They may be, I was just going by what another member had mentioned. But I still think I'll have to pass. I'll just live vicariously through others. So however gets him will have to post lots of pics, please. Also, did anyone notice the dolls won't be recieved until August 2016?

 

Yeah. I think it was about 6 months for Ciel as well. I guess as it's a limited doll they need to get all the orders in and paid and then get them all made, face ups done and clothes made. That's probably about 6 months work to get everything finished and ready to ship.
It took about a year to do my custom Sebastian with getting his head, face up, finding the right body, getting the clothes customised to fit and everything (and I still haven't finished his gloves!). So I guess the ready-made Sebastian is still faster!

 

That's true. And if they don't have a lot of staff members it will take a while to get things made. I know how long it take for me to do face ups and sew clothes.

I have not ordered from IOS/Dolk before and I was wondering if anyone knows if Sebastian will be available to order really early in the morning for people in the USA? Thanks in advance!

 

My luck at the mega millions is not good, my kingdom for this Sebby, course my hubby would have me committed as well. That price for him...well he is worth it right?

 

Does it matter if the order period is in the early morning or not? or isthis sebastian limited by the amount?!

The quantity is also limited. It says that when they reach the limited number they will stop taking orders, even if it's still within the order period.

 

Sadly I will have to drool at owner pics, I do have to get my Osiris his body......think I can get a wig similar to that, but that sly smile has me weak in the knees.......so not fair.....bad timing too.

 

Gosh, I really want to get Sebastian (big fan of the character)... but I'd only be able to manage it with a layaway.... Ciel had a layaway option I think... so I have my fingers crossed for Sebastian.

 

I'm a little disappointed at how high up his nose seems to be in some of these new photos! I might cave and get him anyway, but I'm waffling.

Yeah. He doesn't look very much Sebastian to me. The face is the wrong shape. Which seems kind of strange as IOS sculpts usually have a much sharper jaw anyway. Blood and Osiris have a much closer face shape.
I was wondering if the delay in releasing him was because they were changing the sculpt a little, but I guess not.

I SO do! They are simply amazing. I haven't worked with other companies so this one is my first for bothe Lacrimosa and Blood's body and I just love how honest they are and how they go above and beyond.

 

Im also disappointed in his look... It looks like he's still got his baby face... I guess I was expecting more. Also I'm in a dilemma, I can't choose between Ticuk or Angeltoast for my Osiris' Sebastian faceup. lol ​

 

Dolk may do a (short) layaway, but initially I was told no, and after I was told super-short, yes. But it was, like, a month or so, as I recall, so not helpful if you're thinking you need to spread his price out over 90 days or anything, unless Santa brings a lot of gift cards in his sack you can trade in for Sebastian. Dolk were totally pleasant to work with the entire time, I was quite happy with them overall, and would order from them again.

It was easily 6 months for Ciel, so I'm unsurprised for the wait time for Sebastian, and that's fine, because of course, they're saying it up-front so we can set our expectations accordingly. I admit, he's stunning to me but--and it may just be the holiday speaking, mind you--I'm just not feeling any particular drive right now (my fear about a release at this time of the year!). We'll see how I feel after Christmas day, when I can relax a little over here!

How to choose? They both do great face ups, but I guess Angeltoast is closer to you?

My Bel Canto's with Ticuk at the moment. Can't wait to see how he turns out!

 

AngelToast is my go to faceup artist! A wonderful person and I love her style when it comes to faceup's. All the others I wanted were either Full or had a waitlist.

 

AngelToast is my go-to as well, I absolutely love working with her! She's super nice, her work is gorgeous, and she always pays close attention to what I want. I did have a secondhand Migidoll head with a Ticuk faceup and it was very beautiful, but I don't have any personal experience with commissioning Ticuk. I don't think you would be disappointed with either though

On another note, I think that Sebastian looks amazing I have been planning and patiently waiting for almost 3 months; I was pretty much sold when I saw the initial teaser

Gave Larius a face up while the weather is warm (currently 65 here in MA!). Never happy with the eyes though. He's supposed to be on the pale side so I didn't add any blushing to his cheeks.

I also ordered him and I almost can't believe it! I have a feeling this will be the most agonizing wait I'll ever experience for a doll, but Sebastian is worth it Congrats to you too @Ravenwolf!

 

The "Payment Guide email" on Sebastian only took three hours after ordered~ They don't wait at all. Ciel was three days for the "Payment Guide email" to be sent.

I was afraid Sebastian might sold out within the first hour!!!! So.. I was up and logging in to be ready... No Sleep that night!!!

 

Congrats guys! So how long is the wait to get sebastian?
I wish I could join that anticipation joy, but I can't afford Seb, sadly. Oh well, I can't wait to see you-future-sebastian-owners to share pics

Haha I set my alarm and got up to @HEEDLESS_X_FEI I was also afraid he would sell out soon, just due to their
wording. I didn't sleep well either that night for that reason and from having had a big Christmas Eve dinner with wine/egg nog/mulled wine etc Hubby was teasing me for being as excited as a kid at Christmas

I'm never happy with eyes for the IOS guys either. They are a too difficult shape.

 

Nova also has some weird eyes, in the inside corners he has multiple lids so I had no idea how to blush them

Sticking my timid little head in - I might be the owner of a white skin Infernale here shortly, but I didn't realize he was 80cm! Oh boy...
I'm only just venturing into the world of big boys, as I just bought a DollShe Saint head and a Ringdoll Frankenstein 2013 head. My only complete SD right now is a 58cm Resinsoul girl.

Is there any chance the Infernale head would fit on something smaller than 80cm? Like a 70cm?

 

That was my initial thought when i first got a Lacrimosa xD But IOS was nice enough to let me order him on the old 70cm IOS Body ^^ They do warn that the head will look slightly out of proportions tho.... but its not so bad if you buff their shoulders up a little with some padding under their clothes :3

The new IOS 70 body will be too small for infernale since they kinda dropped the height of the body down to a 68 and the new shoulders are smaller so you may have to look into getting a secondhand old IOS 70 body or another company >.<

 

Stumbled upon this thread about Sebastian late in the game.

I wonder if they'd consider a special request for the purple line under his one eye to be removed/left off? That way he'd be a little more flexible, not just 'circus' based. Hmmm....

 

It's not part of the face up, it's a transfer. You can add it or not as you want. All the details are on the Volks sales page.

I posted in a BJD group on Facebook and got spammed with TONS of photos by a wonderful person with an Infernale
She did a whole bunch of head-swapping too, and I'm pretty confident that he'll work on a 68-72cm body ^^ The only issue now is finding one I like and a resin match xD

There was a 68-70cm DOD body that looked pretty darn good, and the Soom MegaGem body wasn't bad either. The only one she posted that looked weird was an HZ body, the neck was way too skinny. I'm also kinda wondering how about he'd look on an Impldoll body, either the 64-65cm STAR body or the 70-72cm IDOL body...although sometimes the square-ness of their bodies bugs me...

 

I have a 70cm DOD and he's really skinny. I'm surprised the 80cm head would even fit that body. I can only picture it looking like a bobble head. Unless there is another company aside from Dream of Doll that uses DOD for short???

 

For my Infernale head (That, someday, will have a body) I plan to get a ringdoll RMG-02 body. The proportions are really great, even if I only had the occasion to put the head beside a whole doll, the owner didn't want to switch heads ! But, for a white head, the NS of ringdoll matches well, not the WS.

The Super Gem Bodies I have are too short, it's really strange. I don't have a megagem to test...

 

I don't have an Infernale, but my Osiris has the same size head and he really needs a big body to avoid looking too bobble head. I planning to get him either a Loongsoul or Dikadoll 72cm body when I have the funds as I want a body that will stand and pose much better than the one he's on now.
(Of course that will probably mean I need to commission yet another butler suit! )

I think anything smaller than at least 70cm would be too small for an Infernale really.

 

DOI (DoD 70cm) bodies seems to be slightly smaller than the old IOS 70cm bodies o.o In my opinion, they would need bodies with 14.5cm wide shoulders atleast, to fit the head size o.o I could drop a picture of Lacrimosa with the old IOS 70cm body when i get home later if you want ^^

 

before i sold him i put my infernale head on a 60cm little monica body and it was only slightly bobble headed so maybe a muscular 70cm body would work?

this one was the only one i could find and it doesnt really show the body proportions (also its just flat out a horrible picture, that wig is terrible on him LOL) but i really do think he could pull off a 70cm body easily provided it was quite muscular/broad shouldered.

Infernale is gonna be my first white skin head/doll, so anywhere I can find suggestions on resin matches is great!

 

Well I've decided that this year I'm saving up for a new body for my Osiris, he needs something that will pose properly and stand without having to lean on the wall. Hot glue sueding has helped, but it's still nothing like so good as the DS and DZ bodies I have (both too small for him unfortunately). So I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get him a more expensive body this time. I've narrowed it down to Dika Doll 73cm ver 3 body or Loongsoul 73.5cm ver 2 body. I'm leaning towards the Dika Doll body at the moment. Hopefully the measurements are close enough that I won't have to get yet another butler suit for him - I think I'm on about the fourth now!

 

@Sylphe_7 Sounds like a good plan! I'm waiting to see how the head will look on the new body and hope for the best that the body will pose well and stand without a wall you've gone through four buttler suits already? ??

 

Well the original butler suit was for a different sculpt because Osiris was discontinued at the time. Then they had the small amount of restocks so I was able to get him. But the body for my original butler is too small so that suit was no good. Then I decided Osiris could use my DZ body and I got a butler suit for that one, but then I decided that was too small for him as well. Then I got a bigger body and another butler suit to fit.... and so it goes on! XD
I'm hoping that this time I might get a body that has similar size so that I don't need to get his clothes made for him again!
I think it will be Ok, because even though the Dika Doll and Loong Soul bodies are taller, they are a bit slimmer so they should be closer to the body shape I actually want for him.
Every time I think he's finished it turns out I change my mind! LOL

 

With all the suits you have, I'd kinda love to see a shot of all the boys wearing them. It will feel like Host Club! XD
