I recently got a Doll Chateau Oort and I sent her away for faceup and her wig is done as well. So here is my girl Lunaneska.

speaking of hubery tho, does anyone have one they'd be willing to pop in some different size eyes for comparison for me?
his defaults are 14mm i think, but i'd like to see him with 12mms too before i shop around.

im probably going to be snagging his head in tan before he goes... he was on my wishlist in normal yellow, but i want an ant head too, and the NY resin i have from DZ is pretty dark, so i think the tan will look really good. ^^

 

@mangameow thank you so much! Her faceup is by Hortus Conclusus here on DOA and the wig by Helelena here too. I love their discontinued sculpts and I would love to get Hubery too if I could afford him an not wait so long for him. I would really love to see him in tan skin.

yeah, i miss their old style, it had this weird, alien, flatness to it that i don't think their newer sculpts really have. like the new ones are more detailed, but i liked the simplicity they had before. not to say their new dolls aren't gorgeous though.

i just put in my order for the tan hubery head with alice's collections though! i'm waiting on my first invoice, since i'm putting him on layaway. ^^ i have a name in mind for him, and i designed him a faceup, but idk if it's the one i'm going to stick with.
there aren't a ton of hubery owner pics that i've seen, i wonder if i'll be the only one who has him in tan..? 0_0;

 

Hey everyone~ I was wondering if anyone has pictures of Snow Nymph? I ordered her about 3 months ago and have to wait 3 more months still before I get her but I'd love to see what others have done with theirs!

Haha, maybe! I know that at least one other person in this thread has her! She seems to be the type of doll that gets sold on pretty quickly, which has me sad... Mine is here to stay though!

I haven't had luck with girl shoes for her, so I've been buying her SD17 boy shoes. Those seem to work for her as she's got 8.2cm long feet at least. Though I have heard that Dollmore Model girl shoes fit these feet. I haven't tested it personally yet, but I've been eyeing a few shoes from there to try on her!

 

I was finally able to purchase the Doll Chateau Stacy. She has not yet arrived. She is nude and bald. Where could I find a good wig for this doll and of this size of head (19.6cm)? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend for that head size a 7-8 wig, with some stretch. Do you have a specific style you're looking for? Monique Gold Label wigs are always gorgeous, though they do tend to get flyaways a lot.

 

Has anyone else jumped on the Hubery discontinuation? I've popped one on order and qualified for one of the event Ants too (I've chosen Ela with the snaggle tooth). I've wanted a Hubery for a long time, so it was now or never and since I waited so long I had a wider choice of resin colours.

I'm currently looking into a Doll Chateau Christina and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what wig size I would have to get for her? I also was trying to figure out eyes as well and I think I prefer the look of bigger irises that take up a little more space. I have a picture for reference of like the size I prefer but I have no idea how many mm they are. I was thinking maybe 16 or 18? Idk. Any thoughts?

Well DC state her head circumference is 19.6cm on their website, which works out to approx. 7.7", so you'd be looking at a 7-8 inch wig. I've bought 16mm eyes for my DC Evangeline who's on the way to me - not sure how they will look proportionately yet..

Christina is gorgeous - I hope you do decide to get her .

 

She is and the Evangeline sculpt is gorgeous too. I looked at her as well. Both very beautiful. I'm 99.9% sure that Christina head will be the first piece to my very first doll which is why I'm all excited and planning out the eyes and wig and everything. Thank you for your help!

I was considering Oscar eyes for my Lillian when she is here. I still have like... four months to go, but I want her to be complete when she does come.

 

According to Doll Chateau's listing, Christina's fullset comes with 14mm eyes, and DC youth heads do tend to be a bit smaller than many 1/3 heads, so I think you might not want to go much bigger than 16mm, or they might not fit in her head.

 

I've learned that Doll Chateau and Dollzone both list eyes as bigger than looks good. My Snow Nymph is recommended to have 16mm eyes, but they look alien in her. Mine easily wears 14mm eyes.

In the picture she's still wearing her summer outfit, I've already switched her to her fall one.

 

Does anyone know why the Y-Body-06 supposedly doesn't fit the Christina head? It's my favorite body sculpt!

 

Might be the neck circumference. I know the Y-03 through 05 have a 7cm neck about, and the Y-06 is 7.5cm. So it might just be the neck hole is too small?

 

I saw a Christina head on the Y-06 body up for sale in the marketplace the other day, (although I don't know if there was any modding done at all to widen the neck hole) so it definitely is possible to do. And I thought the proportions looked very nice too. I'm definitely considering getting Christina on this body at some point

I don't know who said that the head wouldn't fit, but Doll Chateau does sometimes say things won't fit other bodies even though they actually will; I emailed them to ask if the jointed kid hands would fit the old K-01 body, and was told that they wouldn't, and yet I later saw owner photos of that exact body with those hands on it.
I wonder if DC just thinks things don't look quite right or as they envisioned, and so consider that as 'not fitting'.

Does anyone here know the approx. foot measurements of the youth dolls (the default feet)? The 04 body specifically - I'm not sure if they're all the same or similar...foot-wise. There's a pair of shoes I want to buy online, but can't seem to find the measurements for my Evangeline anywhere .

Hi! Just spamming my girl, Noor. She's a Doll Chateau Margarita and I recently got her back from one of my favorite faceup artists.

 

just wondering if anyone could give me any insight on whether or not 16mm eyes would be too large to fit or not? I prefer the look of larger eyes (larger irises and pupils). I wasn't sure if I should just be safe though and go with 14mm eyes? Anyone have a youth sculpt with 16mm eyes?

 

I don't know personally but I would think 16mm are too big probably 12 mm or 14mm max

 

The 12mm have the most realistic fit, so go with the 14 ones.

I have a Youth girl (Snow Nymph), and by default she came with 16mm eyes. They did fit, but it was an odd fit. I put 14mm eyes in her instead.

Can someone tell me where the heck I can find clothing to fit my D.C.? I have a D.C. Christina on a Y-Body-06 and I've seen some clothes for the K sculpt on Etsy but not a whole lot for the Y. If there's any sites or shops on Etsy that anyone has gotten clothes for for their youth doll, can you please share this with me? Also, has anyone successfully paired any jointed hands on one? I'd be curious as to know if there are any jointed hands out their that would fit my girl.

 

I am so excited! Only ~6-7 months and I’ll have my girl’s body! I ordered a y-06 and a Zenobia head for two separate dolls, as well as their event Clemans. Would my hybrid (Zaoll+y-06) be allowed in this thread?

 

I honestly don't see why not. I was on a DZ thread earlier and someone was showing me some pics of body swaps on a DZ head with various bodies from a bunch of different companies and it hasn't been removed.
