I have four of Donnys dolls, but only because he was kind enough to make a replacement rhino for me! My little rhino had one had a bad leg, so he sent a new leg and a pink sister ♡
I think I need to send him am email. .. I would love a custom glowing fairy

 

That's how I got a double jointed Snow. They've been sold out for a long time, but I discovered DH dolls a few months ago now. I bought an male Aka secondhand and love it so much I emailed basically the same - asking if he planned on ever releasing them again because I needed a female so badly. He replied that he could make me one and asked which color I wanted! I couldn't believe it.

 

I know and it makes me so happy that they do fit so well in the woods (at least where I love to take photos ).

OMG I am totally in love!! Looks like I need to start saving up for a lot of his dolls! And I am with everyone on the fact that he is amazing and i do hope he realizes how many people appreciate his brilliant work

Also for everyone, I was looking through the available dolls and I noticed that I haven't seen any owner photos of Odile or Odilia and I was curious if anyone here had them?

There are times when I really want to learn my camera, but mostly I sit around wishing it was a skill I'd been born with. I'm yet to come up with a mental system for remembering f-stops and which numbers go up and which ones go down and how they all affect each other.

 

It's strange. I think a lot of companies believe that providing such care will cost them money, when it's the opposite. Doll lovers will spend money to make their dolls whole again, and the business gains the holy grail of the free market: customer loyalty. I know there is potential for exploitation by the unethical, but with a small amount of checks in place, I bet companies could limit that to less than 1%.

The way I like to remember f is that the lower the number (2.2 for example) means that the shot is wide open and therefore will have a very blurry background. You can see it as the lower the number the less in the background and the higher the number (14) the more in focus your background will be. I shoot a Sony A77 in all manual and absolutely love it

Hmm not sure they would be able to manage sign language but I'll try and take a few photos of him trying too. Might not be today though as I'm going to a mini meet (taking Ume of course )

 

no rush, the way our dollar is i can't afford to get him right away anyway, but i do want to get one eventually. hope donny doesn't discontinue this one!

Woah ! I cant get it into my head just how tiny some of theses guys are ! Cute shot !

 

He's so beautiful. If Donny issues him in dark tan I think I'm sunk, but I need to pay off the layaway on my first DHS doll before I start making any more finance destroying plans.

i have one doll ive been saving up for almost a year now, a soon as a manage to get her i may do just that!

 

@auntbear I only know a little Makaton which is an easy form of BSL used for small children and people with Special Needs - I dont know any ASL sooo I ducked out and got Ume to count ( very lazy of me - sorry )

that is such a cute series. i like how you changed the angle and pose for each shot. was it hard to get him to hold the finger positions?

 

NoNot at all but I find his left hand easier than the right. It's just the thumb on the right sticks out more, not sure if its just him or is like that with all of them.

Thank you auntbear I must admit I bought him on a bit of a whim and kind of lost interest then decided to send him off for a face up. But when he came home I just fell for him big time. I find him just so endearing and I'm having fun choosing outfits to buy for him too.

Have you seen Donny's newest MOST ADORABLE TURTLE COMING SOON TO HIS SHOP NEAR YOU?!!!!!!!! He did a spectacular

Auntbear ... the Mushroom Peddler on Etsy has a turtle and other adorable dolls, but I like the smooth look better for this guy.

 

I actually have that turtle as well, the one by Mushroom Peddler. The sizes are very different, I love that this little guys is so tiny. And posing just blows my mind! If I am lucky to get my hands on him, I'll make his character that other turtle's baby boy

 

ill have to go see the other one now. i'm not surprised that someone else had already done one, but donny's is still the first i'd seen he is really tempting even though i dont collect anthro dolls

i'll probably dither the whole three days and then end up not. i have another le that i want to get this month instead...though the turtle is tempting because he would take up far less room!

 

The turtle would certainly take less room! And he wouldn't want clothes or shoes or wigs! But he might want a pond!

yes orderd the tiny turtle...he can wear q-baby clothings...but perhaps he will be a tiny ninja turtle....so I will wait with clohtings until he is home, and know what he likes

I love that donny has such great customer service! Has anyone looked into the new resin that his page mentions? I'm not sure what the fee would be, but you can have your dolls recast in the new special resin formula
