Wellll, I've plunked down half the payment for Ciel, and it's been confirmed! I'm so happy, because it's been some dithering and such, but now it's set into stone, and they've been so lovely, it always makes getting a doll so much better when everyone involved is just very pleasant, isn't that so?

Love the pics, too, I just think the world of IOS anyway, so it's like double rainbow for me right now!

That's exciting! How long is the wait for him going to be?
I agree it's great when doll companies seem so happy that you want their doll. I think nearly all the companies I've ordered from have been really nice and helpful, but IoS has definitely been one of the best. Not that I needed to contact them about my order because everything went really smoothly anyway, but they are very helpful with other questions. I wish I could afford to buy the new 70cm body from them, because I'd like to support them as well as getting a matching body, but I have to stick to cheap for bodies unfortunately.

 

They're saying they'll start shipping in mid-October, so I'm crossing my fingers, since I've ordered halfway through the period, I'll cross my fingers I may have him for Christmas this year, which would be splendid when I think about it!

I know, right? For me, it's a combination of great customer service and just wanting to reward great creativity. Reading the interview someone posted was sort of great insight into the creative process--more than anything, I want to see people who are offering their best, most amazing work rewarded for that. I've been a fan of IOS for years, and this is just like me saying 'you're welcome' to them saying 'thank-you' to me.

Their new 70 cm body is a dream, too! I'm sure I'll have it in my hands someday, but for now, I'm just thrilled to have stepped up and gotten half the payment tucked away, as that's half the battle right there, of course. Now to finish off the layaway quickly, and wait and see what else they may offer for other outfits or their official Sebastian or...anyone else, gulp!

Does anyone know if you can still buy Infernale?? I asked IOS, but haven't gotten a reply yet. The site doesn't say he's sold out or out of stock so I would think so. ._.

Well I had a reply to my Kuroshitsuji question.....

IoS is making the Sebastian doll for release this year and then they hope to add Grell later.
No plans for Joker so far..... so if you want one go and tell them and they might decide to do it!

NingyoTsukai Don't worry. They'll re-release him again because Infernale is not a limited doll afterall.

And I just got reply from IOS that they'll re-release class 50 (both CHO and CO) this month. I'm so excited

 

Well I've officially given up trying to find my Osiris his own body. I can't take any more of the desperate search for something that will fit and match and I can get clothes for!

So he is going to be sharing the Dollzone body and they'll just both have to live with it! I think it's too small for him, but at least after an hour of reworking the coat sleeves I finally made it fit. Mostly......

His wig still hasn't arrived and it was nearly dark and incredibly windy (that body can certainly stand well in a gale!), but this is about as far as I can go with him at the moment!

 

He looks real good on that body Sylphe_7, what DZ body type do you have him on? How is the fit for the neck area?

 

That's the old style 70cm body, 70-001. The neck fit is good and the head has a good range of movement. I'd say it fits about the same as the DZ Yuu head that actually belongs to this body.

I'm not a massive fan of this body, it doesn't have nicely sculpted muscles like the IoS bodies and the joints are horribly random. They swivel around and tie his limbs in knots when I'm dressing him and he ends up with everything backwards like he just fell out of a plane or something! But when you get it untangled it does stand like a rock and poses really well. The "Yes, my lord" pose is no problem at all!

I'd just really prefer to get him on a bigger body, I want an SSDF/Uncle size but I've totally failed to find anything that will work (or I can afford). But I'm fed up of him being a floating head in a little box, so it's timeshare on this body for now!

 

Sylphe_7, he looks great with the DZ body! May I know how well does the resins match? I'm still half-deciding to get the GRANADO Lads body for my Mezz.

I just had a shoot with my Mezz, and I plopped a wig that's not meant for him, but I think he looks rather dashing in it.

Oh my, ragster, I hate to tell you, but your Mezz loves that wig. It's odd how that works with a doll sometimes. I've a half-dozen or so of them (well, me and my sis) who are entirely wearing random wigs we put on them, occasionally just for sizing purposes, and those wigs just belonged to them...it's almost magical when it happens. He's so amazing in that wig! If you want him in something else, good luck convincing him.

ragster - Love your Mezz!
The resin match for my IoS head and DZ body is quite good. The body is a little bit pinker than his head but it's not very noticeable. The only thing is I think DZ resin is very variable colour so it might not match the normal pink from a different batch. Mine was from 2014 and while I was waiting for him there were some very different shades of pink coming from DZ so it might be a bit of a gamble!

I'm back to thinking about a Dragondoll body for my guy. I can't find out anything about the resin match though, I've tried asking all over the place with no luck, so I might just have to order and hope!

 

Could someone please help me regarding the "seams lines" on IOS dolls???? Do they removed the seams lines on their dolls or the dolls will come with seams lines??? PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks... Because I ordered their Ciel Doll.. and going to order their Sebastian..... The seams lines are my concerning............ I should have ask here first.... I don't want my dream will get crush off because of the "seams lines"
I will see how bad it is... so that I will keep Ciel and order Sebastian or not

OH... yes, Grell..... BUT.. I will get Joker not Grell... who knows.. .. And we are already putting our organs on sell in every directions for the Joker Doll~

 

Wouldn't it be logic for the Undertaker to come after Grell? But who knows how many Kuroshitsuji BJDs we will get anyway

 

I asked IoS (actually about Joker) and they said they were planning Grell next after Sebastian.

IoS said they don't have any plans for Joker at the moment, so you should ask them too! Maybe if enough people ask they will make plans for Joker too!

True. But as they are going with the Book of Circus theme I was hoping that Joker would be in with more of a chance (Grell doesn't even come into that arc in the manga and doesn't even have much of a role there in the anime). And an IoS official Joker would be epic. Oh well. They did say there may be more in the future......

I can't wait to get him! He will be my first bjd (even though I ended up preordering another doll soon after him)! His outfit looks really good!

 

Welcome aboard, greenbean! You are definitely starting off your doll collection with a bang, Ciel is amazing, and I'm confident all of us getting him are going to be over the moon with excitement! You've got to love all the extra pics, I mean it's Ciel, and his personality just sort of shines in these photos, which is quite outstanding!
