Little Leto turned 17 this January! He is my very first doll and got me into BJDs and also into joining Den of Angels back in 2007. Thank you DoA for these long years of BJD bliss! I bet Leto would have enjoyed celebrating his anniversary with a summer photoshoot rather than posing in the driving snow - but well, sometimes you just got to leave your comfort zone … Leto by Evie ex Machina, on Flickr Leto by Evie ex Machina, on Flickr Leto by Evie ex Machina, on Flickr Leto by Evie ex Machina, on Flickr
Congratulations Evie the Kid! WOW! Seventeen years old! That's quite the milestone. He still looks awesome! And congrats on still having your first doll! It seems like a lot of people sell their first dolls, and generally come to regret it later on. First loves are hard to forget. Thanks for sharing him with us on his special day!
Thank you! Haha, he's wearing layers … I have to admit that he doesn't have a real winter outfit after all these years … Thank you! He really doesn't look his age and I still enjoy taking pictures of him. Thank you! He's really my first love and I can't imagine selling him. He's part of my biography and we're sharing a lot of memories … Thank you! I wonder what kind of book that would be, I'd sure like to read it!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy them. Thank you! I like snow photos, but it's so hard to work a camera when my hands are getting cold …
Thank you! It's really nice that my litlte boy is getting such sweet comments here. Thank you! It's funny that this doll is so much older than its character who is a boy of 6 or 7 … Glad you enjoy my pictures. Now I'm really glad I made my way out into the snow …
Wow 17, a great age! And looks fabulous, loving the outfit, the snow and the ambience (Just realised that my first bjd is 17 too! Doesn't time fly haha)
Thank you! Yes, he's an old man now … He still looks so good, his skin has mellowed but not yellowed and I really like it. Oh cool, another one who still has their first BJD! Oh yeah, I can't believe I've been in the doll community for so long - but it's great to have a hobby that is still relevant after so man years. Thank you! I also think, he can still compete with newer dolls and more modern molds. Yes, I sewed this outfit. had a lot of scrap fabric and made this "boro" style kimono. (I'm interested in Japanese textile art)
Beautiful photos, Leto is so expressive in all of these. He looks like an experienced little traveller here, and the outfit is wonderful! Happy birthday to him, and happy doll anniversary to you too! Thank you for sharing these pictures.
Thanks very much, I'm happy to share my pics! Leto looks so grown-up in these photos … yes, I guess he really is the travelling type. I like working with fabric, but I'm not very good at it - it always takes me ages to make clothes for my dolls.
He appears to have aged so well! He looks so good I would have never guessed he was 17, congratulations! I really love the clothing and the snow shoot, what a proper little traveler! Here's to many more years to come
