[Adopted] CP Delf Discussion Part 9

Jan 6, 2015

    1. If you guys could help me I'd really appreciate it, I'm losing my mind trying to find clothes for my elf Chiwoo boy! :pout:
What shops sell pants that fit them nicely? Also where is a good place to get girly clothes that fit the type 2 boys?
I figure if I can at least get him one pair of pants, I can continue to try to sew him a cute sweater.

Also! If anyone knows of some good delf boy patterns, please share them with me!

      Thank you sooooo much! :chibi:cake:

    2. It was kind of funny that when the seller told me about him, they pointed out that he was "beauty green, NOT beauty white." I basically said that "then he's perfect, he's a vampire, he's supposed to look unearthly!" :XD:

      :kitty2 Good one, Kirahfaye!

I have a Elf Chiwoo also, and Shuichi basically wears anything that's for a SD-sized doll. SD Delf were the standard size back in the day, so your boy should be fine wearing anything marked "SD" or "SD13."

There are all kinds of tutorials and patterns here on DoA under Workshops, you just have to search them for what you want. :3nodding: Good luck!

    3. Thank you so much!! :)

Also does anyone have rrabit pants on delfs here?
Im curious about the fit, thanks!

    4. rRabit is sewn for Volks, and since Delfs are the same size as Volks boys (thanks Ryu!) I bet they'd fit really nicely!

    5. I have two pairs of the capri pants from rrabit and think they're a great fit on my Delfs. I've also got grey jeans from Alice's Collection that fit really well. Dollheart, I find, can be hit and miss. The older pieces, while a little loose, fit quite well, but the newer ones that I've got in their lucky bags just seem really huge on them. Cargo pants from Dollmore were, to my surprise, very tight and would only just do up, but a Senior Delf pair from Luts are fine.

      Hopefully this helps a little!

    6. I tried to search for an answer for this, but maybe some of you have experience with this question..
      I wonder, do Senior Delf boys shoes (sold on Luts site) fit Delf boys well? I'm looking at these shoes in particular. I know the stats say Delf feet are 7.3 cm and SDF are 8cm, but I just want to play it safe... It would be a bummer to own beautiful but too big shoes. ;_ ;
      Thank you!

    7. Waiting on a few pairs to come in the mail for my boy, if I remember I'll post some pictures when they come!

    8. I'd bought a couple pairs of Senior Delf shoes and as I recall, they were all too big to fit the Delf boys.

    9. I personally like Delf feet because they're small and can fit into girl shoes. On the other hand (or foot, if you like), however, is the fact that a lot of actual *boy* shoes seem completely huge on them.

To demonstrate... and please don't mind the crappy photograph, or the fact I had to place a bear between his legs to stop the shot going straight up to his underwear!

In the middle of the shot is a Delf Shine wearing girl shoes from Dollheart. To the left is a Delf boy shoe (DBS-09 CASSIS For Boy ) sold by Luts, and to the right is a Senior Delf boy shoe (I think - SBS-38 For Senior Delf Boy)

As you can see, there's a considerable size difference.

      Hope this helps!

    10. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out.

I know that only 68 OE Delf Elf Shiwoo and I'm pretty sure that only 68 Sleeping Delf Elf Shiwoo were made.

My question is, how many OE Delf Elf Chiwoo were made?

I got the impression that they might have been a standard sculpt, but I could be wrong.

      Ryu

    11. @Stormlight and @talithax , thank you so much for your help! I can't believe the actual Delf shoes are so much larger than the ones that fit your Shine so nicely.. And that there is so little difference between the DF and SDF ones! I always thought having a good ol' "standard-sized" SD was going to provide more range to clothes shopping, but I guess "range" this time means the girls section. :^D Thank you, this is such a big help!

    12. I couldn't tell you how many Elf Chiwoo were made, but I can say he was definitely a limited sculpt. And he came with a sleeping head like the other limited. :)

    13. I've found that CFLs really have an unappealing light quality, especially since I've been moving more away from them and toward LEDs. My dolls all get a yellower tinge to them when they're under the few remaining CFLs here, and look a bit closer to their real color under the LEDs in my room. Sadly, my workstation light is still CFL, but daylight spectrum, so it's harsh but true to color.

I feel like Dollheart has some inconsistent standards in their sizing. The lucky bags I got recently fit Ed and Jace wonderfully, except for the giant clown shoes that came with them. Which bummed me out a bit, I was hoping for some nice new shoes for them, and the style of one pair would have been perfect for Jace, if it had just been smaller. Looks like he's going barefoot a bit longer, until I finally find him some footwear. There was a hat and cape that looked like they belonged to a larger size, too, but the shirts, pants, and coat all fit wonderfully.

    14. Maybe Chiwoo elf was like Yder elf? Yder elf was made 200. I do wish I would've grabbed Chiwoo elf when I had the chance. So many Delf that got away...

    15. Thanks! I don't have the Sleeping Elf head though. Wish I did!

I'm finally trying to cataloging (read: writing down) my Crew's info, and the many older Delf I have I'm still finding out things about! :D They're the most familiar of my dolls, yet the ones I feel I can never learn everything about. ;)

Me too, xaya! I was just getting into BJDs during their heyday, and I really wish I had grabbed some of the rarer Shiwoo that were around then!

      Ryu

    16. @Ryuichi Sakuma 13 My boyfriend has one Shiwoo, it's vampire with round ears and dreaming eyes. Some sort of option head in the parts section from Luts? Poor boy would definitely need some face upping and a body. He has never had a face up, but poor guy was in a box for long until I dig him up from his hiding place. ^^; I've not given too much attention to my own big dolls but my boyfriend hasn't given any attention to his dolls for even longer. (He found friends who want to play boardgames too...). :) I'm sometimes trying to change his dolls clothes as well as my own dolls. My boys get too little attention from me for sure.

I do wish I'd gotten El, Lishe, Chiwoo. AES... anything with pointed ears I regret not getting. Basicly. My first love Delf was Miyu back at 2006... gosh I see I missed Tiffany's home coming day! It was February 2nd. ^^ Congrats for my girl, she's now 10 years old! This was from last Christmas, she was with me at home-home. I love this photoshoot of her. Afterwards I've bought her some mittens to fit her outift. ^__^

    17. Does your vampire head look like this? This is Tielo before he got his "Hobbit wig.":XD:

This is one Delf I don't have to worry about. He refuses to wear anything other than the suit he was buried in when he "died." He's also a Beauty Green and still has a pristine factory faceup, which was why I feel doubly lucky to find him!

Its too bad that your bf just left him in a box, but maybe once you find him a body and some clothes, he'll be more interested in playing with him.

My BFF's Mom just loves his "cute little fangs," as she calls them. :blush

I know what you mean about "pointed ears!" If I count all of my Delf with them, I have...*counts*...3 out of 9 that have them, which isn't too bad. ;)

      Ryu

    18. @Ryuichi Sakuma 13 Yes! That's the one. :) Here's his photo, he doens't have a wig or eyes and is currently on super shiny Elfdoll old boy body, I know my BF would prefer a Delf one, but he has other priorities at the moment. I'll keep on looking tough, when I have the finances for that. :) I quite like the face up on your boy and he doesn't look beauty green at all in that photo.

    19. I thought so! He's beautiful! I can't wait to see what you two do with him! :D

Yannow, I've been trying to get my cheap point-and-shoot camera to get a good shot of Tielo's greenness. :doh Its the main reason why I wanted him.

When I have floating heads, I usually start off getting them eyes and a wig, that way their personality seems to start coming forth. I'm more inclined to start saving for a body for them then. Maybe he could do that, start tossing coins into a piggybank for his boy's body.

And just for the record, I know a lot of guys that refer to their BJDs as "giant action figures" instead of "dolls!" Maybe that will help him want to get him together! ;)

    20. Oh wow I haven't been on in it feels like ages and everyone's dolls are aaaahhhhmazing!!
Love the Juri Pics! I finally wiped my AES..... I really love her even more blank than I ever did with her faceup! I still don't know wither I want to do her face up or to send her out

    21. Both of my Angel Elfs came with face ups, I don't think I've ever seen one blank!

    22. Blank resin sculpts are always so fascinating to me. I love looking at the sculpt without the distraction of a beautiful faceup. But, then again, I dearly love how faceups add character to the doll once they are finished....I look forward to seeing how the Vampire Shiwoo & the Angel Elf Soo look once they are painted.

    23. Loodles, I can definitely see the similarities between a AES and my DES's heads. Your girl is so cool!

This is my boy DES prior to getting his faceup. He's still a floater, and he hasn't told me his name yet, so I just call him "The Elf."

    24. Besides the eye shape what is the difference? Discovering Delfs after 2009, I always just thought it was a matter of faceups & costumes. SO how different were they when Luts was selling them?

Here's my AES looking particularly angelic in a photo I took for a DoA anniversary event. I only know she is an AES rather than DES because the friend I bought her from still had a copy of the posting from when they bought her on Ebay from Angelkitties long ago...

    25. Looking closely at the two blank heads, it seems like the eyeshape is the difference, at least from what I can tell. Any other differences would have to be pointed out to me. :sweat

      cthulhu, your girl is beautiful!

    26. They have different eye shapes, DES has more angled eyes and AES has eyes that are more like original Soo. When I bought my second AES the seller also offered me her DES. They had the same face up, but you could still tell which was which because of the eye shape.

    27. Takara (Dreaming El) wishes everyone a Happy Easter!

    29. Just curious, does anybody have each type of Soo? I'd love to see them lined up.

    30. I'm looking for high heeled feet for my 2006 Lishe. I have a pair (unknown manufacturer) I got for a doll I no longer have, but they don't fit. Any suggestions?

    31. Honestly, most CP Delf seem to be so perfectly balanced that they don't seem to need high heeled feet. Unless you need them for looks, but even then it might not be necessary.

I'd show you, but now that I think about it, my girls both have FL bodies. I can show you with one of my boys if you want. :kitty2

      Ryu

    32. The F70 girls had high heel feet, you can see if you can find a pair of those - they would most likely fit on a Delf since they have the same size feet.

    33. Hello! delurking because of the high heel feet compatibility ^_^
I found this post way back. The feet used is Souldoll Double high heel feet:
      /threads/high-heeled-feet-shoes.253960/page-4

Personally I would like to give Little Monica Harmony high heel feet a try, but I forgot where it got suggested. Now I'm having doubts if the ankle balls will be compatible on a Delf.

    34. Fairyland sells F60 magnetic feet, heeled and flat, and magnetic ball joints. The normal skin resin match should be nearly perfect for a Delf. :) White skin would depend on how much yellowing there is.

    35. And you can always put the feet in the window until they're the same yellowness as the rest of the body.

    36. I'm interested in getting the FM60 high heel feet since there will be little to no problems in NS or WS resin matching (unless the doll has significantly yellowed). But isn't the ankle ball of Moe feet too big for Feeple60 or CP Delf? (Pics will be appreciated :) )

    37. I don't have an F60 girl, can anyone help out @orekimok ?

    38. Thanks, everyone! I seem to remember trying a pair of high heeled boots on my girl's flat feet a couple of years ago and they didn't fit, but I could be wrong. I can ask friends to bring some high heels to this month's meeting and try them out, though.

    39. I have just tried the Feeple Moe magnetic ankles and heel feet comparing Luts Senior Delf girl feet on my Delf girl. I will post photos shortly.

I have posted the photos in my Flickr but here is one of the main photos. For me the Moe ankle doesn't sit well to Delf leg and it is too thick. Senior Delf ankle ball sits much better, I would think that other slim ankles would also be quite good fit.

    40. Thanks for the good reference pics! :)
That's the part I'm worrying about, having the Moe feet not fitting to Delf. By the looks of it, our dolls might have problems standing in it.
The Senior Delf high heel feet looks dainty on a Delf though, I'm impressed! :D

    41. I could be wrong, but I thought that the idea behind the M-line
was "a chunky girl/boy body," so it doesn't surprise me that the feet wouldn't work for a Delf. It was interesting to actually see it though, thanks xaya!

And for the record, Noriko's F60 feet can stand in high heels. I don't know how much CP changed the feet of the F60 though.

      Ryu

    42. @Ryuichi Sakuma 13 Oh yes, they were supposed to be the bigger girl. I thought it looked so wrong with my Delf, I knew without seeing that it wouldn't work but wanted to take a better look so everyone could see it and make their own decicions. I plan to horribly fail with the Senior Delf feet blushing and then beg for my friend to fix everything. ^^;

I didn't quite understand this part: Noriko's F60 feet can stand in high heels. I don't know how much CP changed the feet of the F60 though.

Please can you tell me to clarify, do you have other doll that have F60 heel feet which stands in F60 heel feet? Confused.

    43. My DES, Noriko, is on a Fairyland Feeple 60 body, so her feet are the regular F60 feet. She CAN stand in high heeled boots and high heel shoes just fine, even if they "may or may not" look aesthetically pleasing.

Honestly, I've never really paid that close a look as to if her feet look good in high heels or not. The fact that she can stand in them is good enough for me.

      Ryu

    44. @Ryuichi Sakuma 13 Ah thank you! Now I understand. So does the Delf stand OK with the flat feet in heel boots and such, I used to keep my girls in those too, and there's nothing wrong with that. Too bad I don't know anyone who has that F60 body, a friend of mine had a Feeple girl with the F60 body but she sold her before I could handle it properly. :D I do how ever have shoes that doesn't fit on the flat feet, that's basicly why I wanted heel feet too. Oh it would've been SO great if CP would've made those in Luts times. I'm sure they would've been so delicate and beautiful feet!

    45. I'm sure Delf high heel feet would have been lovely! My Delf girls can stand in some heels pretty well, since their feet are small and can fit into high heel shoes. The newer heels for heel legs instead of heel feet that are higher and smaller probably won't fit the flat Delf feet, I don't even know if they'll fit the high heel Senior Delf feet!

Here's Alex standing in pumps intended for high heel feet (not the snazzy high heel legs that they're making for the Senior Delfs and other girls now).

Obviously on carpet she was leaning against something, but she stood on my dresser perfectly.

    46. @sailorchiron Yes, they do fit Senior Delf heel feet, I have a photo from that in the previous page and there are several photos in my Flickr if you want to see. ^^ I do love your Miyu! Miyu's are so beautiful and yours is lovely too <3 <3 <3

    47. @sailorchiron your Miyu is so lovely and her style is really cute!

    48. I wanted to say thanks for the recommendation on this thread for the shapeways neck adapter! Mine came in today and finally my nanuri06's head/neck looks more normal :XD:

    52. Thanks guys!

Your Nanuri is gorgeous, I've never cared for the sculpt but the way you have her styled looks fantastic!

    53. @sailorchiron and @Kirahfaye - I know what you mean, I had her head kicking around for almost 10 years before doing anything with it because I was just at a loss. Then it occurred to me to try it as girl and I feel like the sculpt works better that way.

@candy_coated - I love the faceup on your Lishe. Looks awesome!

    54. Just stopping by with my fav. boy Shiryu since he hadn't had any pictures taken in a while, he had some today ^_^

    57. Hi everyone! I bought myself a Nanuri 07 head off the marketplace. Extremely excited for him to come home! I've never had a Luts doll as well as just a head! I'm currently looking for the Type 2 Body for the boy as well as eyes, wigs and clothes...

As you can see I'm used to having all girls :P I've had boys before, but I never ended up keeping them. I want this one to stay! :D

Any tips for a newbie luts owner? XD

    58. Sure thing! Here a a few tips:

-Nearly anything marked "SD" or "SD13" will fit a CP Delf, but they are also famous for having "bubble butts" and "thunder thighs," so take that into consideration when you buy pants.
-CP Delf boys have smaller feet than most SD boys, so shoes might be a bit large on them. Personally, I find that it helps them stand even better than they normally would.
-Sounds like you're getting a type 2 body, which means it has the turn key. I love it because it means its easy to take the head off if needed, but if you don't like it, simply take the turnkey part off and use a S-hook and donut ring combination.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Make sure to spam us with him, finished or unfinished, most of us LOVE to watch a doll come into their own! :3nodding:

Congrats and welcome to CP Delf caregiver-ship! :thumbup

    59. I don't really have any tips, but congrats! Enjoy him! (and share pics :))
