. The only thing better than getting new dollies is watching others get new dollies, and sharing pictures I have some unforeseen bills, so I'm going to be good ( make no mistake, I've been VERY bad these past 6 months!) And I really hope you all share via pictures so I can enjoy them too

In the meantime, I'll start sharing soon if my Lydia, if she gets here this month.

 

Oh, that's heartbreaking! You need to contact the dealer, even if you're upset with them, they are the channel you need to go through. I'm so sorry!

 

Yeah I sent them a message about it. I'm gonna see if I can't glue the pieces of "hair" back onto the head so at least I can make some use of his head, but I want a replacement for sure.

 

Just in case, make sure they don't need it back?? But yes, at least that way you have something until the new head arrives (it's better than a headless body )

 

Aww... that so sucks, I am sorry! I'd almost automatically say contact Impldoll but you went through a dealer, so sadly you'd have to go back through them. They are nice people though and I wouldn't be scared to contact them. It may just take a bit longer for satisfaction when dealing with a 3rd party.


In side news, I bought the 2 pink skin sample heads for the Derrick and Narissa dolls. I could have gone my whole life nicely without the darker head versions but when I saw those, sparkles just filled my vision. Loved them!

 

@chalyss I'm just a little confused?? Would you normally have gotten the darker skin, but the pictures made you fall in love with the normal skin version?

 

I tend toward darker skins except where my demons are concerned. Then I have decided to go with white. But while the darker skinned samples were pretty, they were not startling. I accidentally saw the paler versions and the horn detail and lip detail just sealed the deal for me! So yeah, I guess so!

I messaged Impldoll's facebook and they said they will make a new head for me.

Yay, @chalyss ! I saw the heads on FB and there was a spark of temptation! Glad you got them - post lots of pics! The detail you can see in the white ones is awesome!

Sorry your head arrived damaged @garrenn but Impldoll are always keen to help so I hope you get your replacement soon!

 

@rubydoll, I have never done that before... I probably should have left them for you! Would have saved me buying new bodies. *LOL* I will definitely post pics- they will be shipped in March.

Oh no, it was only a brief and vague temptation - I really have nowhere to put them and I still owe my poor deposed Martin a body! But I'm looking forward to stalking them on your Flickr XD

 

I see white and silver and sparkly jewels. They strike me as similar to Galadriel and Celeborn in carriage.

For Martin, you might wanna check into 5stardoll's 70cm body. Neck will gap but might look good. Same for resinsoul Yi.

 

Just wanted to update everyone! Like I said, the person who runs the Impldoll facebook group said they would make a new head for me. Sounds like it will be sent off around March which is disappointing but understanding given their festivities start soon. Was pretty happy with how promptly they responded though.

In the mean time, I was successfully able to glue together the pieces of hair that had been broken off and gave him a faceup as well as an underbite fang mod. Figured I might as well practice since I'll be getting a second head. When that one comes in, I may mod off the horns of my old head so I can have one with horns and one without. Silver linings!
I may try and pay someone to give a faceup and teeth mods to the new head that comes in. The character is very special to me and I want him to look right. The exception will probably be the heavy arm mods that I'll probably do myself.

Anyway, here's a pic. I'm still pretty new to faceups but I think it came out alright for the most part.

Ah, so the character is half demon and he kind of has these growths on his arms. His arms are blue like the horns on his head. I did a sort of practice run on an old messed up body I had. Not painted or anything, just practiced with some epoxy.

 

@chalyss I'm leaning very heavily towards the Yi but I think Resinsoul have stopped doing custom colours - hopefully just while they were doing their event - so I haven't contacted them yet. But I will check out 5Star Doll. What harm can it do?....

@garrenn that's a very good first attempt - love the arch on the eyebrow, he looks fierce! Good luck with the arm mods tho the practise run makes it look like you won't need it. It's a shame about the wait for the new head but it seems you have plenty to keep you busy.

 

@garrenn the arm mods remind me of the horn/bone thingies on the Miguel the Demon Hunter sculpt. Those projections are one of the things that attracted me to the sculpt.

 

I can definitely see what you mean. That'll be something to possibly reference when making the real thing!

Also, this has probably been asked but does anyone have any recommendations on where to get shoes to fit such large Impldoll bods? My Aries he's so massive! His thighs alone put my Homme Ducan's pencil thin body to shame!

 

@garrenn The horns are quite sturdy on Miguel, too. If you need reference shots, please don't hesitate to ask. They might not be the best pics, but I can certainly try to get close-ups if you need/want any. Mkhai is currently in pieces right now as I'm in the process of metal leafing all those cool horns so individual shots should be simple to take.

 

Yeah that might be helpful! Wallas' arms are definitely more.... pupley and fleshy than Miguel's but it could certainly help with composition.

Yeah, Blueblooddoll sells big enough shoes, as does Iplehouse or anything that will fit an Iplehouse doll. Miro doll has a few pairs cheap. Check ebay or Alice's Collection, or legenddoll.net or clover-singing.com. Or Sunny's World!

I think I have a new favorite sculpt. (Scroll down to the bottom for the pink skin head with white horns. The faceup with the red lips isn't great and hides her gorgeous teeth.

sorry if im disturbing anyone i just won an auction of impldoll Iris, seller had very good rating, and i was risking on auction, she dont have original box or coa, but i wanted to ask does all dolls have writen on back impldoll logotip ? like thins in picture ?

 

Mkhai (Miguel the Demon Hunter) has the Impl name in fancy script carved into the back of his head.

 

im not sure about that but i think doll is not recast i definetly recognised dolls face but im new and would like to know how i could recognise in other way that doll is from impldoll company ? sorry for stupid question ...

 

As far as I know Impldoll hasn't been the target of recasting. They are a smaller company, less expensive and less popular than others like Fairyland. All my impldolls have the name on the back of their head, the same as your picture. They also have numbers inside their heads which I assume corresponds to the sculpt.

It's good that you're checking but I don't think you need to worry. Iris is a lovely sculpt so I hope you'll share some pictures of her

 

as soon as she will be with me, seller told me she will ship doll in tuesday, so think so till next sunday doll will be with me :-) she will be in tan colour :-)

yes she will be my first doll, and i already made order trought dealer impldoll Aurora, so Iris will be my first doll, second will be Aurora, but it will be around 2-3 months of waiting for her :-)
im really hope so Iris will come healthy and sucsessfull :-)

 

I love Aurora - such a great jawline and lips. Did you order her with a faceup? How about Iris? The waiting is the toughest part so it's good you'll have Iris to keep you company!

 

Iris will be in tan with face up :-) i hope so she will be with me in coming week, and Aurora i ordered with face up, muscle real skin body :-P and of course i asked frinckles :-) from that moment when i saw Aurora i knew that this doll is for me :-) i fell in love with her :-) she is going trought angelesque :-)

Iris is a great sculpt, congrats! And you're safe... Impl are not recasted. No money in it.

 

Is it just me, or would Derrick and Narissa work really well as fan-characters for Disney's Gargoyles? I was thinking about getting Narissa in a regular skin color, but now I'm thinking about gray, or maybe a custom color - brick red, green, or purple .

My two model bodies arrived today. For the price, they are amazing. Unfortunately the color is too pink for my fairyland dolls, however, I think I will try the normal - yellow or pay extra to have them color matched. I was also thinking I could get some white heads, which shouldn't be hard to blush to match. I'm hoping I can take pictures tomorrow

I'm really bummed though because my Alma head still hasn't arrived

 

What a shame. I love the Model bodies - when I moved my Tdelia head onto an AoD body there was no way I was gonna part with her old body so I got an Aigne head for it. I have a Pukifee so I could take a pic of her with my RS body but it's a couple of years old and their newer resin is more translucent.

I'm surprised your head didn't come with the bodies. I'd have thought that would have been one of the quicker things to produce as it doesn't require stringing as bodies do. Hope she arrives soon!

 

Thanks, @rubydoll personally, I suspect it was forgotten. Either by DDE or Impldoll. I hope that when they figure out what they're doing, that it won't take another 4-6 months to get!

 

@IngieBee I am so sorry to hear about your missing Alma head. The two times I took the offer for free heads from IMPL, they were always shipped with the body I ordered at the same time. Hopefully things get sorted out by DDE or Impldoll soon!

hello, for everyone, meet Viktoria, or Vika, there you go model body knees single joint, tan skin, she arrived today :-) she is really beutiful and i dont have any complains about her :-) clothes in to do list :-D will be bussy in next few weeks to dress her properly :-D

And just to picspam, here's My Dylan on the Star body with Models Ziv and Aigne. She's in (kitten) heels which makes her taller. I've attempted a faceup on Dylan but I feel it lacks the personality I'm going for - though part of that could be that I made his eyes a bit too deep. I'm still learning.
