Red Dove looks lovely.

 

Hi chizzie! Welcome to the eternal waiting room of LLT fans. There are no dolls for me this year, but I would love to see an actual release of Ludwig and Black. Then maybe I could catch one of them on the next release period.

 

Has anyone heard from LLT recently? How long does it usually take until you get an answer when you send them a question via their website? I asked them a couple of days ago if there's any news on Ludwig/Ahaz/Black Pearl (cos if they won't be released anytime soon - as in "some time during the next six months or so" - then I might change my doll plans ...) but nothing, yet. Are they on vacation maybe?

 

The last time I received a reply from them, it was sent to my spam folder so I didn't find it until weeks later. Maybe check there?

 

When I ordered my Red Dove and asked a question about the tan skin I got an email answer in a couple days. This was in May though.

 

I have not really communicated with them, so I can't answer that.

Today I received my TS Red Dove. When comparing him to pics of tan Roderichs, it seems as if the resin is lighter and more yellow this time around. Maybe at the end of this month I can confirm this with the help of a friend and compare it to dollshe pale tan which it is supposed to match (fingers crossed - I really want to get a dollstown body for him >__<)

Congrats on your arrival and thanks for posting! cries in a corner softly....he is adorable in tan! I am also really interested in hearing how the match goes with Dollshe pale tan. I love the Dollshe/Dollstown pale tan.

Meanwhile I should hopefully receive my boy back from the artist this weekend. I'll post a pic....

Red Dove is such a beautiful sculpt! - the first to grab me in quite a while. Could anyone recommend a natural and slender boy (as opposed to adult) body that might work with this head? Thx!

 

The new Dollstown 15 body is much younger, but I don't know if the resin match would work. My Roderich matches the new oriental skin but I think the LLT color has changed since then. The old Aria/new Switch 60cm boy body is wonderfully slim and youthful.

 

No. Sorry folks. No new information, just wondering if anyone has heard anything. The proposed July date for updates on Ludwig and Black Pearl has come and gone and nothing new on the site or on Julia's flickr. And, here I am, starting to plan the Christmas Doll. Will it be Ludwig? No idea. Very much hope so, though.

 

I contacted them around end of July/beginning of August asking for a rough estimate on when we might expect Ludwig/Black Pearl (whether it would be this year or next year or whenever). Got no answer ...

 

Hi everyone! I'm waiting for my Red Dove to return from the face-up artist and have been shopping for a body for him. Does anyone have any thoughts about the Doll Leaves DSB60-02 (http://www.doll-leaves.com/doll/view_373.html)? It's just shy of 60cm and seems to have the right neck size. Do you think it might be too small for him? Should he really be on a larger body like his LLT brothers? I would love to hear your thoughts!

 

Ludwig! New pic finally up on Julia's flicker. Maybe this means good news for us who are desperately waiting for him? Sure looks like it. Really loving the look of his body.

OMFG! Is that him nearly finished, or am I being overly hopeful? I have suspended ordering a Christmas doll just in case it might happen this year. Now, when I had just about settled on a Venitu, this! Looking at this, it will probably be some time before he is up on order, so perhaps a summer 2015 Ludwig is more likely. I want to see a proper picture!!!!!!

I know right?! He looks pretty darn close to being finished to me, but probably still a while. Enter way, I can't wait! I would have posted that link but it just wasn't working. I really want to see a proper picture too. His face just makes me cry a little in happiness every time I see him and I want to see more of him! XD

Good to get some measurements, although these are presumably from the master doll, so likely to shrink by, what 5-10%? Currently about EID Model sized, with bigger hips than a 28M, but let's see what that translates to for a cast doll. I would still like a clearer picture, and shoulder and head measurements. But, from what can be seen, looking good.

Oh no. That means I really need to start considering trying to get a huge (70ish! I have no doll that large!) boy past Belgian customs (which never works, so what I really need to consider is paying 1/3 more than the asking rpice O_o) and shell my beloved Arthur. I, um, do have a wig for him already.

Anyways ... *takes deep breath* Boy, I can't tell you how GLAD I am I put all that money aside for Ludwig and (almost) never touched it!!! That pic's awesome! Absolutely gorgeous! And with Julia saying she hopes she can finish him soon, maybe it's just a matter of months now till he's released (instead of, like, years or an indefinite length of time ...). I got too many dolls already but never mind, I'll make room for him. Somehow. I might have to live on my balcony because there's no room left for me in my flat with all those dolls but HE MUST BE MINE!!! XD

And I can't believe that you managed to hold onto that money for, what, two years? Three? Seems like a lifetime. I have grown old sitting in this thread. XD I have spent mine many times over. I will ask on her flickr if she has an estimated release date for him. Time to review the finances again. And I will be with you on the balcony well, the patio, in my case. The dolls will be sprawled on the furniture and I will be out in the back garden, gazing longingly in.

 

Hmmmm, probably in the minority, but I'm not sure I'm still here for that body. Somehow I liked the previous aesthetic better.
Curious about what his face will look like finished though.

He's incredible and I need this boy but I'll have to start saving again too.

 

I borrowed some of the money now and then but always replaced it. *gg* I also kinda kept true to my word of Ludwig being my last big doll. *mumbles* I didn't say I wasn't gonna buy any more big dolls in between saying that and finally getting him, did I?
Ludwig would be a great birthday gift. Oh well, we'll see when he's ready. We've been waiting for so long, what's a few more months?

 

It's hard to tell since the angle is so different from the last shot we saw. But having handled EID guys fairly regularly, I am sad to say Ludwig won't be mine unless I can just buy his head. I just don't enjoy that doll size/proportion, no matter how visually appealing they are in photos. But that's still not a resin cast, and we still can't see much in the way of legs, so it will be a while yet, I'd imagine.
I am hoping Ahaz comes out soon (he is supposed to be a 2014 release) and he'll be perfect for me and the Dollshe DSAM32 body that I still have stuffed under the bed. In the meantime, my partner should be getting her Red Dove soon.

 

Ahh, Ludwig, finally! It's been so long, I had given up on him. It's exciting to see a new picture of him!

 

Not to get any hopes up or so but Julia posted under the photo, answering to a question, that she hopes to finish him till Christmas. Which would be awesome! At the very least we can really see that as a sign he's almost done and will probably really be released within the next few months.

 

Yeah, I saw that. I don't have the money for him... *dies* But I really want him! Sad that Julia said he won't be available as just a head. I would have gladly taken just the head, but his neck size is 14cm? That's bigger than an EID or an Idealian, which would have been the body I would have wanted to put him on if I could have got just the head. I'd still love to get the full guy, if I ever had the money anyway.

 

Yeah, I was contemplating a split until I saw that neck measurement. He'd look like a bobblehead on any other body simply due to the width of his jawline! I am sure I will continue to waffle over getting a whole doll and starting over with an entire new wardrobe size and all of that business until the very last day of his ordering period.

 

Thing is, it seems that different dolls of the same proportions handle differently. EIDs are like blocks of ballast to handle. I can understand your dislike. However, Dollshe 28Ms, same size but different engineering, are like holding cats. So, he might not be so bad after all.

I like what she has done with the body. Nothing Earth shattering, but nothing there to complain about (apart from the cursory penis, perhaps). So, I am still probably in. I've grazed back through the thread and fallen in love again with that face. Last time we were seriously contemplating a release was two years ago. Two years! I can't see this being a Christmas release, though. If she does finish him by then (go, Julia!) it would probably be a New Year release. I can do that, I think.

 

Whenever he's done and released, I'll be ready. I've been ready for at least two years. *lol*

I think that the new male body and the Ludwig head look beautiful, but I can't commit until I've seen pictures of the body posing. Here's hoping they're both released soon

Is there some trick to getting LLT to respond to inquiries? I've asked them several times if they plan to re-release OE Roderich, and can never get a response.

Glad they responded to you, even if they ignored multiple emails from me. If they release him with the new body, that would be completely fine with me... But it sounds like far from a sure thing. That's too bad

 

Roderich won't even fit on the body that Julia is making for Ludwig, so that's definitely not going to happen.
I am never sure if the inconsistent communication is due to Miho or Julia or both. Never got a response to my inquiry about Ahaz when I ordered Red Dove. But at least the important part is reliable - we get the dolls we ordered in a timely fashion!

It's disappointing to hear that Roderich (of any variety) won't fit on that body. I guess I will have to keep checking the MP for him

Do you mean original Roderich? I like 11mm Eyeco best, but 12mm looks good too. Mine is currently wearing 13mm Eyeco, and I personally find the iris too big. I'm planning to switch him back to smaller eyes once I find the right ones.

Has anyone heard further news from LLT about their sculpt plans for the future? I am keenly interested in Ahaz and Ludwig. And, of course, that gorgeous male body. I admire this sculptor very much, I know the planned dates have come and gone and... come... and... gone... for quite a while now, so I shouldn't get my hopes up too much, but I really do hope 2015 is the year for one of these beautiful boys to be released. Even just the head would be wonderful.

 

Well, I actually hope right now Ludwig gets delayed a little longer because I'm just paying off a doll head on the Marketplace and depending on when I get paid my wages for January I might need to borrow some little money from the "Ludwig Funds" ...

 

Is it time to nudge Julia on flickr again? However, I am also not in a position to buy (just bought two dolls in the first month of a year in which I wasn't supposed to be buying any. *sigh*). I really shouldn't even look at anything until the summer, so no hurry on my part.

 

Ah, so no news yet. I'm in the same boat as you two in terms of being all out of dolly funds, so if he really went up for sale tomorrow I would not be able to join in. But, it'd be nice to know he's out there! I just keep being worried that maybe Julia has lost interest in this particular project, I know it's been a long road, but I so hope it will be completed. Personally, I've been waiting for Ludwig so long now that I'd probably be all like "No WAY! Nice joke!" if I heard he'd be about to be released in a month or so ... XD I don't care how long it takes as long as I WILL get my Ludwig eventually. Good things are worth waiting for.

Oh, a new head! Lovely boy! For a moment I thought there might be a release date for Ludwig - but thank goodness there isn't. I need to save up more money for him first! *lol* Used part of my Ludwig funds for another doll ...

 

He's almost like a mix between Roderich and Edria.

It has been a whle since I last was here. I got my tan skin Red Dove head last year in the beginning of August and finally got him a body. I opted for the Dollstown 15 yrs body in paletan.

Please excuse the OT Venitu.
The match is ok, maybe 75% but luckily the body is darker and more reddish in tone, so blushin of the head should easily fix this.

However, we did some resin comparisons and found an almost perfect resin match in Luts tan skin (the darkest tan currently available). It acually matches even better in IRL than on the pic but I would estimate it to be at 90%. I have not checked neck sizes, yet, but if you're looking to hybrid the tan skin Red Dove head to a slim, boyish looking body, the Luts Delf Type 4 body in tan skin is definitely worth checking out!

That's interesting to know about the Luts tan. It was something I considered when I was looking for a body for mine, but nobody at my local meets had the right colour, and I couldn't find a reliable comparison photo. I have no regrets about the DT15 body I ended up buying though.
