50–65cm Dolls || A semi-impulsive purchase || [Volks Isao Nanjou]

Hello everyone!
Well, it's been a whole 10 years since I last unboxed a doll, so here I am after a short hiatus...

A little backstory about this purchase; I've liked Isao Nanjou since forever, but never actually thought of owning him back then as I was a student and could never afford anymore dolls. Recently, I saw someone selling him on the secondhand market and for some reason, I felt a sudden need to have him in my collection. However, I ended up buying him off Mandarake instead!

The next day, I took better photos of his faceup so I could have a reference once I redo it. Yes, even though I really loved this simple but beautiful faceup, I am just someone who likes doing my own



However, my first try wasn't so successful! His eyebrows were too high, lips were too dark and overall blushing was looking strange.



So I wiped it off and tried again two days later and this was the result:





I am definitely much happier with this one because he looks just how I wanted him to look! I still have a long way to go at perfecting eyebrows and eyelashes but this will do for now...
