Here is the promised resin match picture for my new B&G Type 3 body and my Migidoll Miho. I have to look for the years on them, but the match is quite good (not perfect by any means), but I would say 80% good.

 

Your Miho looks really good. It's always been one of my favorite sculpts from that site. Where is that wig from and who did your faceup?

 

Thank you Reise! His wig is from Crobi and I traded him with the faceup already and the person didn't say who the artist was. It is very lovely though!

I have searched around for a long time and i haven't found alot of answers. im sorry in advance if this has already been asked but i couldnt find it. i was wondering if someone could give me a list for which female doll bodies will match a migidoll jina head (resin colors listed for each). in looking i have found a couple but few say what color resin was for the head and the body. i have never made a hybrid before so im having a hard time figuring out matching colors. i was also trying to find a good posing body but not spend a fortune on it as im trying to keep the cost down on this doll. thanks in advance!!

 

I got my heads in! Cole (Cho) and Logan (Ryu) are finally home. They're on Mirodoll boy bodies.

ShadowedForce: Oh yay, there they are...! Looking good. Looks like a pretty good resin match from here, too... nice!

 

Sour patch addict, this isn't a Jina and I'm not sure how different Migi's resins change from batch to batch, but ShadowedForce's boys show that Miro Doll has a very good match to Normal Skin. Here's my Cho head on a female Miro body. The proportions are great and there isn't much of a bag between the head and the body:



Miro Doll's bodies are great because they're sooo cheap (less than $100!) and they do resin matching if you have any head. I think you have to send them resin shavings or a chipped part or something, but the match is very good in person, Normal Skin to Normal Skin.

Yeah, the resin match between NS-A and Miro's Normal is extremely close. The head's just a smidgen more yellow but it's nowhere near noticeable. (And after I gave them their face ups it's perfect!)

 

Sicktress Your hibrid is amazing! How long did You wait for a body ?

 

Only about 2 weeks to a month! I've ordered twice from them.

Question for you Migidoll experts, is there a hue difference between the A and the B skintones? I can't tell on my monitor, is A more yellow and B more pink?

 

Ashley Shell, the resin is a bit porous and marks up easily but I sealed mine with MSC and it's great. It's not flawless, there are no seamlines but some tiny nicks. It's heavy resin, as well. Here's another pic of my boy and his body:

EDIT: yay my heads are on shipping only 4 days after finishing my layaway, I thought I would be waiting about a month before they were sent out so it was a nice surprise to find a shipping notice in my email inbox this morning

I felt like spamming West today. I want to get him some new eyes and a new wig. With this wig, you have to wear a hat. That's because I made it myself and then cut the bangs too short, oops!

New boy! I think I'm just a sucker for the cute types but Mir is quite the cutie! I have to resist buying him! >.<

 

I guess I'm not getting the difference between style type and cute type...the price difference is significant, yet looking at the scale and everything...it is all identical...which makes me think something isn't listed right? Mir is adorable, I really like him, but I'm curious to see if he isn't really 1/4 size maybe? He reminds me of School C a lot, and Ryo, well he is really handsome too! Maybe my Miho needs a companion?

 

I think what happened is that the page for Mir isn't quite done being updated, the information is for the Guy body, and if you notice, the wrong head sculpt name is listed as well. Pretty positive this boy is on an MSD sized body.

 

I would think MIR is MSD. afterall, his head size is 6.5" (?).
Sucks that he isn't an SD. I'd love him!

 

Wow at long last Migi's finally reviving her MSD line with Mir (but sadly we can't talk about him in the Larger Dolls subforum). He's like a mini-Ryu/Ryeong.

And Ryo's really cute. There's a bit of Jina, Noel, Cho, and Owen in him. He's definitely going in the shopping cart

 

I'm so in love with Ryo! I'm already considering him for a character of mine.

 

I'm falling hopelessly in love with Miho..The company pics are lovely but does anyone have pictures of his default face-up?

 

Is there a discussion thread for Mir? I'm dying. I just bought a doll to be the mini-version of my Ryu and now here is a mini version of my Ryu D:

 

I was just browsing on the Migidoll website (we all do it!) and I realized: there's a cynical Yujin, but no regular Yujin? :O Did Yujin ever exist, but as a limited or something? Or is Cynical Yujin the only Yujin sculpt out there?

 

I've got a version 1 Yujin. They revised his sculpt after that to tone down the nose. I guess he wasn't very popular, because he was subsequently discontinued. I think mine was one of the last few version 1 Yujins, because I recall getting him just a bit before or after Migi announced that they would be resculpting them or something.

That's really a shame, kiradyn_rhiode, I think your boy is lovely! I love his nose, why would they even want to rework him (or stop his production )>> It's a bit weird that they kept the cynical version but discontinued the normal version, too. Thanks for resolving my little mystery haha xD

 

Haha, thanks! I think they found it a little too broad (or maybe they figured many customers thought so), and re-worked it a little. The 2nd version, if I recall, wasn't too different. This shot doesn't really show the full breadth of his nose, actually. XD It's a bit more than that, but it's why I liked him. He seemed so different and masculine from the slender-nosed dolls that were everywhere during that time, and Iplehouse hadn't had such a broad range of masculine guys in the size range that I buy.

It took me awhile to get him a faceup, though, and I commissioned it based of the promo pics of Granado's Boyd sculpt, because not only did that sculpt have a similar look, it had the exact faceup I imagined for Ben. >u<

I do love the Cynical version (although I don't own one), and I think the whole sloe-eyed look gives it a bit more of that sly look that a good number of BJD owners like. Maybe that's why the C. version is still up. ^^;;; At least it's moddable to look like an OE version 2 Yujin? ;D

 

The reason why Yujin was discontinued was because his mould was damaged and Migi couldn't fix it. It didn't help that he wasn't a very popular sculpt especially in comparison to Ryu and Miho. He still lives on in Cynical Yujin though ^^ Once I get my Yujin back from his faceup artist I'll post a picture of him and Cynical Yujin together.

The new Ryo sculpt is almost a dead ringer for my Jina's boyfriend~ That makes me so happy, I've been looking for a sculpt for him for ages.

Also, to add to the already massive collection of Jinas, Makoto is back from his face-up. He'll be waiting a few months for his own body. He's kicked Ruru off his atm. He doesn't seem to care that it's white skin. Silly boy.

I have a question about Migidoll's point system. On my page, it says "You are Gold Member! Total : 105 Points". But then on my points page I just have 6,75 points in total when I add the joining points to the point from my purchases. And then there's the following beneath all that:

* Holding points 3.00

* Points to be deducted by a purchase 0.00

* Points available 3.00



... I don't get it. xD Does anyone know how it works? Thanks in advance!

For the ordering period of Ryo and Mir, do you think it would be actually on June 10th in America, or should an American try ordering on June 9th?

I'm pretty sure it's 10am on 10th by Korean time, not American, so you better try earlier

 

I believe it's a 13hour difference between us (east coast US) and them. So, trying on the 9th would probably be a good idea.

Hello! Now that my migidoll is finally complete (just got his body), I thought I'd come and introduce us here. :'D



This is Sevaal, my Vampire Miho! I got a spiritdoll elegance body for him since I'm not super fond of migidoll bodies. I really couldn't be happier with how he's shaping up !

Now I just gotta get him face upped.

 

He's looking very handsome Quetz. I have a soft spot for V. Miho's as that's the sculpt my best friend chose to be twin of my Jina.

What type of face up will you be going for?

He's going to have a sort of sly/haughty look in his face up, and he's got a rather large scar on his face, that I hope my favorite face up artist will be able to do for me. If she can't, I'll have to shop around, and I hate shopping around. XD
