1. titytetee, I've paid my Edria on Feb 2, and it was already shipped on Feb 11. But it seems to me it was great lucky

2. I am safe. Four years of waiting and that is an awesome body, but the face is now too soft for what I need.

I think she has done an amazing job on this. She sweated blood to produce it, but she did it. And that is the best BJD torso out there, so kudos, Julia. First doll body and she smashed it out of the park.

3. I'm waiting to see posing photos and a price before I rule him out. I am still waffling between Ludwig and Ahaz. It seems rude to ask about Ahaz right after Ludwig has been announced though.

4. Release is proposed for July. So start saving your pennies, everyone.

5. Just saw him. Guess I'll do some doll spring cleaning next weekend and finally put all that stuff up for sale that I want to get rid of.

6. Wow!! That body!

7. So excited for July! The body looks amazing finished, and I'll be interested to see Ludwig with a faceup - it's too hard to tell what he really looks like in that dark gray. I admit, I'm still curious if Ahaz is coming, but this is a wonderful new development! XD

8. Gah after years of waiting, and now I'm unsure. That body is beyond fantastic lookin'. I don't know how I feel about his face now though. I'll have to wait for more shots. I wanna see how that body poses (especially the torso joint) as well.

9. The new guy looks great! Hope to see more of him.

How do you order Open-Eyed Roderich? Is he still available?

10. My thoughts as well. I kind how MadamMauMau feels, but I'll wait for more pics before my final verdict.

11. Hot damn, I can't believe it! :D

I love him, but I want to see how the joints work also. I loved the Iplehouse bodies' appearances, but found I was not a fan of how the joints looked when extended; so, I must be patient and wait to see. That said, I do think aesthetically I already prefer this body over Iplehouse - something about it is very fluid and powerful. Besides which it is amazing and gratifying to see him complete at last, after all the setbacks. Congratulations to Julia, truly a masterpiece and so glad she did not give up on this wonderful doll! :)

Omg, getting so excited now! I would love, love love this guy to go along with my Venitu... they would look SO handsome together! And maybe they would make a good couple.

I want to see the face with a faceup. I'm the opposite of most here, Ludwig wasn't fully my type at first glance all those years ago but now I am intrigued. However, ultimately Ahaz may be more my guy (he looks so distinctive with that nose like a classical sculpture). I would love to see either of these dolls in tan. Red Dove's tan was very lovely.

12. Looking closer at that gorgeous guy - I do hope that's a doll stand for Tinys that his left leg's sticking in ... Cos if it's any larger than that, I won't know where to put that hunk of resin! *lol*

13. I am safe from Ludwig too but omg! that body is so stunning, perfection
Julia is wonderful sculptor, Ludwig body is best bjd body I've ever seen
hope she will work on smaller size in future cause this body way too big for my boy
ceza you're so lucky! mine is 14 days now hope I'll got mail from LLT soon

14. I am ... strangely disenchanted? Maybe it'ts the grey that is putting me off and I will totally fall for the resin version, I don't know. He just feels more like a statue than a doll to me at the moment - beautiful, but I'm not feeling it.

I certainly did not expect that :p.

15. Wow, has it really been four years now, MadamMauMau? My goodness.

I am ... most definitely not safe, haha. The face sculpt has certainly changed significantly since its early incarnations, but as of these latest photos, it still has pretty much all the features I liked about it to start with. What I am pleased to see is the proportionate size of the head relative to the body, as I had previously been concerned about him looking a tad bobble-headed (even with that large neck circumference). He really is quite beautiful from head to toe. Time to prepare myself for July.

16. I really love the overall package. My main worries are: how do the joints look when they are used to their full extent? Do they pinch? (I have a twigling's and I have repeated bad experiences with her knee joints. These things draw blood if you are not careful.) How good is the bust joint? Basically, I'd love to see him with his joints working. At the moment, the lack of pictures is off-putting.
I'd like to have him In tan too, so I hope Julia will propose enough tan to go around. I wouldn't buy him in any other colour. He screams 'pirate' at me rather than roman emperor.

17. This might be strange but the more I look the more I really, really, really want

...his groin-guarding modesty leaf

I wonder is it stuck on with glue, or a magnet? I am so intrigued.

(But no really, in all seriousness: I would love to buy this item. Come on. What self-respecting resin man's wardrobe would be complete without one.)

18. LOL. You could make one out of polymer and attach it with poster tac. That is what I would do. Or you can get mulberry paper or millinery leaves, if you wanted a more realistic look.

There you are. A challenge whilst we wait on more info. Make Ludwig a fig leaf. XD

19. Hello everyone!!

I have a quick question that hopefully one of you lovely people may be able to answer for me. Can a Roderich head fit on a Dollstown 15yr body? My Roderich has been languishing without a body since last November, and while he's body-sharing right now, I'd love to get him a body of his own. If anyone has ANY ideas whatsoever as far as this combination goes, I'd love to hear it!

Thanks in advance! And Ludwig is simply DIVINE. If I had any idea who I would make him into, I'd order him in a heartbeat!! If my current LLT boy is any indicator of Julia's artistry, it would be a treat to see Ludwig in the flesh. :aheartbea

20. I have a Roderich and a DT 15 boy (old type) and it might look a bit odd. Roderich has a long face and the DT neck is a bit short. But I can probably swap his head onto it this weekend for a quick photo. :)

21. St. James -

That would be MARVELOUS!! I have a feeling I may need to modify the neck anyway, which I'm happy to do if it's needed. Any feedback you can give me about the combination is much-appreciated! 8D

22. Has anybody any news concerning Ludwig?
I am surprised Julia hasn't released any detailed pictures.
Has she hit a problem with the body?

23. To be honest - I'm hoping he gets delayed for another few months so that when he's released I can pay him off in full without doing too much damage to my bank account. :)

24. I can relate to that!

25. No changes yet to the proposed July release, so let's see how it goes.

26. I think expecting him to be released in July is a bit optimistic. I imagine it will be later now, as there haven't been any pictures of the doll cast in resin.

27. Got my Red Dove back from lightlybattered today, with a faceup! The resin has also been matched to the slightly darker Dollstown resin.

28. @Selidor: What a handsome boy!! He looks amazing, especially with that wig and those eyes! Have you named him yet?

29. @Shadeling Sanguine
Thanks! He doesn't have a name yet. I'm terrible at coming up with them, and I'm hoping getting some outfit designs done for him will inspire me.

30. Oh! I love tan Red Doves! :love
Such a beautiful face-up!

31. Coming out of deep lurk....
I've gotten to the point where I only periodically look for updates. I was pleased to see the April pics. Maybe by next April we'll have a doll.

32. Selidor, he is gorgeous! :D

33. Very beautiful doll!

34. My Roderich (Thranduil) has gotten some overdue attention lately. He still needs some cleaning, as the pants he was wearing stained his naughty bits. But now he has a shirt and new eyes from Kanis Augen. He might come to Austin BJD Con with me and my Iple BIDs, so hopefully I can finish his entire outfit in time. Here's a picture I took yesterday:

[IMG]DSC_1300 copy by AndreaJEP, on Flickr

There are a few more of him in my Flickr album, if you are interested, because he co-starred in a box opening I did yesterday. :D

35. Azha Nei, Thanks for such a cheerful prediction :ablink:. At present I am more worried by Mars from Granado who is threatening to dig into the pot of gold I don't have :sweat.

Zardi, the box opening seems to have taken a lot out of him! :)

36. I can't --- I just can't look. Roderich is on my wish list and if I get to see him this often I know I'll cave before I have money. He is just delicious.

37. Oooh, your Roderich is gorgeous! Love the eyebrows! And the freckles look so natural - amazing!

38. Khell
I'm glad to hear it, because my main doll philosophy in my face-up is realism)
