[Adopted] Fairyland RealFee Discussion Part 6

Well that wig looks gorgeous on her. I love her name.

My centaurs (and my daughter's centaurs) all have musical names (This is a reference to the Gaea Trilogy by John Varley).

 

Finally was able to pick the GINORMOUS package up from my PO. Everyone is here, safe and sound, and poor eyeless Eva took over the centaur body.

I think I'm going to replace the wigs too, but that's an "After WonderCon" task...too much crazy right now. I'm just glad it got here today, because now I can take them up to WonderCon with me when I head up tomorrow

Both got eyes and names. For now we're going with Kahlua and Kaitlynn, since I'm still not sure if Luna will be a girl or a boy. Figured I'd go with something neutral.

Congratulations! Those eyes look great! I especially love that super vivid blue. It's nice to see that the Luna faceup looks good on the tan skin. I missed out on the earlier event but I was hoping the fullset would still be available by the time the next event rolled around so I could get the outfit as well.

I can't seem to figure out the default hands though. I think that the both Eva and Coco have the 'boy' hands that have the little thumbs up hand and Luna has the 'girl' hands in their promotional photos but the actual dolls come with the opposite? I wonder if I could request the girl hands...

 

I don't know why they switched them around in the photos, but the sales pages say
RealFee [Eva face + Girl body + Default Hands] So a girl body will come with girl hands. The Eva's posted here have girl hands.
It's weird they photographed them with the wrong hands because that is just confusing.

 

Is Eva’s head really that much bigger than Luna’s it is just the angle the photo was taken at? My Eva will hopefully be here next week and I’m just wondering if she’ll fit in with my other fees.

 

It is quite confusing, isn't it? I had the default hands mixed up for a while because of it.

 

I managed to take my Luna out of box. Here he is and his name is Winfred. Sadly, I wasn't able to pull the string far enough to swap the bodies. So for some time, my Winnie has to be a rider instead of a centaur
Now I wish Fairyland had an option to buy horse head as well.

Yeah, the stringing in the body is horrendously tight. If mine doesn't loosen up quickly, I will be restringing mine.

Winfred is super cute.

 

She was a bit closer to the camera, so it's likely the angle, since she doesn't seem to have a bigger head. I will try to get a picture tomorrow of both the sleep plates when I get back home.

She's pretty "clicky", but not too tight. Slightly unnerving clicking noises when I move the centaur joints, but I was able to attach the upper body pretty easily. Eva came up with me to hang out with Fee in the onsite sign shop at WonderCon this weekend.

My Luna Full Option just shipped!!! I'm so excited and hope he makes it in time for DollConDK! >u<

 

I hope he arrives in time. My Eva has been sat in UK customs since Thursday. I’m waiting for the bill to release her!

Aww noo! I hope the bill arrives soon so you can get her home asap! I'm gonna have to call the customs and ask them to send the bill to my email when my fairyland order arrives in DK so it can be paid immediately, as normal post only gets delivered once a week now and that would make it impossible for my order to arrive in time, if I have to wait for the bill as a letter ^^"

 

Pony butt is here and I...really, really like the sleeping head (OE isn't mine, but sleeping faceplate is and I'm planning to mod it to have open eyes). The ears are so cute and her profile looks a lot like pukifee ante, which I adore. I can't wait to mod her eyes open and paint her (she's actually getting ante-ish eyes, sort of like that shape) Eeeeee!

Just did some testing and it looks quite cool, even though she'd have a pink tail since my griffin/hippogriff is pink. Lana doesn't use that tail part though, so this girl could use it. We'll see ~ I also put the neck piece on the horse butt, looks quite funny actually x)

 

Just received some new dresses for my bunny girls. These were listed as Blythe size and are a tad large. I did find that Kikipop dresses fit very well.

Faceups are by Angel Toast. The boots are by sleeping elf and the dresses are by momojojo2017 (both on Etsy)

 

julia, those dresses are adorable . I did see them on taobao a while ago and wondered whether the Blythe size might be a good fit for the RealFees, so thank you very much for sharing!

In the meantime my Luna Centaur has made it safely home, too. He is so adorable. I'm not sure what to call him though. I do have a tendency to stick with the original name, however Luna sounds too girlish. So I think he will be Leon or Leonardo or something the like.

My Luna is in the customs but I plan on calling him Luan as that's the spelling mistake Fairyland used themselves on the image blog in the post for the sleeping heads and since then I've quite fallen for it :p

Is anyone/has anyone already blushed their centaur? I was hoping I could take the hooves off and do them separately but they seem really tightly strung! I wonder if it's okay to just spray the whole leg?

I think I've finished her mod, but probably will have a better look at it tomorrow in daylight before I move on to giving her a face-up. I have a good feeling about her, I think she'll be pretty cute. Still not sure about her name, but I'll think of something Aaaaahhh I love the centaur body so much

Akara, I really like the way the eye mod turned out! I can't wait until she gets a faceup.

 

So many beautiful Realfee, I feel torn. Can anyone tell me how they compare to Pukifee in terms of posing and portability? Anything else I should know? I'm saving up for a new addition to the family but haven't been able to decide on the size yet (PKF, RLF, LTF, ...). The new addition will be traveling with me daily to work and back and all that so trying to guess what size is more suitable.

There's not too much difference between Pukifee and Realfee size. Fairyland have a comparison here -

All of these Fairyland tinies are very easy to pose! It's a little harder to find a dedicated 'travel bag' for the 10" LittleFees than it is for RealFees or PukiFees, but certainly not impossible.

One thing that may or may not be important to you: If you sew, it's easier to make garments for LittleFees than for the smaller ones. But if you're planning to buy outfits, RealFees fit into many not-BJD outfits -- most 8" (like Madame Alexander) dolls, and lots of the Kish Riley outfits / patterns. It's a little harder, in my experience, to find outfits that fit the Pukifees correctly.

 

There's tons and tons of stuff on Etsy for PukiFees and Lati Yellow. (They are the same size)

I actually think RealFees are a little easier to pose than PukiFees. The only problem with the RealFee body IMO is that I find the hands a little too big. Especially if you have a PukiFee connector and use a PukiFee face-plate on the RealFee body.

I agree with Dustbunnie, Realfees are a bit easier to pose. It's usually my Pukifee who decides in which position her head stays.

 

So glad to see all these beauties ^_^ Let me introduce Jupiter, my Realfee Haru (in the snow) ! For now she only has her stock outfit and the one on the pic. It's hard to find clothes for them (some short Pullip/Blythe dresses fit her though). I also love Mari and Soso, I hope I'll find those heads someday !

 

I have all three and Realfees are the ones I love the most. I bought and sold my Littlefee and eventually bought a tan ante but I don’t do much with her. I have one pukifee, she’s cute but again I don’t do much with her. I love the elves in the Realfee Range. I just think they have more character and I love their size. Pukifee are too small for me. Clothing is getting easier to find for Realfees - depending on your style, but it’s not as easy as the other two dolls. Perhaps it depends on whether you want a more magical creature or a more human creature.

I own both Littlefee and Pukifee so I have an idea how Realfee relate to them size-wise but handling a doll is still different than knowing how they look and their size. Pictures are just pictures so it's nice to hear from other owners. I guess a Realfee might just sneak its way into my life sooner or later.

I'm not really interested in fantasy parts other than perhaps the usual animal ears and tail. I like the rest of the features being as human as possible but the Realfee body just looks so cute when paired with Pukifee faceplates and the latest 'human' realfee plate was quite cute as well.

Ah...if only customs weren't so brutal then one would be on its way already for testing purposes. I look forward to seeing more spam of your little ones in the meanwhile.

Add me to the crowd. I LOVE my Realfees! Switched all my PKF heads to RLF bodies. I think they look more in proportion and RLF bodies are so much easier to pose than PKF or LTFs - IMO. I sold all my PKF bodies, they were just way too fiddly. And they are still small enough to fit in a purse

Yes, you do need the adaptor Donna posted if you're not interested in modding.

I'm holding my breath to find a body with adaptor on the marketplace (EU-located) because custom fees are the death of me. Hope springs eternal and things like that~ :3

 

Interestingly Fairyland are very generous with their customs declarations, so it doesn't come to as much as expected it you buy direct from them.

(Anything that touches Customs still acrues a dodgy randsom "handling" fee in the UK though.)

 

It's always a hit or miss for me. I paid a 'reasonable' customs fee for my Feeple60 but for my Pukifee I had to pay half of what I paid for her on top of it. And not to mention import and handling fees...

But I just can't help throwing a Realfee body into my shopping cart lately...so maybe if temptation gets the better of me...

It's only just over a week until the next event, and a few people have been asking Fairyland about the event colours - pink, violet, and mint - in relation to Realfee, Minifee, and [I've been inquiring about] Parts, so I wonder if we'll see anything this time around, or if it'd be next time.

 

The custom didn’t care about the custom fee declaration in my case. I paid the normal price (I don’t know how they find it).

Fairyland will be close from the 11th April to the 29 so the event (if there is one) will be very late ...

 

Oh? Thats a sudden change today... When someone asked recently for the event date Fairyland said it would start April 20th, so I wonder if that has had to change now.

 

Did they say why they will be closed? :O
