A Bone to pick with Dishlaga

Jun 5, 2006

    1. I'm normally a very nice person. And I'm not trying to be mean here but i am upset. I wrote this in a thread I have for the people I deal with and I thought that it should be abit more public.

dishlaga - a very nice girl. I ordered my BF Emilie from her. She's very helpful and patient. Even though she is under good sellers I do have abit of a bone to pick with her. The doll wasn't exactly what she said it was. She said she was the blossom body, but I recieved the normal TF body. She failed to mention the scratches all over her body and severe chipping in her joints. Also she is the most yellowed I have ever seen a doll be. She also has something wrong with her left leg. Even though she said she was going to be shipped naked, she did ship her to me with the dress you see in all these pictures and I got a pair of Etheral Angel Eyes for a low price. So like I said I'm mixed on this person but if I had the chance to go back and redo it... I think I might. :(

    2. That's really too bad! I hate to hear about these bad deals T_T Just one thing to note though, is that I *think* that Angelregion designer/molds are the same as for BF bodies? Someone help me on this >O<

    3. Er... Wait you're right. I feel silly now. Thanks for pointing that out. All the other stuff still stands though.

    4. I hate to land on this one, but having seen Lipika in person, in comparing it to the website, she's the basic body and not the blossom.

      She's still drop-dead cute, though. :)

    5. She is still cute and I love her very much. Just a little disappointed I guess...

    6. I want to stress, I'm not friends with dishlaga I just bought a BF Tommy head from her, and looked at the BF Emilie for sale post, because of that. ^^; She sent my head very quickly but never responded to my question about where she had bought the wig he came with (I liked it and was curious) or I think left me feedback. ^^;;;;

I can't speak about the blossom vs. regular body and any scratches, but I do remember Dishlaga mentioned the body was yellowish. As I doubt I live near you, I can't compare your body easily to my old skin PF Choco who is the much more yellow BF color.

I'm really sorry you're disappointed though. That's really hard. The new BF dolls on the BlueFairy site are much pinker. (some batches more so than others) and some people really like the tone (myself) and others do not.

    7. Thanks for your comment. I'm also kinda sad like the replacement handaparts and such I can't get now.

    8. I'm sorry, but I just checked this as I've been out of the state and am still currently. (Which I told you several times when we were arranging the transaction.) Why have you not PMed me with this instead of making a public display of you rather unwarranted complaints? I did not tell you she was on a Blossom body. I told you she was from the original batch of Blue Fairy dolls which did have the same bodies and same skin tone as the Little Fairs. At the time she was bought, I don't believe Blue Fairy even offered a Blossom Body.

Emilie is over two years old and I'm sorry if she has some scratches, but I was not aware of them or any chips. I would gladly have taken more extensive photos for you if you had asked. Also, she never had a problem with her left leg, but I kept her in a sitting position so it is possible that what you consider a problem was normal to me. I don't think it was or is my responsibility to anticipate how you want you doll strung. Most everyone who works with BJDs has had to redo stringing at some point.

If you had bothered to PM me I would have tried to work with you. As it is, I'm taking away time from my family to answer this and PM a moderator.

    9. Okay......

We encourage people to work things out privately, before posting threads like this.
If you knew she was out of town, you should have waited for a response before posting. The time to bring concerns to the open forum is after you have been unable to resolve them with a seller.

I also remember the sales post VERY well, as I had seriously thought about adopting Emilie myself. The post did NOT say she was on a Blossom body. The post did say she had yellowed. Small surface scratches are a normal part of a doll that is two years old. I can't address the chipping, as I haven't seen it. Also, BlueFairies and AngelRegion mini sized dolls share the same body style, and although I'm not positive what you mean by "something" wrong with her left leg, both my AR dolls sit with their left leg at a different angle than the right (sort of splayed). I think it's a design thing.

I also remember that dishlaga was offering Emilie at a VERY good price.....so I think the price reflected the condition of the doll. You have posted some incredibly cute pics of your Emilie, and I think she's a great doll!

Replacement parts do not always match, even from resin batch to batch. An excellent example are the Luts dolls, where some batches are very pink, others more fleshtoned. Also, since it was mentioned that Emilie had yellowed, I don't think that dishlaga can be held responsible for you wanting to buy different parts for her.

A suggestion.....I have a set of Kid Delf hands that came with my AR Ren as an extra. The resin match isn't exact, but it does work well. I'd try to take Emilie to a meetup and see if anyone there has a Kid Delf you could compare resin tones with.

Enjoy her, she's a sweet girl!
