[Adopted] CP Delf Discussion Part 8

Thanks for the input Ryuichi Sakuma, Kirahfaye & Ashbet! I was actually going through their store and I saw some sporty-looking attire in the Iplehouse shop that fit SIDs (I just assumed they'd be in a similar scale-range as Delfs) and was wondering if they'd fit at all. i.e this lovely piece right here --> [clickity]

Nah I don't have Iplehouses. Although I've always had an urge to get one though! (I've resisted them so hard due to their jarring style difference versus Delfs. Which made me worry if I might fall out of love with Delfs if I start on Iples. EEP!)

 

Can someone who has a classic Soony please measure the eyes from the lower lid to the upper lid?
I know the event head's eyes aren't open as wide, but I want to know the difference.

Left eye (bottom to top, widest opening) = 9mm = 0.9cm
Right eyes (---------------"------------------) = 9mm = 0.9cm

Hehe -- well, I'm living proof that you can collect and love both!

For me, my bigger-headed dolls live in a different "world" than the more realistic ones . . . they don't really interact, and I don't display them together. I'm crazy about both aesthetics, though!

Damn, I have that Krita set floating around somewhere (we're not going to talk about the chaos in my studio right now, noooo) . . . if I turn it up, I'll try it on one of my large-bust Delf girls.

It's likely to still be way too big (the EID and SID ribcage and back is broader than a Delf -- my small-bust SID still can't wear Delf tops, and even lace-up stuff is a challenge), but since it's stretchy, it MIGHT fit.

If you're talking about clothing like dresses or pants, though, the sleeves would be too long/waist and hips too big/bust area too baggy. It might be OK for a really oversized look, but the EID/SID ladies are built on a bigger scale than Delfs, and even nYIDs are much hippier and bustier.

I've got Iplehouse dolls and a bunch of others that aren't a match aesthetically. .. I still love my Delfs! But they definitely can't share clothes. Sometimes not even wigs even though they might fit. The Iples have a totally different look/style.

 

My Iplehouse JID boy has a MNF girlfriend and my Delf Lishe elf girl has a DOI boyfriend. Mikah (DOI Camine) is kind of halfway between realistic and big headed and I think he works well with Lorilei (she's allowed to have a fanciful look as an elf, after all). It's all a matter of perspective, I guess.

 

Taking a moment to duck out of lurking and enjoying everyone else's photos to post one of Ed. He got his eyes and wig recently, and I took a few moments away from my current project to get some shots of him showing them off.

YAAARRRR!!!

Leilane "borrowed" the Aqua Steam Age Celine pirate hat. It doesn't really fit her (it's just perching on top of her head) - the Celine head is much smaller than the old Soony, as well as the NEW Elf Soony Juri 2014 head.

I recently switched my special Soo's body to Peakswoods Lolita body, and I'm very happy with the result!

 

MissEmily - At a glance I thought she was a modded Rona. I guess I need to get my tired eyes to bed. XD Lol. She'a absolutely lovely!

Hypercurve - I love your group!! And your Soo looks adorable on the new body.

I had planned on taking some new pictures earlier but when I went to re-string and suede my Soony, I couldn't get the knots undone on her string so she's still kind of floppy, but fully sueded. And when I was finished, the light had already gone. XD That's the only thing I hate about the Winter time.

 

I took Christmas photos of my girls, and the only one that turned out was the one where her elf hat had fallen off. Figures. I was asking for it in the F60 thread but I could use some Christmas Lishe spamming if anyone has some? And in the mean time, Merry Christmas from Deni, Juri, and Seeli.

 

Unfortunately I don't have any "official" Christmas Lishe spam, but I do have spam of Damara unhappily modelling my new Perennis Lishe outfit...
She was not happy with me... she thought it was too many clothes to wear at once.

Oh I know. Luckily she doesn't actually have to wear the outfit beyond that shot - she hates it. (Plus she's going to the spa to get some tattoos and it wouldn't do to have them all covered up!). I'm getting an actual Perennis girl to wear that outfit, I just have to find the Lupinus outfit now and get a wig that matches and some eyes for my boy.

 

I've always regretted trading away my '06 era Lishe (my first bjd) and have been looking to replace her. It seems though she is never in stock.. am I missing something?

 

LUTS doesn't sell CP sculpts anymore and so the Delf Lishe will never be in stock. CP sculpts are now at Fairyland. They have a thread for the Delf-sized equivalent dolls here where you will discover that the line including Lishe is currently on hiatus there too. The lines are F60 and FM60, if you want the FL links though.

You could always try the marketplace if you're looking for a CP Delf Lishe though! Good luck!

hi, was wondering if anyone could help me?
I've just restrung my el for the first time and I'm unsure how to reattach his headcap? is the S-hook supposed to attach to the roof of the cap and if so how? I think I've strung him too tight perhaps..? I was wondering if it's possible to attach magnets to the headcaps instead? has anyone does this?

 

What I usually do is loop a small rubberband through the arch in the headcap, then knot it until the remaining bits of the hanging loops are just able to be stretched and hook onto the top of the S hook.

I found the best rubber bands to use are the little rainbow loom rubber bands. They're so small so they'll keep the headcap on.

 

I like the sound of that! I don't have any of those bands, but since my El should be home soon, I might have to go pick some up to keep his headcap in place! (The elastic loop I've had on there previously was a bit too long to really hold the headcap solidly in place.)

 

You can get the refill bags in various colors for a couple bucks and can find them pretty much anywhere in the US.

I Thought I would share my Shiwoo Family.

I have a PROBLEM !! I have 13 Shiwoos. Only 4 are CP Delfs

CP Delfs LtoR- JunPyo (WS open eye), MinSoo (WS Dreaming), SiWon (NS Vampire), Zico (Cyber Bohemian)

 

MisGaGa, I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a Shiwoo problem! Though at the moment, I'm stopping myself at 3... with the possibility of up to two more, depending on what CP does with their releases.

And to add to the Shiwoo love, here's my boy from his most recent photoshoot. I decided to take him along when I went back home for New Year's/Christmas, in the hopes that one of the days wouldn't be too cold and windy so I could get him outside for some nice snowy pictures.

Thank you, MissGaGa, though his hair and eyes are actually both gold (but do have a bit of a red hue in some photos). They're almost exactly the same shade, which is perfect for his character. He was completely an unplanned addition to my doll family, but I have no regrets about adding him in.
