My Cho and V.Ryu heads finally arrived today

 

@Jendaw - Oh how pretty they are!! I love the vampire ears, they're so cute. ;u;

@Quetz - Thanks, the vampire ears are really cute I agree, and his little fangs too . I need to geth them both bodies now and figure out face ups, I got a free wig too but it's not right for any of my boys so I might see how it works on one of my girls instead.

Sicktress - thank you so much! I wanted to get him "hyacinth" from Safrindoll but then I looked at Makoeyes and now I'm so confused... so many lovely eyes! What to do?


Plague - I also really want a Miho. He was the first BJD I really took notice of and then I got into the hobby because of him, so he'd be really special to own!


Kiradyn_rhiode - Your Yujin is so handsome, I really love his cheekbones. What a pity they discontinued him! Maybe they will bring him back one day.


Mysanityisresting - Your Jina is so beautiful and delicate! Love his faceup, his colour scheme is lovely with his hair and eyes And Ruanes outfit is so cool, very elfy! The headband is a nice touch!

Here is some West spam. Its very cold here in South Africa so he's covered in a scarves and hats. I ordered some Alpaca hair and I'm going to try to make him a new wig when it comes. Please tell me what eyes to get him, I can't decide! Safrindoll Hyacinth or something from Makoeyes? (Makoeyes really has too many options). Or should I get him glass eyes?

Thanks Saskha! Maybe a pair of Makoeyes in a similar colour. I really like the brightness and depth of Makoeyes!

 

Sorry to butt into the thread >< but I was wondering if Migidoll heads would fit with a Luts Delf body? I've seen a sculpt with a senior delf body but I'm not too sure about the Delf body. I'm mainly more concern about the proportion fit so that the body won't be too big or too small for the head making it look bobble head. Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

Calio4 - thanks!! The eyes are actually some 16mm glass eyes that my Fairyland Karsh came with from the company. I kept them because they are so lovely. Your West is beautiful; those lips are so dreamy!

 

I don't have a male comparison, but someone has asked me about a Migi head on a Delf girl body, and I do have that pic, if you want it. ^^;; Mine is a CP Delf body, so the colour is off, but the current Luts Delf bodies are similar in size and shape to the CP body anyway.

Well, I have another small question today- anyone knows who's making Migi makeups?

 

Your best bet would be to ask in the Migidoll website's Q&A as the artist(s) was never mentioned anywhere. Although the faceups from a year ago was made by someone called ANZ. The newer faceups have a very different style so it's likely a new artist is doing them.

My girl body is sitting on a DollClans headbox (because I hadn't restrung the body, and she was floppy as can be :P), in case you're wondering why the body might look a little strange.

 

NS type A is perfect for the ns (or RS like luts said) sdf and ssdf body...
A friend of mine recently had bought a ryu ns type A and put it in ssdf body and He's perfect *W*
I discovered that also the ns to April story is a good mach for luts sdf and ssdf and also NS type A and the proportion are good.
here my three migi:
Ichi is a migidoll cho ws with migi body, Shin is a migidoll Jina ns type B (I've bought the wrong type<.<) with April body and Kyou is a migidoll Owen ns type B with a popodoll 68 body

 

kiradyn_rhiode, thank you so much for the photo! I think the delf girl body is a little smaller (or shorter LOL) than the boy's so hopefully my boy's head won't be too big for it!

saskha, your boys are gorgeous! I was initially wondering if I should go ahead with the Migidoll body but I was not too sure about their poseability. Ichi looks good in it though!

I'm now considering getting either the delf body, LM body or the Migidoll body, hopefully my Cho will be completed soon!

 

if you buy a new body isn't a problem, but if you want to buy an used one, old delf body from luts have a different ns! my luts Nanuri 07 is different to the rs of my luts kid delf hodoo 2010, you must pay attention at the cast date :3

 

Does anyone have any thoughts on how good the new Migidoll bodies are? I have a Cho head from 2010 and I really want him to have a body but it seems finding a resin match is almost impossible. Do you think a new Migidoll body would match with a 2010 head? I wanted to go for either Little Monica or Luts instead but beggars can't be choosers.

 

ns or ws? my cho ws is the same than my new miho V ws type B

 

I want to buy jointed hands but I can't figure out the whole resin matching part. My boy is NS A type from '12 ~ Anyone have any suggestions?

 

My Cho from 2010 matches perfectly with Popodoll NS. uvu Cho's also NS.

 

I prefer the Senior Delf bodies. I don't know... there's something about Volks bodies that just does not sit well with me. I've seen Migi boys on Souldoll bodies and I really (REALLY) love Souldoll sculpting.

Sharing a random photo of my boy. Niko likes to sit on my desk and glare as I work. My room has pink curtains which bathe the entire place in this pinkish hue... XD



As for me, I'm pretty happy with the Migi body. It totally looks way better in person than in their web photos. It was a pleasant surprise.

Does anyone have a comparison picture between White Skin A and B?
I kept searching for hours, but I can't seem to find one.

 

Which size are you looking for? For 60cm I think Mirodoll's male body is probably the buffiest I've seen. ^^

 

I'm not sure which type it was but the two boys I've seen on Souldoll (not sure their years either) were Normal Skin. These were at a doll meet.

Ah thank you! Acquiring my boy has been challenging as his character's style is so specific that it's forced me to learn sewing and crafting. XD It's a good thing though, I'm definitely having lots of fun.

 

Souldoll is very very pink, if you're talking NS, I'd go with A. B is closer to Volks resin....the Miho I have was (until last night) on a souldoll body...the proportion and fit was great, but he did not match at all. I blushed him and the body to get a decent match. I got him second hand, so I don't know for sure he's B...but he's not got a bit of pink in him and looks about the same as my V Heath head (which got his souldoll body...another "great" match :\ ).
For WS, I haven't seen A in a while, but it's got to be whiter than B, which I just got new...so I'd go with A there too. Souldoll is pretty much paper white, Migi B is creamy yellow.

At least I'm hoping A is closer...I ordered a Migi head in A thinking I may have to go with Souldoll XDD *crosses fingers*

 

What about Luts Senior Delf 2013 bodies? Do they seem to be a match with Migi still?

 

I just got my AprilStory senior body in and put my NS-B Owen head on it.

 

Koma, the body proportion seems good from the photo (and their sculpting seem quite good too!)! Though I think the resin color difference can be easily covered up with outfit. Now I need to check out their body LOL!

The body looks wonderful! I definitely want one even more!

I was wondering if anyone had some Soom / Migidoll resin comparisons -- any skin tone.

 

Here's a photo I took a while ago, my Migi boy is the old normal skin (before they had different types). The Soom normal skin is quite a bit pinker.



PS. His body is the normal yellow Fdoll body.

 

Soom normal is pinker than Migidoll normal-A.

 

Did you guys see the notice that migidoll's prices are going up?

I'm just thankful it's not a terrible difference.

 

I got my Shion head at the end of 2012 and my SSDF body early 2013. I didn't get to compare the resin before his face-up because the body came while it was getting done but this is how it looks now.

 

Just in case anyone was wondering, the 2011 resin from Migidoll (don't know if it's A or B though) matches almost perfectly to the Fairyland F60 2012 batch.

 

Oooh! Yes, I can see it's more pink. Bummer!

Hi people. I've never ordered from Migidoll before but Yuri is on my wishlist so I just went to their site to gawk over him and ALL the dolls are SOLD OUT. That definitely wasn't like that yesterday (yes, I go and drool over him every now and then). Do they periodically do this to catch up with orders or are they revamping? I've checked their notice board and they didn't say anything about this.

Gosh I hope this is temporary or else I'm going to crawl into a corner and bang my head against a wall... I haven't found any other sculpt that's as perfect as Yuri for my character.

 

I'm pretty sure it's temporary while they're getting the price change for the M-Styles sorted out. My speculation is the company is waiting until all the May/June orders have been shipped out before opening the ordering at the site again just so there won't be any confusion about which dolls were ordered at the old price and which ones were ordered at the new price. But like I said, this is speculation only.

Hang in there, probably in a week or two, the site will be back in business.

 

Hey I thought I'd post here for some help. I want to upgrade my Miho boy to a 65cm body and I'm mostly interested in Switch (and Volks but the sd17 body is so much more expensive...). Does anyone know if it's a good resin match for a head that's close to volks pureskin?

It's pretty depressing to read that Noel is next in line for discontinuation. He is the first foray/experiment (I guess) in the faceplate system (with Shion as the second and the last). So that makes 4 heads discontinued this year.

My Ryo head arrived, and it's pretty neat to see the new headcap marking that they're starting to implement. Now I'm off to find a faceup artist ^^

 

Hi ~ I just thought I could add to this thread to help with anyone looking for a good match for the Ws Migidoll. I have a Migidoll Miho head Ws that I think may have yellowed a tiny bit. I put him on my Ariadoll 14yr Elegance boy body that I have always had in a box and do not see any yellowing to it. I think they are a really close match and look really nice together Hope this helps someone. Thank you.

 

umg the new suntan....luckily the sculpts aren't any I want, but I kind of wish I did...
