and it is lovely that donny offers this service

the wigs are cute one the turtle, don't know what size head he has, but I know mine will want a lot of hats....it is nice you can remove the front and back..so you can dress him or her and then put back on the shield...some stretchy outfits will be cute...not sure what he will like so I won't be buying anything for him until he is home...my dolls always decide to be different then what I have in mind...so I just wait

 

the order period was too short for me. i couldn't come up with the funds that quick this time. maybe if donny offers him again later?

 

Wow, he's got a lot of little fellows back in stock again! I'm glad to see. Wish he'd re-release Toopee.
I still can't make up my mind about Tanya. If she was double-jointed I'd own her already!
But I'm definitely glad to see second chances for Haru and Aka. I love their tiny double-jointed bodies!!! But I don't see a re-release for the girl counterpart.

 

Judging by the way the Kura information was worded, I believe there will be more releases in the future. It was a tight release date. I am also intrigued by the website where it shows that you can still order some dolls despite messages saying "Limited edition release for the month of June".. I hope they will stay available!

 

On Flickr Donny says: Get special exclusive gifts during the flash sale period and on FB or Flickr or FabricFriendDolls I read that this was a limited KURA in THIS SIZE ... so maybe he'll do another size? I cannot find that post ... so maybe he changed his thinking on that. Guess we'll find out later! But he's got lots more FUN SURPRISES COMING!!!

ok so it is same size as ccc fidelia's head...and as pukipuki.....so I do have plenty of hats for him.. and weedollywears makes very pretty soft wigs...but mine won't be a girl so hats/helms/glasses etc ok

I totally agree with Auntbear they are amazing little creatures! I am slowly but surely saving up for another one (although by the time I do he'll probably have a whole new line of dolls) but I'm excited I also think I am in love with the little turtle! But of course they're sold out. I do hope he stuck to being anatomically correct in that the shell cannot come off.

And to be off topic for a minute i'm kind of excited for the new update to happen and to take plenty of photos this weekend!

 

Uhhhh so sad about missing out on Kura! I need to find a better way to keep up with BJD news.

I asked on his FB and he said he'll be releasing Kura next in a different color. I am disappointed because I love the green!

 

I've had this girl forever, but not wanted to take pictures of her until recently. So I really wanted to share my favorite Uhh now the urge to get more faeries is growing!

My DHS crew is growing and Yeeeee I managed to get Kura and am so happy with it. I shall never be able to make such beautiful pictures as his...........because wow did you see how pose-able the guy is .........( sorry when pose-able do not exist........know no other word)
Can I discuss with you a strange matter ?
Months ago Donny show us a drawing of a four legged Fairy insect, he told me he will not make it four legged but humanoid. I like the slender head and body ...it is definitely his special skill to make fragile though strong. Now I saw a raw sculpted doll from Nympheas dolls .........in Flickr ( I commented there ) her name is K6 Dolls...................this is no coincidence ...............Found out she and Donny already discussed about it...............I am still suspicious ......what do you think ?

 

I think people are far too quick to accuse people of copying. I haven't seen Donny's picture but she is obviously doing her own work and it doesn't look like Donny's dolls to me.

Oh I don't think she really looks like donny's drawing....they both can be family of pollen....and by family I don't mean that they are a copy...this Brindille reminds me about a sort of dragonfly and donny's drawing is more a elf eared ant?.....and being inspired by other dolls is not bad...there is enough difference between them to have a right to live...love all three that I mentioned!!

but it is ok muja that you are worried...with all the people making copy dolls it is good to keep your eyes open and talk about it!

Is anyone getting a doll reborn in Donny's newest resin formula? I'm thinking about it for Richi.

 

Yes I was worried for Donny, he is working very hard to make the wonderful dolls and it would be such a bummer if somebody else run away with his ideas. It happens pretty often lately.Not only have the artist to deal with re-cast dolls also with stolen ideas.

I hope to get a new little Rhino, mine is completely scattered and he will redo some dolls with the newest resin. But I don't know which ones Richila. Is Richi damaged ? poor little thing !!

 

I adore this photo! It makes me feel like if I looked up in a tree there might be a cute little fairy creature there hiding. I think I need to look up more when walking through trees

The doll hospital section has a slot for dolls to be reborn in the new resin.
Richi's left knee has been damaged for over a year, but since my left knee doesn't work I thought it was cute. I'm getting knee replacement next summer, so I think Richi should have a new knee also. But, she is my favorite and I want her as sturdy as possible because she goes everywhere with me.

Oh thank you - I sometimes feel hes a bit boring for this thread as he is so 'normal' compared to the wonderful fantasy and anthro dolls here.

 

ah yes most of donny's are fantasy creatures, but perhaps he will make more normal dolls in future, love the picture on your flickr with the other two tiny's in his size, they are all three very different but all great
