I'm waiting for pictures of Eva to start arriving here - she's definately going to be my next purchase (unless Fairyland comes up with something even more lovely before I get to order...).

My Sircca arrived home from her face up recently! I haven't had hardly any time to take pictures of my girls, but I took the time while it was raining last week. I hope I can get some during golden hour sometime soon!
She also is wearing her new outfit from Taobao. I need to make some adjustments to the bra but I think it will work really well!

Not sure if many of you are fans of LIGHTS, but I AM! So I decided to let Alyssa cosplay LIGHTS' OC, Enaia Jin! The deciding factor of Alyssa over my other girls is because she can wear Kenji's 14mm gray eyes (which is close to what Enaia has)! Plus Alyssa inherited Katarina's body now and has the same tattoo as LIGHTS.

Still working on her knee covers, socks and shoes, but there's so many other outfits I want to make for her!!

 

Love seeing pictures of everyone’s dolls. On a related note, I had some issues with Yahoo/Flickr wanting my telephone number and after dodging it for so long, they finally made it impossible for me to dodge it any longer, so I deleted Flickr/Yahoo. I cannot stand when companies do this. I only ever made a Yahoo email because they would not allow Flickr login with Gmail anymore.

Is anyone using something different and reliable? I tried using Google Photos, but they don’t make it easy to get a link that’ll work to embed on forums like this.

This whole Photobucket fiasco has really done a number on many of us who used it to host our pictures to share here. >.> Now I have to hunt down my broken image links again.

As a side note: does anyone have any tips on keeping feet on the ankle (apart from using socks?) I spent like 1 hour trying to pry a foot out of a boot since it detached from the ankle. Putty? Stronger magnets?

 

dollsoflace I use postimage It's a little slow to load when you go to the site to look for one of your images or upload new ones but is quite easy to use. I always pick up the direct link, then click on the image thingy abow the post and copy the link there. I actually find it easier to get an overview of my pictures there.

Hey guys, this question has probably been answered before, but how much alpaca fiber do you use for one minifee head (in oz/g)? I'm thinking of buying fibers with a length of 12 inches and cut it in half.

I 've met problem with Flickr and my account was deleted too. Have you ever tried the Website Jimdo to put photos ? It's easy to use and you can put a lot of pictures.

 

1 oz of fiber should cover a MNF wig.

She actually strikes me as a quite unique Chloe. She looks kind of sad and most Chloes don't. I think Chloes have so many possibilities depending on the face-up. She's really cute though. I like her colouring.

I had been thinking that I would split up Coco and Mimi (Chloe and NF14) into two separate sister groups—Coco with Sircca (Cece) and Mimi with Alicia (Lola), but looking over their old pics when I first got them, I just can’t do it. They’re always going to be my nonidentical twin sisters. Cece will be their older sister, and when Lola gets here I will fit her in.

I had switched Coco and Mimi to A Line bodies, with my 2 FLAMs taking their M Line bodies, but I’m going to switch that back.

Coco and Mimi in autumn 2015, shortly after I had received Coco. They’re currently at AngelToast getting new faceups. I miss my girls.

Hi everyone! I don't post here too often (usually lurking on instagram) but at the recommendation of @albeli I'll join the thread with my Sircca! She has quickly wormed her way into being one of my "forever" dolls, the ones that I could absolutely never sell. She goes by Nadia. She was supposed to have black hair but the blonde grew on me so fast.

I got my extra wigs out yesterday to look at. I’m wondering if any will work on my Sircca, Cece. My DDE layaway is over at the end of the month, and I also bought a sleeping head second hand that I’m hoping will get here soon—traveling from Switzerland to Texas!

 

Okay, I figured I'd ask here. Does anyone know if the current Fairyland NS matches current Luts NS at all? I don't think I'd need 100% match, as I do heavy blushing, but I'm trying to see if FL/Luts hybrid would be possible.

 

Okay, I need help!! I have a-line and m-line bodies here, and I need to switch their chest parts. The magnetic ankles were bad enough to take apart, but how in the world am I supposed to get the neck part removed? The manual shows the ball inside the neck going up, but it gets stuck and I'm afraid I'll break something if I try to pull any harder. I couldn't find a tutorial even though I thought that there would be one.

I feel so stupid, I've taken apart both my girls before and there were no problems as far as I remember...

This is my Minifee Shiwoo, Amos. I recently switched him from 14mm to 12mm Mako eyes and think the 12s are perfect. And my Lishe, Kestrel, sporting some serious bed head.

 

If I remember correctly you simply need to pull the whole neck piece out of the body, slide the ball down and release the elastic from the s hook!~

 

Probably doesn’t help much, but I know 2013 wasn’t a very close match (my Celine has bird legs from Luts)

 

The problem was that the ball was stuck so I wasn't able to get the neck connector out. I ended up pulling the part of the string with no knot through the ball (that was inside the neck), then using forceps to loosen the s-hook to get the string removed from the connector and finally pulling the string out from the chest hole instead of the neck hole. I got the ball out when the string was out and the ball could turn sideways. Apparently the ball part was too large... The moe body's connector was easy to remove, no problems with the ball part at all.

Andddddd the end result of me taking apart these two was that moe D bust does not work with renewal active line waist part! Apparently this hybrid was possible with the old a-line but not anymore. There was no info about this anywhere so I'm quite devastated as I now have a doll that can't be put together...

 

Could someone who has a Karsh head and plenty of different eyes check what the largest size is that will fit in the head? The character I'm shelling with my Karsh (on order, so I can't check myself) has no sclera, and I'm not sure the eyes I want to get for him can be made without one.

 

This is a shame! Oh well, the hunt shall continue! ^^;;

 

They've never matched - even when Luts was selling the CP dolls, they were cast by their respective creators, so older CP dolls will match the more current ones (give or take Beauty Green and yellowing) but not their Luts counterparts unfortunately.

 

It's quite disappointing, but I have found another body I am interested in now (Dollzone) and hopefully I can finalize some of the details of this hybrid so I can start planning on making it happen.

 

Possibly, but then it's symptomatic of the relationship that Luts and CP had in the beginning. Luts only ever sold the dolls for CP, they never made them. Therefore, the resin used by CP and the resin used by Luts once they started making their own dolls, wasn't the same, because the dolls weren't produced by the same company. (and if you're wondering, I think that CP sold/gave the Delf bodies to Luts once they had "disentangled" and Luts lost the rights to sell the dolls - so same bodies, completely different resin).

 

That makes sense. I vaguely remembered a Luts doll from a get together some years ago and it didn’t seem like the right color in my memory, but I had never been too clear on the relationship between Luts and CP.

I think my confusion only increased when I saw a few Shushu tagged as a Luts doll. I thought: “Oh, so CP just went off to do their own thing” and didn’t read/research about it further. So, you’ve definitely enlightened me on the history and for that I thank you. You’ve untangled a lot of confusion!

 

Someone here used to have a MNF head on a DollZone normal yellow body. It worked really well. Personally I don't like DZ's newer bodies so much. It's a pity because I have a Ruth head I want a taller body for. Sigh!

She definitely does! I think more than any of my other minifee. I love her for it though! I changed a lot of my dolls this year after being away from the hobby for awhile, but she didn't get changed at all. She wouldn't have let me modify anything about her, lol.

 

I'm a huge CP fangirl, and I'm on a mission to collect all of the Soos. That includes Minifee Soos, get your crap together, Fairyland, I want to buy a Minifee Soo! Here is a pic of my Tanning Minifee Soo from ye olde days of Luts. She's on layaway right now. I can't wait to get her!

 

Congrats on getting her! Minifee Soo is on my list too! I actually had one briefly and USPS lost her on her way to her faceup so I definitely need to get my hands on a new one! I wish Fairyland would release her again! Your new girl is beautiful! I can't wait to see what you do with her!

Oh — is it time to bring out our sassy/attitude ones? This is my modded MNF Spring 2017 event head from my Sircca order, named Brigitte. She's become quite easily one of my favorites. I always knew this event head was going to be bomb because of her eyes; I just had to change some parts to truly bring out the vision I had to life.

Yes! I love the sass and tude and Mirwen's definitely fit the bill! Mine doesn't even have a faceup and she looks super feisty all the time! Moira is awesome!

I love her! She looks incredible! I love the Spring 17 sculpt so much. My girl is off with AngelToast right now but isn't going to be nearly as wonderfully dramatic as your girl! Mine is meant to be very gloomy and sad.

@malvinas I love that dress! It was part of my newbie gift exchange a few years ago, and it only fits that one yellowed body. I need to get a new a line w/ small bust just to keep using the dress. Also, Celeste/Rendia usually looks even more POed. Especially compared to my sweet looking Sylvie/Mirwen.

So I actually just asked Fairyland about when the minifee Soo sculpt might be available again and the response is actually very disheartening. Kinda seems like they decided there wasn't enough demand in their eyes. Here is what they said:

Choice of sculpts that gets added on or removed depends on the status of each master sculpts AND/OR popularity of the sculpt. Your interest for Soo has been translated and passed onto our management team for possible consideration in future.

I think Shiwoo is popular enough that that is one sculpt they may actually release again if enough people ask. I never see anyone talk about Soo, even rarer Ari, so it's very doubtful for those two. Then again FL seems to only want to do girls now since the boys don't sell as well (according to them). blargh.

 

@Dustbunnie Oh wow yeah I'm actually surprised Shiwoo hasn't come back yet (but the Minifee El sculpt has. That I don't get.) I remember when Minifee Shiwoo was first released and was hugely popular. I don't feel like the Minifee version of El was ever as popular as its larger counterpart but they already brought the El version back.
