Here another example - Nabarro made Sumner for the Timeless body too - that is why we got a neck donut to match him with bodies with thinner a shorter necks.

@Mysha - Nor can I! That said I'm not too fussed if they end up looking a little too big because these ones are supposed to make him a look a little dazed. They're his "time travelling" eyes. The eyes I made are pretty rough around the edges but you can't see that anyway because it's all inside his head. Yeah, I think 5-6 mm irises are the best for these guys. But that's just me.

@deepspacefish - Well I have my Venitu on a DollShe Pure body, one of their now-discontinued 18M bodies. He does looks a little bobble-headed because the shoulders are much more narrow than the Timeless body, but the neck doesn't really need too much modification as it's already quite long and fits the deep neck hole in the head. There's a bit of a gap, and it is noticeable from certain angles, but it's got a pretty good range of movement.

 

Chiming in to say that I also managed to snag a Venitu fullset in Copper Oriental! Venitu's been a grail of mine ever since I missed out on him~ I'm so glad this sale popped up at a good time for me and so grateful that BJDiva's was willing to help us out with it! Now to try and settle on a name for my guy~

I purchased a Venitu head but not body, so I'm stuck between a Dollshe mystic body or a Dollstown 17 y.o body ;__; But I can't wait for him to come in!

 

would the dollshe 28M body be a better hybrid? The shoulders are bigger for one.

 

I got a pale tan Venitu + an extra head (I want a back up if anything ever happens to mine) and I am really happy. I already have a pale tan Saint and it is a gorgeous colour. I can't wait to see owner pics as they all start arriving. The blue resin looks wonderful and I also like the copper oriental.

 

It does work, and it looks quite good, but there's little to no neck movement.

 

well. i suppose modding is always an option lol

 

I have a question, I wasn't sure, so I didn't order extra extra hands with mine, but do the timeless hands fit on Dollshe Pure bodies? After seeing a pair being sold for $300, an extra $75 doesn't seem that bad to add to my fullset. I think I can still do that. I think I've seen them on dollshe...just wanted to be sure.

 

You would not have to modd the neck - you can just make him an extra neckpart - no damage to the head or the body that way

I would get them. You can always sell them. And yes, I think they fit on some of the Dollshe bodies. The DSAM32 and the Arsene one. I do not have the purebody though

 

I am pretty sure they are what @Quiet and Insane has on their pure body and they look fine. You can see the pics on the last few pages of this thread

 

Are there any jointed hands that would work for them?

 

^ I've thought about that too, but... Venitu has rather slim wrists, and long, slim fingers, and there aren't any jointed hands out there that even look similar to them :/ So in theory yes, could work, but any jointed hands meant for 70cm dolls might look a bit weird on him.

 

For those that have Venitu on his own body already, do the hands remove easily? Because I'm wondering how those hands fit in clothes? Thanks!

The timeless body comes with an extra hand "paddle" that you can put on to slip the hands into clothes. They are great and definitely a finger saver! ^_~

 

And the hands do remove easily - hooks hold hands so changing to the paddles is easy but I always use the forceps or whatever those things are called, to hold the elastic. I can never get the gesture hands through sleeves.

Hehe, I am lazy and just hold the elastic with my fingers...and then feel like I'm playing Shadow of the Colossus or something...just like watching my grip meter drop as I wiggle the paddle part on.

 

Lol- much braver than I am! I don’t have the wherewithal to restring if I lose the elastic

 

I just pull the hand out and stick a chopstick into the elastic loop to hold it while I change to the paddle hands.

I had a dream about my Venitu on order last night. Right now it looks like he might be a bit...wolfish. X3

 

Could anyone who owns a Venitu head and Dollshe Mystic body possible post pictures of them together without any neck mods? I'd really like to know if I can get away with not making a neck piece or if it's a requirement to make him look okay.

ETA: Are the hands going up for sale next week?

 

Oh yay! This is all good news about the hands! I love the idea of those hand paddles things. Thanks for the info everyone!

 

Cho has a cold so things are slowing down a bit. He asked us to give him two or three days more for the hand sale.
He posted pics of them back in June 2016. they really are amazing!

Well, I did the thing and put a Goohwa head on layaway. I initially wanted him in blue, because I love blue, but then I realized he would make an excellent shell for one of my OC's who, tragically, is not blue.

I feel guilty for putting another doll head on layaway after finishing up on a pair of Dollshe heads literally the same month, but I've loved Goohwa since he came out. Now, I just need to find some discipline and save up for bodies, and not get distracted by any other dolls.
