You should! Ever since my girl came back from getting a faceup I've been sort of eyeing the nanuri06s in the marketplace. I've held off because I don't really have the space for too many more dolls, but. I totally support your nanuri06 army aspirations!!

 

I'm always tempted to "stock up" on sculpts I really like! I have to talk myself out of it. "Do you NEED to buy 2 Chiwoos, self?" "No..." "Do you need ANY Chiwoos, self"? "No...but I WANT them!"

 

My NaNuRi '06 is very well loved. I didn't get him (mine is a him, anyway) in the original event, so I'm one of the few who actually hunted one down to buy! Perhaps I'll take a picture or two of him when the light comes back tomorrow.

In the mean time, let's have some more 2006 Love with my Juri twins!

 

My Sparrow is still around, too... adding 110% more goofiness to the crew.

 

I see absolutely nothing wrong with getting multiples of the same sculpt! I have 9 Shiwoo, and 2 DES, all of them different, but it wouldn't matter if they were all the same, I'd still love each and every one of them!

Question- do nine9style jeans fit? Sorry if this has been answered before... I'm looking to get my dolls some nicer jeans than they've been wearing.

 

I've got a few Delf heads right now that don't have bodies because I either never got them one or got fed up with ones they had, and now I'd like some kind of a change. I was wondering if anyone has an El or Moon on any different bodies maybe something a little taller. I'm not looking for F-doll or B&G style though as I've had those before and did'nt like them. Thanks!!!

 

I have my Moon on a Fairyland F70 body. The resin match is perfect and the body is gorgeous.

F65 bodies would probably work, too, depending on the resin color. White skin might not match so well (my Moon is too yellowed to match a new WS F65 body, but normal skintone might work without being too off.

Edit: Here is an old (seriously flashed-out) shot of Lore on the F70 body. Kind of NSFW (I find it kind of funny, personally. XD)

Posing is amazing. My only issue with it is the hands are too small for those long arms. They're still Delf-sized hands. I wish Fairyland had sculpted larger hands for it. But I'm sure there are companies who might make proper-sized hands for this body.

 

Thanks @Stormlight I have considered the Feeple70 body though it's hard to find! I had a Feeple65 muscular body for a while and it didn't really look great when I tried Moon or El on it, it was ok, but the neck bothered me since it was off and I didn't really want to sand resin. I'm not sure if the non muscular one would be better? I love your Lore he's so adorable! In any case I'd love to see some different companies with CP/FL resin like Ringdoll or Popodoll or something along those lines.

 

Stormlight, I met someone at a con a few years ago that had a F70 body, and they told me that they pose excellently just like the F60, but that they can't stand due to the legs being the only things that were actually elongated.

Do you find that you have problems with Lore standing?

Yeah, I have to add Lore stands great on his own (especially when he's in tight pants). Perhaps that person had the F70 strung too loosely? I've never had problems trying to get Lore to stand on the F70 body.

Now his old DELF body, on the other hand...

 

Oh, that's good to know, TPR and Stormlight! I was always curious about that. (Now that you mention it,) I seem to remember thinking that he was strung loose, but I like my Crew strung REALLY tight, so I thought it was just me.

I remember having to deal with "dancer's leg" with my very first Delf, but through research and trial and error, I found that if my make the hot glue sueding really pointy, it seemed to help with it.

Reminds me, I should work on a few of my Crew, they're seeming a bit loose and kicky now that I think about it.

I recently got a really amazing El that I've loved for a long time by the talented Hearts_Murmur. I had
wanted an El forever with her lovely arched brows. I had owned one painted by her briefly that had a different style
brow and he (now a she again lol) was lovely, but never was quite what I wanted, but now I was lucky enough to get
to buy one that is the one I always admired I will take proper pics soon, but I've been really busy the last couple of days, so hear is a cell pic (gotta get a wig like I imagine and figure out a name for sure since he's unexpected!)

Lucky you, Ravenwolf! I've always wanted an El, but instead, I live vicariously through my BFF's boy, Kitsune.

I finally got around to sueding and re-stringing Manfred, my Shine, and oh man, I forgot how much of a difference it makes! I'm probably going to end up re-stringing Ryuma's (Dreaming Shiwoo) arms next. Somehow I cut his stringing too short the last time and now he has T-rex arms, either all the way extended or he pulls them close to his body. Looks like I'm going to end up getting more stringing for everyone, just in case.

I am soon joining the CP Delf family, I have a Delf Miyu on layaway and I couldn't be more excited to pay her off ^_^ I hope to majorly spoil her. I gather Delf girls fit SD13 clothes pretty perfectly? What size shoes do they wear?

 

They do fit SD13. They can wear SD13 shoes, but they have small feet, so I stuff paper in the toes of some of the shoes I have.

Yep! And even though they don't have specific high-heeled feet, they can wear a lot of high-heeled shoes... About the only ones that won't work are the very high styles with a steep angle between the toe and heel. Those just don't fit the shape of the Delf foot very well.

 

Really?! That's amazing. I can't wait to spoil my girl with heels and sneakers galore!

 

Doll shoes are great fun. I don't have enough closet space to horde heels myself, so I buy them for Gaia (My Elf Lishe-) instead. Hers take up a lot less room.

Just watch out for the toe-to-heel angle, though. Like I said, most heels work pretty well, but the really steep ones just don't match the curve of the foot. I've been curious about trying specific high-heeled feet from other companies on Gaia... Even if the resin match isn't perfect, they'd be great for things like heeled boots where the foot doesn't show... But so far I haven't taken the plunge and ordered any yet.

 

So shorter heels work best?

 

Anything in the short to medium range should be fine.

 

Regarding shoes, most of my Delf girls wear Dollheart. (And, yes, always with heels, and, yes, they stand in them quite well...)

On a completely different note...

... I decided to take a photo of my modded Dreaming El, Pagan today. (That I thought came out well enough to share...)

 

Well, there are generally two different kinds of heels, though. There are the kind made for flat feet, without the steep arch, and the kind meant specifically for heeled feet, which are generally the tall ones with a steep arch. I could never get my Delf girls to stand in the heeled feet kind, because the arch is too steep and theirs don't fit correctly against it. Their legs are too unstable to handle it. And also, unless they're wearing closed shoes, they'd look ridiculous because of the obvious gaps between the shoe and the soles of the feet.

They've always been able to wear the heels meant for flat feet, though. As long as the inside of the shoe is relatively flat to provide support, they can wear them fine.

And on another note, all these dolls are pretty! Love Pagan's outfit.

 

Good point... I tend to stick to closed styles and boots, so the curve of the arch isn't as much of an issue appearance-wise. I don't have many pairs here that are both open and higher-heeled.

 

Sorry for all the questions, I research and research but it seems like all the good solid info on Delfs are hidden! What is the perfect size for Miyu? I've seen 9-10, 8-9 and even 7-8 wigs mentioned on Miyus! Specifically in Monique brand, since I want to get the Monique "Jade" for Yara (my upcoming Miyu)

Talithax, your El is gorgeous! I love big brows on dolls, it's a MUST for me, and your El has perfect brows!

 

I wish I could help you out, but I don't have a Miyu, and Delf heads tend to vary in size. Like, my Dark Elf Soos, Shiwoo, and Chiwoo elf have huge noggins, whereas in comparison, my Moon and elf Lishe are relatively small. Still, even with Monique and Jpop wigs (which have extra-stretchy caps) I've never been able to fit a 7/8 on my Moon or Lishe. I suppose they COULD fit, but it'd be a really tight stretch and you'd need something with grip to hold them on, like velcro or a silicon cap, else they'd probably pop right off again. All of my Delfs take a size 8/9 comfortably, though.

Luts does sell 9/10 wigs, which I'm assuming were designed to fit the original larger-headed Delfs like Soos, Shiwoo, Chiwoo, ect... They might be a tad big on any smaller-headed Delf. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what the difference is between their 8/9 and 9/10 wigs. I'm pretty sure it used to be all of their SD wigs were just labeled 8/9 in the past. At some point they changed it, but can't remember if it was before or after CP split from Luts.

 

I agree that closed shoes, especially when going for the heeled variety, are definitely for the best. I do, however, have a number of Dollheart boots that are from their section for heeled feet that fit them fine and they're able to stand in them. (If you're curious, in the 'New Delf' thread I have a photo of dolls wearing heels for heeled feet, heels for flat feet, and even MSD heels...)

I also have these (Welcome to LUTS - Ball Jointed Dolls (BJD) company) from Luts - although they're listed for Senior Delfs, they actually came as part of Clary's fullset! (These, too - Welcome to LUTS - Ball Jointed Dolls (BJD) company They fit fine, and let them stand as well...)

@Stormlight - Pagan's outfit is actually a dress from MondeWould on Etsy.

@Nebula - His face-up is by Angel Dust (and he was marketplace purchase that I just couldn't pass up!)

Both of my Miyus (I have a Type 1 and a Type 2-) are wearing Monique 8-9 wigs at the moment. With other brands, it really depends on how stretchy the wig cap is. With a stretchy cap like the Monique wigs have, 8-9s seem to work best. With less stretch, I tend to go for 9-9.5. I don't have many 10s over here to try, but I suspect you'd have to have some kind of wig-stopper to keep one that size from falling off. It would likely be pretty loose. Miyus aren't as melon-headed as some of the CP sculpts.

 

Oh, perfect! I ended up ordering it in 8-9, hoping it would fit.

Ravenwolf, your boy is so gorgeous! You guys are major enablers I am not one to plan my dolls anymore, everytime I set a plan in place for who to buy I stray from it, so with you guys posting gorgeous Els and Lishes and DES makes me want to become a Delf freak

 

I have a Miyu. A Luts 9-10 wig fits but is loose on her. I use a silicone cap to keep it on. It doesn't look too big, it just slides a bit. A Leekeworld 8-9 is way too big for Miyu. The 8-9 wig I got from Leeke stretches over my AES's huge head. I also have a bunch of Leeke 9-10 wigs, and those absolutely won't work for Miyu. I don't know about Monique wigs, but 8-9 will probably fit.

My girls have no problem with heeled shoes as long as they're not the ones that are super duper high for the heel legs with the Barbie doll style feet. I have Leeke heels that work beautifully on my Miyu. I also have some lower heeled Dollheart shoes that are wonderful.
And Delf owners LIVE for the chance to be enablers... xD

Sneakers are cute too! My Miyu has red Converse style sneakers.

 

I just 'accidentally' bought a Juri 2005 head with a default faceup She was/is my grail, it's so so exciting to be bringing her home! I was $70 away from paying my Miyu off, so now I have re-save a bit
