YAY!! I saw your picture on flickr and she looks great! I would totally do a Skype box opening! I also have two heads coming back from AngelToast on Monday so it's going to be a mega dolly day and it's the day before my birthday so it's going to be pretty amazing!

 

Does anyone have a pic comparing PUKIFEE and REALFEE Soso faceplates together? It looks like the eyes are different shapes. Is anything else different? (besides obviously the size)

My proper May faceplate should finally be here today as well, i'm so excited!! She's be united with her body at long last haha~

 

My Pano should be delivered today as well. Tracking says he is estimated to be delivered today, even though he hasn't been scanned in yet. Or tracking is super slow at updating and he's about to go on the truck out for delivery.

Just got my shipping notice from dde today!

 

Just found a Mail from DDE in my Spam Mail (where it has been for 2 days Q~Q) that my May is ready to ship as soon as I payed the last bill (that I will pay early *___* )
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy and exited and WUHUUUUUUUUUUU

 

Looks like no Pano for me today. He's somewhere between Colorado and Dallas, or at the Dallas transfer hub. Hopefully he'll get here tomorrow then!

 

I was at an event this weekend. Got an email from DDE on Sat saying that my tan Pano arrived and wanted to know if I wanted to make the last payment so they could send it out. I said yes. It arrived today! Back from the event now and still winding down. I'll take pictures after I eat.

Here she (technically he) is! This is Ashala. I can't wait to paint her up!

got my may today! no pics yet though. i don't dislike the pupu face as much as I thought I would, but it still seems to have a more... spunky look to it than what I intended. May is very sweet looking too, so I am undecided on who will take the body. I hope to get some painting on the pupu done tomorrow but I have shopping plans and am working at night so I may not get to actually paint her until wednesday. I really like the sparkly eyes the came with!

 

Congrats on all the new arrivals!! It's exciting!! My Soso/Tulip arrived today. I adore the Soso sculpt. The posing is awesome. I don't love the default faceup. They are soooooo heavy handed. She looks yellowy-green, like she ate something that didn't agree with her. :/ I'm debating whether or not to try and mess with it. I paid a hefty sum for the default so I don't want to ruin it, but at the same time I don't want to hate it every time I look at her. Not sure what her final "look" is going to be, but here she is

My May came today! I had all but made up my mind that she would be sold right away cause I was just not loving her like I thought I would, but then she came and I opened her haha! Here is my little Nym, who hated the fullset wig so much she is currently wearing an old PKF size wig! It stays because of her ears, so now I need to find one just like it for her head!

Hello, could anyone tell me what eye size realfee wears, and are acrylic paints ok to paint the white resin parts? Do I have to spray them to like the face with Mr clear? Is their a tutorial for painting parts other than a face up? Thanks

 

[MENTION=40100]Brenay[/MENTION] it's basically the same process as with a face. You use sealant to protect the resin from pigments and permanent stains. You also use sealant to protect your work when done and to give the paints and/or pastels something to hold on to. You should check youtube!

 

Anyone know how much tan skin costs?

UGH soooo cute. I was tempted to get the male body for my girl but they didn't give that option for FS in person, the little bewbs aren't that noticeable though. In fact, I'd forgotten about them 'til I saw your comment

Well that's good at least and I'm sure she will look SOOO much better with a face!!! And at least you have two to choose from

Awww, I've loved Soso since I first saw him/her and thought she looked like my daughter and I've seen some really cute RLF versions but the blank face isn't doing much for me in this size :/ Will have to paint mine and see how I feel. I say modify yours. If she's not making you happy, then add some blushing without sealing, you can always erase it!

Got my May basic yesterday, but I was surprised the faceplate wasn't on the doll, just wrapped in paper, in a plastic baggie. I only got the one faceplate, painted, and it didn't have a protector over it, just wrapped in paper. I'm curious, are they all coming this way?

My Pano didn't come with a plastic faceguard, either. His faceplates were wrapped in paper, the same way.

I don't think there's a FP Protector that would fit over Pano's ears, but May's face would have fit in one.

I got the feeling that Fairyland wanted us to see the attachment mechanism for the new system, so they sent the FPs unattached. It's a good thing I took a look at it, because my Pano's FP fits REALLY tightly, and if I didn't realize there were tabs in the resin, I might have broken something when I was trying on the different faces.

I wish that the Full Option Sets had the option for gender choice. I like the girl's chest and the lack of boy bits on the female human RealFee bodies. The next time FL offers RealFees, I will be picking up a NS Female Body.

 

My basic pano came unpainted and his faceplate came connected, as did my roomie's sent a month earlier, so my guess is it has to do with face up vs no face up.

 

Hmmm... then I don't know. Maybe it is a faceup vs. no-faceup setup.

Or a Basic (which could come blank) versus a Fullset (which only came with the painted faceup)?

 

My basic Soso was the same way.

 

I saw a boxopening Video, the girl got a Fullset May with Faceup. Her heads were wrapped in paper and put in little bags. Because of this, the eyelashes were were bent and almost loose D:

A friend received her May (fullset, with FU) a few days, she told me her May had a face protector, the sleeping FP and event head were wrapped in paper.

 

I hope that Fairyland will produce some Face Guards that will fit Pano. Right now I have a generic plastic protector just bubbled over his head in the box, and I can turn that sideways and it will cover his ears and protect his eyelashes at the same time. I guess if Pano is the only sculpt with the permanent side ears, it might not be worth the production costs to make protectors just for him.

 

;____; So...i'm super sad. My replacement May faceplate for the wrong Pano I was sent a month ago got delivered today (a day later than it should have been too) annnnnd......it doesn't fit.
The Pano faceplate fits perfectly and snaps right in tightly with no issue but the May faceplate just slides right off. It will not stay on naturally no matter what I do. I mean, I can pack it with eye putty to make it stay on, but I shouldn't have to do that.

I'm just curious, has anyone else run into this issue with a May faceplate? Where it will not stay on?

Upon closer inspection next to the Pano faceplate, it looks like the hole that should snap to the little "bump" on the top of the headback is noticeably bigger than Pano's which is probably why it will not stay on at all. Not only that, she has sanding marks on the both sides of her faceplates, and not just along the edges, they go all the way onto her cheeks and a few above her right eye. Again, nothing of the sort on Pano. And then there is also a bizarre sort of little "pock mark" on the right side of her forehead. Its so weird, it looks its a dent in the resin but it isn't, its like a little circle under the surface of the resin. Its very bizarre, but even as strange as it is that is still honestly the least of my concerns as it would probably be covered by a wig. I suppose I should contact DDE again and let them know about all this, but I don't know if they'd even be able to fix it and even if they could get another replacement from FL it would probably take yet another month. But like.... it really makes me wonder, did Fairyland even test the faceplate on a headback or inspect it at all before they sent it out?!
Ack, I hate to be such a sourpuss but i'm just really bummed... I mean, I really adore my May and i'm very happy that she's home but this whole experience has had so many problems... ;____; I just...I don't even. OTL

 

My blythe clothes arrived today.
The vest fits perfect, even the leggins.
Its just the sweater is to tall for pano.
I think i have to sew something for him but in that size?! OMG!

Now i have to research afters some shoes ... since he is a fairybox i thought something brown or so on ... some news about which shoes fit then realfee's?

 

can't address the sanding issues, but the faceplate falling off is a common enough issue among fairyland dolls that it is considered more or less "normal", and not likely something they will fix. usually they include magnets that you can insert to fix the problem or just stick it on with eye putty, or my favorite silicone ear plugs.

 

I honestly can't get enough of this girl! She is a nudest for now, we did order a dress yesterday but who knows if she will wear it. Her balance is amazing and it's so much fun to see what poses she can hold!

 

I got a fullset Pano and a basic May, both with faceups. Both arrived with their faces separate, wrapped in tissue. Since some people have complained that the horrible black flocking inside the FL boxes left smudges on their dolls, I'm pretty sure it was a way to make sure the premium painted faceplates didn't arrive in that condition.

 

Ok, THAT actually makes sense to me. I didn't realize that the flocking had been smudging the faceups... but the tissue does seem to protect them nicely (except for the smooshed eyelashes).

 

Oh, she is such a beauty. Love her coloring and that wig on her!

Not sure if this is allowed here - most threads follow the head, not the body but I put the PKF connector on my NS body and Mya took over!!! She likes the RLF body a LOT more than the PKF one

I love the Pukifee Head on the RLF Human body. I wish We could order an extra torso piece with a set, so that we could squeeze a second whole doll out of the deal (using the adapter).

*sniff* no delivery waiting for me today. Why UPS gotta tease me? The original delivery was scheduled for Wednesday and then Monday night they bumped it up to Tuesday, but nothing :/ *grumbles*

LuckyXIII: I think that's the first tan Pano I've seen, I can't wait to see her with a faceup. Despite loving May on first sight, everything about that little Pano face is growing on me.

Arkelle: That's awful! I am not sure what to suggest you do to try and remedy this other than take pictures and contact FL. they have become notorious for having problems like this and sometimes they fix them, other times they don't. The scratches are what I would stress most about to DDE or FL with for the replacement. Like Auntbear said many, many FL dolls have trouble keeping on their faceplates or headplates in the case of the larger dolls. Sometimes there are minute changes from cast to cast that would cause the faceplate to fit on a doll that they tried it on, but not on yours so that could be the reason but it's just as likely to say that they didn't try it on either :/

Ban: I just love the pukifee faceplate on the body and I'm happy to see that the proportions look a lot better than the FL pictures. I have one of those crazy halloween pkf faceplates that I fell in love with and no pukifee body so I was planning on her sharing this one and now I'm super excited to try it out! Now there will be 3 dolls for this one body May, Soso, and the pkf *facepalm* lets just say if they ever just bring out the bodies I will be in need of a few, I like it so much more than the pkf body and I haven't even had it in my hands yet.

Awwww, sorry you didn't get yours either I hope you get it tomorrow! And yeah, I don't think you need to actually hold a RLF to love their bodies. They are just full of awesomeness!!! Here's a comparison pic I posted earlier on Flickr. The poor PKF looks like she has no neck and her body looks like a stubby rectangle now next to the RLF! I'm hoping they release new ones in the future, just so I can give new bodies to my little ones!

I love the RLF body with the PKF head. I've never been happy with the proportion of the PKF head and body. I have 2 PKF that are going to be wanting he RLF human body!

ooh, seeing the two together i definitely am going to need more bodies and some connectors, a couple of my pukifees would look so much better "grown up" somehow the fairyland pics didn't do justice to the combo, they look so much cuter in your pics ban

course they will also need to come out with more hands so we can have the expressiveness that the pukifees and littlefees have

i wish fairyland would put a rep on doa to listen to all this like luts did.

 

Could someone post a picture of the May fullset wig? I'm trying to decide what I want to do with Briar and I just can't decide on her hair! I like the look of the fullest wig I think and I'm debating waiting to see when any become available later on.

 

Littlefee hands fit perfectly on the RealFee wrist knobs, and they don't "look" any larger than the (oversize, IMO) RealFee hands. Try it & see for yourself!

TuT And thanks for the help! I already sent an email to DDE with pictures letting them know about the problems but i'll definitely take more pictures of the sanding marks if that will help. I did try to explain how detrimental having sanding marks on the face is though. ;__; It really is sooo frustrating. I mean, I wouldn't really mind so much about sanding marks anywhere else on a doll, but having them on the dolls face is the worst place ever because it means that I can't do a faceup on her at all unless its either replaced or they are all buffed and sanded smooth. Pastels will get stuck in and dramatize even tiny little scratches and she has them all along the sides of her face and her cheeks which I had planned to blush quite heavily. OTL
And yeah, i've definitely heard about fit issues before but this....is just...I don't even. The difference in size between the hole on the inside of the faceplates between Pano and May is substantial. And with Fairyland never stating anywhere that Pano and May cannot use the same headbacks its just very frustrating and honestly quite unacceptable that there is so much of a difference between them. I would completely understand if it were a little bit loose as I know there is bound to be variation in casts but it literally will not stay attached whatsoever. If that is normal for them then FL's practice of selling dolls who's face cannot naturally stay on whatsoever being considered "acceptable" is deplorable to say the least. I can accept a lot of things, but receiving a doll that can't even use its own parts properly is not one of them. Here is a picture of the two of them together. I put a slight purple overlay so you can see better just how much bigger May's is compared to Pano. ;____;

wow arkelle, that difference does seem excessive, more than just loose face plates. did you send that picture to dde too?

 

Arkelle: oh goodness, you're right, I don't think that could be because of just normal variation. It even has cut into the space for the other magnet

I will say that my mnf's head cap will not stay on at all without tape or her wig so I know how you feel with a faulty head. It's really frustrating that the product quality has slipped so much. I hope they will replace her for you. I hate to say it but I hope they didn't just send you whatever, like a faulty cast and hope you would be ok with it, because that almost seems like that's what could have been done :/

And yeah...though its really sad to think about to be honest I kind of am feeling the same way at the moment. Especially when I noticed the super bizarre sort of "circle" mark on her forehead which is most definitely a small flaw in the resin as I can literally hold the faceplate up to the light and see through it. There is zero chance that it is just a scuff. I haven't had a ton of FL dolls myself, but I can't remember an instance where someone else spoke of clearly defined resin casting flaws on the surface let alone the FACE of their FL doll. I added a picture of that below too.
;___; I'm really so sad about the whole thing. I mean, its not like I myself, or DDE for that matter, made any sort of error on our parts. Fairyland themselves made a legitimate mistake in initially sending me Pano instead of what I actually ordered; May. It really just speaks terribly for the company if they don't even bother to properly right a wrong that is of no other fault than their own. I really hope this does all get resolved though. I love the rest of my Realfee and Fairyland's dolls in general, and i'd hate for this experience to leave a bad taste in my mouth for FL or for my May...

Either way, i'm happy at least that it looks like no one else seems to have had such difficulties with their Realfees~
