Ciel looks nice and has beautiful clothes (really amazing!). But I don't like his little lips. I prefer Ciel with his cold smile."Queen's Watchdog smile" lol
But I'm looking forward to Sebastian...

 

I put my order in for Ciel. He'll be my first doll from IOS, though I was eyeing the 50cm boy body back when Co and Cho were released for a character of mine. I once tried to make a 27cm version, but the fact that this one is such a faithful reproduction of Toboso's artwork makes me happy. I would also like to see the smile on his face, though! I mean, his handle at the Circus WAS "Smile," after all, which was hilarious when he had to fake a genuine smile.

I'm a bigger fan of the manga than the anime, personally, but the attention to detail is amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing the outfit sets they're releasing for him later in the year. (Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but from the website I could tell they're probably going to be his usual outfit with the green coat and that infamous pink dress.)

Usually making my own characters is what I buy BJDs for, but I like Ciel so much and don't intend to change anything about him. Well, I won't always make him wear the hat. BJD hats drive me crazy sometimes.

solitary agent - yay! Another Ciel! I'm so looking forward to drooling over everyone's photos!
I was hoping IoS might release the 50cm body again because it would be the perfect height for my Ciel and 50cm is a really difficult size to find.
I absolutely prefer the manga too, but I did think they did a great job with the Book of Circus anime. I hope they're going to keep doing more of the manga story arcs.

Maybe if by time they release him I can get him depending on how he looks, if not, perhaps there is someone here willing to do a split on his outfit and body, cause I would love to put Sebastian's Black outfit on my Osiris. XD

 

I totally agree, but he still looks amazing and I would go for him if his price wasn't quite so steep.

After all, Ciel Phantomhive was the one that lead me to discover BJDs! After watching the anime and reading the manga, I thought Ciel would make an absolutely adorable doll with all that fabulous Victorian-style clothes he wears. So, I searched for "Ciel doll" and got back some BJD hits. I was like " What the heck are these?" And fainted at the prices too, but I started learning about BJDs. At that time, quite a few people were using Luts Bory as Ciel, so Bory became my first BJD!

Very interested to see what Sebastian will look like too. IOS did such a stunning job of Levi from Attack on Titan.

Well those would be good too! But like Sebastian and Ciel I think they are fairly doable with the right sculpt (like some of the discontinued IoS heads *sob*). But Joker..... I need IoS to make that one for me as a full set. IoS? You listening?

The new guy, Jade? Doesn't do anything for me at all really. I love the old IoS sculpts. If this is their new direction I don't like it much.

Wow. Super realistic. I'm not really into dolls that look too much like real people, but I think IOS did a fantastic job.

 

Another person here liking Jade. He flashed me when I saw his sculpt for the first time. And now the super realistic face up... In the beginning I was a bit skeptic because of it but now I like it. Guess I am just not used to seeing such a realistic doll head but it fits my style of character very well. I like how he has this older and rougher look (and I am sucker for beards LOL). I already have to many ideas if I should go for him... XD

Same here. I also wasn't sure when I saw the blank sculpt. I really like him with this face-up though.
Jade is also very different from the other dolls A1, A2 and Blue that IOS released since the old sculpts were discontinued. I wonder if more realistic sculpts are a trend at the moment. Iplehouse has had realistic sculpts for a while now, dollshe started sculpting realistic dolls about a year (?) ago ...

 

Love Jade too. ^.^ I really hope they will sell the head individually with this awesome faceup.

My faceup artist has my Osiris and I have his demon eyes, now all I need is a black fur wig and body.......clothes too...I guess.

I'm waiting for the new wig for mine - need much longer side-bangs (is this a word?) than any I have. And I have to get him the right body - need funds! And I have to get him a new butler outfit, because I want to get him a taller body so the one I have won't fit - need more funds!

Might get him some demon eyes - just for special occasions!

I really wish IoS didn't discontinue the old sculpts. I'm sure I could find a potential Joker character in one of those if they don't make an official one. There isn't really anything else I like so much for manga/anime characters as the old IoS sculpts.

 

Yeah I hear ya, if IOS had done more Bleach characters there could have been a problem for me...... I can't decide which body to put my Osiris on when he gets back. I was leaning towards Ringdoll Grown or Spirit Doll, but I'm not sure.

Ringdoll and Spirit Doll bodies look great, but both out of my price range What is the resin match like?

I wanted to get the new IoS 70cm body for him when it's released, but I think that will be out of my price range too. *sniffle...sob*
So at the moment I'm considering the new 72cm Resin Soul body. Seems to be a good match and it's hopefully big enough for what I need. But none of the clothes I have will fit.

I could put him on my DZ 70cm body, at least as a temporary body. But that still gives me the problem of the butler suit not fitting..... and that body drives me seriously insane! Every time I dress it all the joints screw themselves around backwards and I can't figure out what's going on until I take the clothes off again. Arrgghh.

HEEDLESS_X_FEI - don't worry! I'm really new at this too! And I'm bouncing about making expensive mistakes all over the place! It's all fun though!

XD And I agree with the bodies being too expensive and I was talking to a friend about considering the Resinsoul bodies too and she said, "don't do it!!" O.o and so I asked and she said they're bodies are cheap for a reason... and me being new as well was like, ohh... lol I know nothing about other companies. XD

 

WELL.. I know nothing either, since I only have one doll..... When I looked up something online, I saw the face of the doll I'm having now.. I was <------------ and than... like WHAT NEXT???? Then I went to VOLKS site (know nothing)... and luckily, I they got a boy... I snatched that boy; now I got his extra head sitting on its box

I will send that head for face-up and will get a body for him from someone here when I know what kind of face up I really want....

I love my doll very much ... I don't think I would have more... BUT... ordered.... Sheryl Nome........ {Ciel... MUST PRAY HARD for Sebastian Doll from IOS}.. and LAX Convention coming in few months.... MAN... what to do?????

 

LOL! Yes - "Head Buyers Remorse" is definitely a syndrome! No regrets about Osiris though. Absolutely loved him to bits right out of the box!

I just need a body that I can put my Osiris head on without having to wait too much longer! I've been totally spoiled anyway by the Doll Leaves body I got, which is so good. I don't think I'll get that lucky again and Doll Leaves don't do a big enough body or that's what I'd definitely get for him. If you look through DoA for threads and reviews the people who own Resinsoul dolls seems to be pleased with them. I think I'll risk it! It looks like a good match for size and colour.... and things can go just as badly wrong with a cheap purchase and an expensive one....

 

Heya! im curious as to where you can find clothes for the IOS 80cm body as im having a heap of troublle finding anything, i know someone once said TATA but the mostly only have 70cms and im worried they will not fit him, im after a suit, if anyone has any info, id be very greatful! thank you ^^

 

You can get Stacy's Pink Ocean clothes in custom sizes through Alice's Collections. That's the only place I remember someone mentioning for the 80cm.

 

Haha I was just thinking I was going to need 80 cm clothes for my Lacrimosa. XD I'll need to check AC out as well.

 

Hello again everyone~ Coming out of lurking to show my new creeper! X3 I just got a Jaguar head and he's amazing. I put a lot of work into him, making his eyes, wig, and faceup. All I need now are his clothes. @_@

Hmm... so my latest body idea for my Osiris is Shine-doll Gentleman. He looks to be about the right measurements - the neck is a teeny bit bigger, but hopefully not enough to make a difference..... no idea about the resin match except from the colour samples on their site, but oh well.....
Now I'm just hoping they will reply to me....... Body hunting is so hard!

They are a very genuine company, just from their responses and how they take care to keep their customers happy. Especially with how they are willing to give however long you need for a layaway, so far I think they are my favorite bjd company. XD

 

I agree. They seem very helpful and they take a lot of care with packaging and little details like the sturdy CoA (most other companies I've ordered from the CoA is a bit of lightweight card).

 

Yea! The CoA is really beautiful too. I brought my two heads to show my friend Blood and Osiris and she said she's been in this hobby for a long time and for head package she said that the boxes were very professional and beautiful.
