A little re-hey y'all

Mar 1, 2023

    1. Figured it would be a good idea to reintroduce myself since it has been....A. While. since I was last active.

I'm Sam, a little older, (maybe) a little wiser, & living my best enby dreams in a house of my own with my dogs, my plants, and my various collections. Still living in the southeast, still working in retail, and absolutely still obsessed with dolls.

Seems I need to dust off my owned list, but 99% of the og crew is still here. Of course there have been a few additions and some of the resin folk have undergone some updating, but they're still the dolly loves of my life and I'm looking forward to getting back to working with/on them and participating in the community once again

    2. Welcome back! Were you on a doll hiatus, or just away from Den of Angels? Did you put your dolls away in storage, or did you still have them out but just not worked on?

If you were actually away from the hobby and/or put your dolls away, the BJD hobby landscape has changed a lot, and there's much to be discovered and rediscovered! (Which happened to me - I myself returned a few months ago from a 10-year-long hiatus completely away from the hobby, and it was fun to experience some of the newbie excitement again.)

I hope you get a chance to work on your dolls and participate in the community again - I'm sure your crew would welcome the attention and sprucing up.

    3. Thank you! It was both, though I stepped away from DoA a teeny bit (just a month or 2 maybe?) earlier than I stepped completely away from the dolls themselves. I had to put most of them in storage because of space, unfortunately - including my newest bigger boys I hadn't got to work on at all, so they're pretty much blank slates that I'm really interested to see how the time away will have influenced what I do with them now. The handful I kept out were/are my favorite "finished" yos & tinies, but they basically became cabinet dolls.

Phew! You're telling me! The little bit I've been re-exploring has amazed me @ everything that's changed, but I'm looking forward to digging in and finding my niche again in this new dolly landscape.
