Casting A question about smooth-on resin

Do you mean the fumes released while it cures? It doesn't say anything about it on the package. I've recently worked with it in the same room other people were using flame sources and it was just fine.

 

What specifically were you looking at? I think all of the items on their website have safety data sheets up that should indicate that.

 

I regularly work with Smooth on products for my full time job. Though I've never held a lighter or direct flame to it, I can't say that the fumes are flammable, at least not on the resin that I use. I do use a high temp heat gun on a lot of the resin projects I make, and it's never burst into flames or exploded. The resin I use most is Smooth cast 300 and Smooth cast 65D. You can also find a lot of safety information on their website for each individual product!
