[Adopted] LatiDoll's Blue Line (part 1)

I didn't really find it all that hard to order from Lati, personally. The wait is what killed me and, really, it was about standard.

 

Kendrah - That is exactly what I mean. Of course, not the ordering. It is the fact that the waiting is too long.

 

So, I've completely settled of getting a Rei (A smiley man that's a tower? Finally found my Raven!), but I won't be able to this pre-order.

Since Lati basics go in and out of order, it'll be a while (unless I get lucky and nab one second-hand!), but I hope you all don't mind me lurking for a while.

Lol, Same here. I paid a bit more than I would have with Lati, but it was totally worth it. I would LOVE to get another Lati blue boy, but I think I might just get one off the MP.

I'm planning to get a blue Rucas and I was wondering if anyone had an idea when the basic dolls went back on sale.
Is finding clothes difficult? I know their arms and legs are a bit longer than most msd dolls

I wish I could say I knew, but I haven't been keeping much track. Hopefully I'll have some picspam to post up here soon. XD I don't know why this thread has been so quiet, but the Red thread is absolutely dead, so maybe it's just that Lati owners are quieter? ;-; We should change that!

As for finding clothes, it really depends on what you want to do with the doll. A lot of pants will fit them, and just be highwater, but if you want him to wear huge knee high boots, then it isn't noticable anyway. Likewise, shortsleeves show no difference whatsoever. I generally make my clothes, so I really can't say how easy or hard it is to find longsleeved shirts or longer pants, sadly.

 

Hey Queedie2! I haven't had that many difficulties as long as I look for things that are a bit longer (such as the currently popular style of long t-shirts that go past the hip and have sleeves that end around the fingers), and a little stretch helps. Feet are normal. I commissioned jeans because it's harder to find pants that fit perfectly. It's true that shortsleeve shows almost no difference.

I generally make my own clothes, but I like them to have one or two purchased outfits so they don't look so scrubby all the time 8DD haha. (My sewing skills leave so much to be desired ; A ; )
I'm looking to get him around August or so Hopefully they'll have the Basic sets back in stock by then, but I noticed I can still get him in the Parts section for just a little bit more. ^^ Either way, he'll get ordered lol

It's a Sunny wig in the black short fur. : ) Am very pleased with it! And yeah, he's a Rucas. Lati used to do the occasional event, but now all their focus is on their super adorable tinies.

I'm glad you guys like him, too! He's yellowed quite a bit over the years, but still around.

On another note, has anyone tried to put a Jpopdolls 5/6 wig on a lati blue girl? More specifically this one because they don't have this cut in 6/7 size. Thanks!

Big congratulations, websteph! She is so pretty! I dunno about the wig, but there is some stretch in jpops... what is the actual size of her head (in inches)? If it's only a little over 6", it might work, but don't quote me ;P

Well, I do owe Hans, my Rucas, a real photoshoot. Never gave him one, not with his proper clothes on, so I'll try to do that tomorrow or something But I have to use my son's cheap camera as I lost mine....

Oh they didn't! The camera does ok, if you take a photo at least 5 to 8 feet away, but not closer! Very fuzzy I need my camera! I just don't know where it went. The last pictures I took were around Halloween last year. I think... Yah, I think that was it, LOL. I know it's in the house...somewhere, LOL.

Oh, I've thought of putting a LB head on a JID body! I have one each too, I should try it out, LOL. I'd love to see more pictures of him! He looks good! I think my Lati is much lighter than my IH, but that probably could be compensated for with blushing on the head?!

He's got 10mm cheap glass. There's a lot of gapping, but I prefer the look. He feels more... focused? I'm glad you guys still like him after all these years too. He's gotten quite yellow!

She was River, Plums guardian. Now I need to sew some good guardian clothes!

I've been wanting to order a Lati Blue boy .. but I am not sure about his face up
Ofcourse I am looking for either Rei or Rucas but their face up seems very light natural ? or it is not in real? I find him look so boyish to me =(

Dev-Nyo : I thought your photos were helpful about Rei .. I found them on flickr the other day when I was doing my research .. Does his head look small compared to AE girl ?

I am thinking of having him + AE Lemon together but I wouldn't want her head to be bigger than his ! x3

Sadly : Lati is not planning to have any Sp. Edition Blue Line for this year. I've contacted them regarding that and they are busy to release the new dollies line :'( .. I find all the tan 3 dolls Rei, Rucas and Lea very beautiful .. I wished I knew about bjds much earlier when I saw them.
