I think I mentioned it, but my boy's clothes and wig did arrive and he looks a lot better now. He works really well as a blond! I owe pictures really badly...sorry!!

 

Here is a quick picture of my Rucas. His name is Hans and he sorta likes Trixie (thought my daughter wants him to like Sabrina, my MNF Rheia ) Trixie is a MiniFee Marcia. Anyway, here he has his new wig and clothes and is much happier. I may have to re-think him as he seems so mild mannered. Or else he may end up with a split personality, LOL

Gosh I need a better backdrop! I have to actually put some effort into some kind of "light box" for photographing! I'm limited in my backyard and that gives a certain feel, that I may not want. So...yah, and Hans deserves a real photoshoot now that he's almost finished! The eyes I ordered for him weren't right, so they're re-making them. But that probably means another month or so of waiting. I think he needs a photoshoot sooner than that

 

YAY!!! my lati rei came in the mail today!!! i was so lucky to i opened the door to go to work just as the postage lady was walking to my door with something to sign!

my first impression was, wow! his head looks tiny! lol! but as soon as i put a wig on him i fell in love!!

Yah, bulletsBANQ, I got him because I love tall boys! LOL. All the boys on both sides of my family are well over 6' tall, so I think I have a soft spot for that (disclaimer: Ok, I have over 20 cousins and two of the boys are under 6' tall...still...LOL) I know what you mean about not taking enough pictures though! I still owe Hans his own photoshoot! Gabriel is looking hunky there!

i just got my boy the Guess doll outfit called Casual Affair. it is so super cute on him! the only thing is it is a tiny bit baggy around his thighs when it seems the pants were supposed to be tight. thats nothing a little bit of sewing wont fix tho! i need to stop being lazy and take some pics of him!

i made this dress this week, so cute! and the boots are Ugg key rings, got it on ebay.

I recieved my ipleshouse today and i must say i liked the latl blue body more. the legs are slimer and cuter

I bought, some years ago, a basic Shaina.
She came with normal hands, open and flat.

But, I noticed a change on a picture :



Here, is a Yern. This picture comes from Lati shoppingmall.
Are basic Yern sold with these hands ?
Is it possible to get these hands ?

hello everyone, sorry to come in between convos if there are any going on, but my friend is interested in purchasing a Blue line Rucas doll. however she says theres something going on with the payments. i'm not sure exactly what but she thinks that someone might hack her credit card or it will load a virus or something....does anyone else ever had a problem with the checking out option on latidoll's site? she wrote to them but they said there wasn't any problem either. and tried it on different computers but i think it resulted the same? :/

 

What was it doing that caused her to think that? I didn't have any problems with them, but I think I paid via paypal? Maybe she can do the same?

 

okay so what i thought was wrong wasn't the problem and i see what she means. in order to buy stuff from lati dolls you need to make an account right? well for some reason i can check to see if theres a duplicated name and also i can't click submit button on the bottom, i tried opening it in a new tab but it only said show the image or save the image of the buttom itsself. @_@;

:problem solved: turns out that for some reason firefox won't allow the java script the site needs to sign up or order things. so i used my internet explorer and it all works! but thank you all for your help my friend is overly happy now!

I'm looking into buying a Lati Blue girl body as a possibly hybrid for my Unoa Lusis faceplate. How's the posability of these girls? I own a Lati Yellow Sp and a Lati Green (both old type bodies), and the Yellow Sp girl in particulat is extremely kicky. Do the blues have the same problem?

Meike - I don't know if you are still looking for answers about Lati Blue posability? I have a Lati Blue Yern and I don't find her 'kicky' really. She stands very well and her hands pose nicely with her double jointed elbows. I do find the posing of her legs a bit limited - her knees are not double jointed - but the Lati Blue girl body is such a beautiful sculpt I really don't mind too much.

Things have been pretty quiet in here, so I thought I'd give some picspam for everyone to enjoy! My Rei (as of yet unnamed) got to try on a nice Rennie outfit at a recent meet-up, so I took some pictures... and, of course, I had to take pictures of he and his sister (AoD Rao) dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine. I didn't make the Jasmine outfit, only modded it, but I made the Aladdin my boy's wearing from scratch. Hope everyone enjoys!

Kendrah I love the costumes! Very very cute! Is your girl normal-Y? I was thinking of getting and AOD boy body for my Rei since he's sharing a body with my Khan, but I was wondering if the resin match was good.

 

Alright, I'm going to put this here, since I'd say it's relevant to this thread more than the AoD thread. If anyone wants to know about resin matches, here are some shots of my NS Rei holding the head cap and heeled feet of an AoD SD in N-Y. I wanted to make sure he had both in the picture because her heeled feet are NOTICEABLY a different color than the rest of her, despite being purchased at the same time. They're still N-Y, that's pretty clear... but much lighter.

The first picture is with a diffused flash. The second is up close with flash. The third is at a distance with flash. There is sadly no natural lighting right now, since it's dark out, or I'd take one without flash. I'm rarely home during the day, though...



On the whole, I'd say the resin is a fairly good match, especially if you happen to get the paler N-Y of the heeled foot, but I don't know how to ensure that. The last picture is probably the most true to life.

 

*gasp* Eeeeps! Thank you so much! The lighter resin matches so well! If I do get a darker normal-Y, I guess some blushing should help!

 

I should note that my lati boy is young enough (ie, I haven't had him too long or handled him/taken him out often) that he doesn't seem to have yellowed any. If your Rei has yellowed, it might match the darker resin just fine...

 

I was wondering, does anyone have a picture of a Lati Blue boy next to a Soom Rosette girl? My Rei isn't really getting along with my BC Ellen...her head looks HUGE next to his! Lol!

 

I´ve been having problem with my Plum. She doesnt seem to be the girl I though.
So I restringed her and gave her a makeover.
Her legs are still floppy and wants to bend outwards, but the makeover made her pretty and "right" ^^


She seems to be a violinist.

guls207, thanks! I have had a struggle finding a wig what suits my rucas head (its so small!) and I think I have tried 4 on him already, no success.

 

Aww I know what you mean! I went through a few wigs myself (thankfully the unwanted ones went to my other dolls). Luke is wearing a 6-6.5inch wig, but this style fits well. I tried another style in the same size by the same company and it looks weird...like it's too small even though it fit. Standard 7-8 inch wigs are waaaaaay to big on him. Try Leeke's D sized wigs...most of them should look alright.

 

Slowly but surely my Rhys is starting to look like himself. I just bought a shirt at today's meet, and had to share. Also, it's a good time to show off his wig. His wig is by Happy Camille, and I got it on a group order here on the marketplace. I told her the exact head measurement from the site, and it fits quite well, although with these pin heads the bangs are naturally quite long. Still, bangs can be remedied! Their style selection and color selection is a dream, and they do customs! Price is really good, too, and most people attest to them having great quality. XD
