as a test gal I really don't mind her yellow head against
the whiter/pinker body. The horrible lighting doesn't help neither.
She's not banana yellow as in the pic.
I'm just so relieved to see her on a body after
so many years. Yayy. Everything borrowed.
Sorry fast photos from phone, came out very large, too.
And to think that she was for sale, up until Mirodoll rescued
her with the sale that they threw. I was able to finally afford
her a body so I decided to keep her, GO MIRODOLL!!!!!
Now I feel I love her already, eventhough I don't know who
she is yet. Also the third miro gal is not done, cause her
ear keeps on falling off, LOL
These bodies are amazing
The boy is waiting for Bernard from Dollshe, but somehow I
think putting that head on is going to be a huge challenge.
Suggestions are always welcomed on any of them.

Regarding Bernard: sincerely i've seen a Bernard head in real, the head is quite small, said so i think that the resin match could be an hard task, i would not worried about proportions cause bernard head is very small in real.

I ordered my bodies last night! Now I hope they send me the confirmation e-mail with the invoice soon. My little floating head is getting way impatient (On the other, my Bernard head isn't home yet and a floating head is less weird than a headless body ...)

congratulations on your order! I haven't had the floating head experience yet, but I bought my Mirodoll/Elfdoll hybrid body first instead of head first, and it was a little weird having a decapitated doll. The good part is that you can sew clothes to fit while you wait for the head, so by the time the head arrives the doll can be assembled and then dressed right away!

 

Haha yeah I'm looking forward on a guy to sew for, I've only got girls so far.

Hello again, everyone! Sorry I left the thread, I meant to come back but then it kept slipping my mind. First of all, thank you to everyone who answered in regards to adding s-hooks. In finding out that it was possible, I ordered s-hooks and new string from Cool Cat and I plan to completely restring him. I actually received my body out of nowhere last night! I was so surprised and so pleased with it, it actually fits my LR07 head PERFECTLY! I was worried about the neck width but it literally is the perfect fit. It moves wonderfully and the resin match is about 95%. I am super duper pleased.

Anyhoo, I was wondering about something, though. I decided since, I have to restring him anyway, to hotglue suede him if needed. But, honestly, I couldn't find anywhere I really could think of sueding. But I could've sworn someone mentioned doing so. So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to hotglue suede on the 60cm male body. I don't want to find out after restringing him that sueding him somewhere would've really helped.

You can hot glue suede him any time - it just involves dislocating the joint long enough to do the deed. I often let the weight of a big doll help with the separation.

Anyway, places that are good to suede: Inside of the shoulders, inside the hips, on the torso, ankles, wrists, head. Knees and elbows are tricky - you want to only put the hot glue where there is already a bit of friction, which is generally on each side of the ball rather than the ball itself.

 

Hello all! I'm sorry if it's already been asked, but will a ResinSoul 70cm head (Long, Feng, or Dong) fit on the 68cm Mirodoll body nicely? If anyone can take a pic of this combo for me, I'd really super appreciate it!!

 

Well this is the 68 and 60 bodies side by side. I unfortunetly don't have the 68cm to do a comparison with Feng head but I'll put it on the 60cm body I have, the chest measurement is the same they only extended the middle torso and neck a tiny smidge and the legs. Though now that I look at the site the chest says 28cm on the 68cm body and 30cm on the 60cm body. I believe thought that someone asked and I think you can switch the parts around?? Anybody correct me if I'm wrong? I really wish though that they would do a slightly taller girl so that I can get a new body for my Angelsdoll head so that she matches better with my 72 cm Angelsdoll boy.




Hope this helps..his feet and hands are huge, but his head fits nicely, I think with the slightly longer neck on the 68cm body it will look quite nice. I love if they'd do dj legs like the arms but they are still quite poseable.

Kitty i've asked about making a taller girl body to Mirodoll i guess was in April, and they told me straight off that was not possible..i agree that would be awesome to have a taller girl body too.

 

strange not sure why they would say its not possible, since they did it with the girl. Ah well maybe I will shrink my Angelsdoll boy onto the 60cm body then, still curious if that the burnt sugar color will match the Angelsdoll color?

*Raesha* your welcome...I was going to get the 68cm body for my Long head I had but ended up selling it. I had also contemplated shrinking my Chun and Feng to the mirodoll 60cm bodies, but haven't quite made that decision yet either. I'm a little indecisive about my doll plans lately. Mirodoll has such fabulous colors that I'd love to get a few of them but still waiting for the possibility that they will come out with some new head sculpts. So what head did you use for the msd mirodoll I'm curious?

 

MiroDoll drop me a note and they think to be ready for shp out my order by next week, superhappy!!!

 

Kitty regarding the match i do not have sadly an angelsdoll tan body nor a sample of burnt sugar resin from Mirodoll, and regarding the girl body they said that is impossible to alter the porportion, or body would look with bad proportion

 

Finally my order is paid in full now let's see how much it will take to casting

 

...Seriously contemplating the 68cm body to make my own version of The Crow (not based on any of the various film actors though) hmm. What is the body like for holding poses?
