      ....................

:o I took my Seol a apart two weeks ago to freshen her up, a bunch of things came up & I had to shuffle doll supplies around, out of town guests arrived, etc.
Now I'm putting her back together & I can't remember if she had S hooks at her wrist joints or not!!!

    2. Hi ;)

My Estella has S hooks at her wrist. I took a look at some pictures of Seol-a on the DT site and it looks like she has S hooks at her wrist.

    3. There is a thread on here somewhere about sizes, but she can wear most Teen Trends clothes but not the shoes. Just about any MSD size will work for her too. I love mine and she poses beautifully.

    4. I've also bought Friends2bmade clothing and most has fit her really well. Tops especially are no problem and they're cheap!

    5. You are one lucky duck!!! I have a Dollstown Seola girl AND a boy and they are two of my favorites, without a doubt. Your girl will fit into MSD size clothes. She is bigger than Narae and Unoa, so she may or may not be able to wear some clothes made for them. They fit well into the Ajumapama MSD clothes. Wig size is a 7-8. JPopddolls sells wonderful Golf Label wigs on Ebay that fit Elfdoll girls--they fit Seolas.

If you have any questions or want to see pictures of my darling girl, here are some links:

    6. I have Changa on Seola body and yes they fit msd clothes, the feet are I think a bit small but with socks fit most msd shoes and boots. I love my dollstown, they take a 7-8 wig, my jpopwigs, gold label and mohair all fit them in that size. They body is thinner than my msds abit so most of the Dollmore clothes fit really well too, here is my girl in one of my human hair wigs

    7. Do you know if the 5 year and/or the 7 year body fits into the Kish Seasons 16 inch doll clothes? What about shoes?
      Thanks!

    8. Gosh, I have Dollstown Seola, both a boy and a girl, and I have Ganga, too. But I have no idea if they fit into Kish clothes because I don't have any of those dolls. I can give you their measurements, though.

      Seol_A:
      Height: 46 cm
Eyes: 18mm (iris size 9mm) glass
      Circumference of head: 8.3 inch
      Sitting height: 26 cm
      Length of arms: 13.5 cm
      Length of hand: 4 cm
      Length of foot: 5.4 cm
Width of shoulder: 10 cm (only body 7 cm)
      Circumference of neck: 7.9 cm
      Circumference of bust: 18 cm
      Circumference of waist: 15.7 cm
      Circumference of hips: 21cm
      http://dollstown.com/zboard/zboard.php?id=seola

      Ganga's detail size (a unit : cm)
      weight 0.6 kg(head+body)
      height 41(head+body)
      eyes 18mm (iris size 9mm)
circumference of head : 7.9 inch
      sitting height 24
      length of arms 12.5
      length of hand 3.5
      length of foot 5.2
width of shoulder 19 (only body 7)
      circumference of neck 7.5
      circumference of bust 17
      circumference of waist 16.7
      circumference of hips 19.7

Here are two pictures of the three of them. In the standing picture, Olivia, my Seola girl, looks a lot taller than Oliver. She has taller shoes and a hat than he does. Their bodies are the same size, though. Oliver's size compared to Sveta's, my Ganga, is more true to actual.

    9. I had wanted Seola for the longest time and missed buying her secondhand on DoA. So I ordered her from Dollstown. Then the person who bought her on DoA decided within a few days that she was too sad for her, so I bought her and asked Dollstown to make my order for a boy. And then I got Ganga sometime later from the original owner of my Seola. So you never know.

If you want to see more pics of them they are here:

    10. I really love dollstown's dolls! But I'm just in love for Ganga! :D :aheartbea :love

So, I would want to know if Ganga's head can have a good match with others msd body or tiny (petite ai?) body...

And if the dollstown's resin have a good match with others resin ^^

Thanks so much and sorry for my grammar! :(

      Elena :)

    11. Dollstown WS is a perfect match for WS AoD bodies - i have a Ganga as a boy, he's just lovely.

    12. Yes, the proportions are fine.
I think that the Ganga head is only available in pinkywhite skin on the DT website at the moment though....you would need to ask for picture comparisons of DT pinkwhite skin and AoD WS or NS to be sure they are a decent match.

    13. what eye size will work the best for seola- i have read 18mm and 16mm. i am going to order a pair of enchanted eyes but im not sure which size to get...

    14. Dollstown lists 18mm but oddly as 9/18mm or 18/9mm (maybe the eyes are 9mm thick?)

      Head: 8.3 inch
      Eyes: 9/18mm

They sell Mystic Eyes in that size:
      http://dollstown.com/zboard/view.php?id=info&no=13

I do not know if Mystics run large or small.

    15. I am so thrilled that I was just able to bring home a Sia with the 7girl body!!!! This is, without question, one of the most gorgeous dolls I've ever seen. The body is a total delight - I wish more dolls had the torso and waist joints!!!

So, in regards to clothes, I notice that most DT keepers are not referring to the body by 7 or 5 but rather by head mold! What fits the 7girl????

    16. Pelicandeb I really enjoyed seeing all of your pictures I love these sculpts too.

I am reading here that Seola wears a 7/8 wig on her 8.3inch head. What size wig does Ganga wear on her 7.9 inch head? Can they share wigs? That would be wonderful!

    17. First, what is the difference between whiteskin, freshskin, and oriental skin?

Second, how quickly do these dolls sell out? I have all of the money saved for a Seola but cannot buy her for another week... I have to pre-order her body, too. Does the body usually actually take up to 2 months like the website says? How long has the body been up for pre-order only? How often is it like this? How soon does the doll get to the US after it is shipped?

Are their headcaps particularly hard to deal with?

Are the eyes that come with the doll really worth the $60?

The indent in the thighs to make for better posing doesn't bother me in the pictures, but does it bother any of you in real life?

I had a few other questions regarding the dolls themselves - but I've suddenly forgotten them. Will edit this post when I remember.

    18. on the skincolor I found this on the website:

      Skin type: Pale-skin(white-skin), Fresh-skin(pinkwhite-skin), Oriental-skin(normal-skin)
Dollstown has minimized color variations within each skin type by applying standardized coloring data using the DollShe craft reproduction center’s systematized urethane resin coloring system. The head and body of all dolls show almost no color variations, allowing individual body parts to be replaced and changed easily.

You can check the thread : Dollstown waiting room ( Incoming doll) I think most of your questions can be answered there !

    19. I only have one DT girl so far... :love

Although navigating the join/login process is a bit challenging, aside from that it's really easy to order. Just write what you want, Mr. An will reply with a full price and the paypal address, you pay, and in a few weeks you have your dear dolly! The wait is getting a little longer since they're quite popular right now, but still very reasonable compared to some companies (my first doll I had to wait just over two months; I think DT is shipping in around 3-5 weeks right now, but check the waiting room for more up-to-date reports).

I adore the body (especially now that her slippy knee has been replaced and she can stand :doh) and I love the character in the DollsTown faces. I think you're right that the faceup can make a difference between a doll who looks neutral-but-wistful, pouty, or downright heartbroken...but also many people end up falling in love with the sweet sadness, and are happier catching the barest hint of a smile with just the right angle than trying to make the sculpts somehow happy.

if you want to read more about people's experience with DollsTown, there are a few other threads to check out.
here is the 15-girl body discussion thread, including people's responses after the first ones arrived home.
here are my thoughts on my girl just after she arrived (keep in mind that there was an issue with the knees that Mr. An subsequently corrected).
here is another thread like this one, in the "company feedback" section. lots of responses.

hope that gives you a good sense of them!

    20. I'm sorry if I've put this in the wrong place, Mods please feel free to move of delete if this is duplicated elsewhere.....

I've been looking to find what sort of resin works well with the Dollstown heads. I love the face moulds but am still not entirely sure that their bodies are for me.

Or perhaps you can persuade me that the Dollstown bodies are definitely worth getting???

I would be looking for an immature girl body to suit either Ganga or Seola, can anyone please tell me what resins are a good match. I prefer the Oriental Skin from Dollstown, or my second choice would be the fresh skin....I'm not really into very white dolls.

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated.

    21. Hi Sharon in Spain,

Aren't I in your Yahoo BJD sewing group?

Anyway, I didn't get many answers to this question either but here is a link to my Thread
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=264266

I'm wanting an Ariel head but I want their old 13A body, which was more realistic than their newer 13B body, which is quite "anorexic" if I do say so myself. I don't know about Asians but I was putting on my puberty weight at 13!!

I'm Perdita Raine in our group, I know I recognize your name from one of my yahoo groups. I'm very new to them though and haven't done much posting. I'm still saving for my first doll (Ariel) and I'm trying so hard to find the old body or a good substitute.

      Talk soon.

      :candycane

    22. Hi Dambuster01.....:) The Dollstown bodies are really worth getting...;)

Ganga is only a MSD size she fits on the 5Girl or boy size DT body,Ganga will also fit on the 7Girl or boy bodies. Seola is also MSD size and fits the 7Girl or boy body, she can also fit on the Elf body.........You can also get Seola in 13 size (I have her) she fits on the 13 or 15 bodies (I prefer her on the 13)......The Oriental skin (Normal Skin) is very nice indeed as is the Freshskin...I don't have the Paleskin.....

I have the 13A original DT body and the 13B original bodies also the new 13 bodies and I love all of them....especially the 13B...it's my favorite of all....not at all "Anorexic" just lovely and slim.....:)

      I hope this has helped...

      xen :)

    23. Molly1 did have her oriental skin Ganga on my Leina's body, and said it was a good-enough match. Be careful though, you need the older style body (can't remember the name at the moment but the Leeke thread would be able to tell you) as the new body is a different resin colour

However in terms of cost I'd probably just get a DT body as they are so nice :)

    24. I’ll start with my own question: what companies have you successfully bought wigs from? My poor Seola started in a Monique 8-9 wig, which was a good fit for her head, but simply had waaaaaay too much hair for a little girl, I imagine because it’s designed for small-head SDs. Now she’s wearing a Luts 7-8 wig, which is more proportional looking, but barely stays on her giant noggin! I wish more companies offered a 7.5-8.5 option! What have you all been using for your kids?

If you're interested in Ganga, Seola, Mari, Sia, and Arin, post away!

    25. undermost salamander:

      Re Wigs
My Girl Mara (DT Seola 7) wears Monique wigs in size 7-8
and wigs from Jpop Size 7-8
      these have a good stretch

I also have a wig from Kemper again sz 7-8

I think 7-8 wigs are fine for the 7yr heads as long as they have a good stretch cap

      Hugs Carla xx

    26. I cant believe there hasnt been a thread for these earlier !

      I love my Finn !

I think if they bought out a MSD elf ...I would be doomed !

I think she is wearing 16mm glass eyes and one of my GingerNut wigs ...she is a redhead
      and a real strop monster

she cant stand for toffee as she is one of those girls from the new batch with the wonky leg ...but I dont care ..its just her

PS ...it was Xens fault ! her beautiful girls .and Christy ..I had to make a wig for her girl ...I took one look at her ...and fell in love
I knew this was the MSD for me ...

    27. i took these photos a while ago, i really need to take something new, but just to get things started i thought i would add my twins: Piper is a Ganga girl on a 7yr body, and Barron is a Sia boy on a 7yr body. they were in a "Goth" mood that day.

wigs: custom by mndoll, i have used other wigs on them, 7/8 is fine for them with a stretchy cap.
eyes: these are 14mm (i think) but i would prefer something smaller, as they have that starring look, i am going to try 12mm..... i do love the colors.
colthes: they are both wearing Dollmore MSD and they fit wondrfully, i have not had any problem fitting them into standard MSD clothes and shoes.
      face up: by me

Piper: Ganga on 7yr body, a perfect fit!

    28. So, is everyone who has one, saying that the 7yr body fits regular MSD clothing, or is she bigger? I can't seem to fathom it out, she looks bigger but she looks skinny too!
I think it might be wise for me to wait until she arrives, but I'm itching to sew something especially for her!!!

By the way, I'm just loving all the photos.....gorgeous!

    29. as long as the clothes are for regular/large MSD then yes I find the fit is usually ok too

the DT 7 Body is a little taller than some regular MSD tho

fashions for slim MSD, like Narae, Unoa etc do not fit unless they are made from super stretchy fabrics

I would like to know too - do Luts Kid Delf Fashions fit the DT 7 body ??

I sew for my Mara (DT7) and I love to sew for her, I can't find many fashions in the styles I like, so I make my own and some to sell too - so Sharon I am sure you will have lots of fun creating & sewing for your girl too :)

      hugs Carla xx

    30. Thanks for starting this, undermost salamander.

Violette (Ganga-7yr) normally wears her custom wig as it suits her and doesn't fall off. It's a size 8 mohair wig.

I bought a size 7-8 "Devious" Jpop wig, which also fits nicely (after a little tugging). The fringe was a bit long so I trimmed it; a tad unevenly as you can probably tell!

      Custom wig.

      "Devious" Jpop wig.

Carla, your Mara's blonde wig suits her perfectly :)

    31. Oh, I'm so happy to see that this thread is taking off!

Thanks everyone for your input on wig size. I think maybe I will try a JPop 7-8, as I really liked the style and colour of the first wig she had. Everybody's kids look great!

I have/had one of the wonky-leg 7yr bodies. I think it was just the first (or maybe first two) runs of the re-worked body that was released in early 2008, the right knee was slightly mis-sculpted and would slip out of place even more easily. If you asked, Mr. An would send you replacement legs, and I did that. She stands much better now, but I think I only replaced the slipping leg, and now one leg is a few mm shorter than the other. :doh
When I get back to Canada, I'm going to replace the other leg as well, see if that helps. Otherwise, it's out with the sandpaper.

I have made all of Rada's clothes (which is why she doesn't have that many :sweat), so I can't share any experience with fitting across companies. However, I did sew something from a pattern designed for MSD and it was waaaaay too big around. Even when I took in the sides a lot, it's still quite loose on her. Hard to say if that's a real size difference, or just the vagaries of free patterns on the internet, but that was my experience.

O, p.s. Octarine, to multi-quote, just click the little plus sign under the posts you want. Hope that helps!

    32. Yes, as I recall it was only about six weeks after the first orders went in that Mr. An posted a notice about the problem, saying that he had fixed the leg, and people should try re-stringing (tightening) but that he would send out new legs as necessary. A very prompt and extremely reasonable response!

    33. Hi Toydogz4.....:) I only just noticed your request for measurements...:doh
I measured my Ganga for you from top of shoulder to floor....is....32cm or just over 12 1/2 inches......hope this helps. You must be doing some sewing for Ganga...;) Dolly hugs......:)

      xen :)

    34. Hi! I've just found this thread and have had an enjoyable time catching up on the posts and loving the pictures of all the sweet Gangas and Seolas and Maris.

Can I introduce my little one? She is a Ganga on the 7yr body and she arrived last Easter. Also one of the wonky legs ones, I thought I'd be able to live with it but 6 months later I asked if I could have replacement legs and was sent them. Such a lovely, lovely company.

      Anyway, here is Anouk ....

    35. kayjay: Congrats too! The freshskin is quite pale but the paleskin is whiter - I have both skin colours and will try and take a picture later for you.

    36. I've spent the last couple of hours playing, but still she is naked, poor girl!
I hadn't bought anything with her in mind because I had no idea how the default face up would look, so thought I'd wait until she arrived. For the moment she is wearing some very cheap acrylic eyes but the colour is good for her, so now I will hunt for some better quality ones in a similar shade. I've tried loads of wigs but so far haven't made my mind up what to go for. The one I had in mind is toooooo orangey and because her faceup is more towards pink than peach I think, the wig doesn't look right.
I've found that although her head is quite large in circumference, the dome is quite flat so some of the wigs I thought would be good, are wrong for her. I really liked her in a blunt cut style but I only had black and that was too severe for her.
For the moment she is borrowing a blond one from the smaller girls, its a 6/7 but stretchy. I like the style on her and the colour, so she will keep that one until my paypal account is looking a little bit healthier!!!!
So here is a photo of her at the moment, hope you like her....and I'm off to continue to play!!

    37. Thanks for all the lovely comments on Ganga.

I've just found out that a dress I made ages ago for the 16" Kish seasons, fits her perfectly. It is blue gingham with smocking on the front. I was going to give it away when I sold my Kishes but am glad I saved it now as it really suits her. I will have to take more photos. I think she is going to suit really young girly stuff, but I'll try all sorts to see.

Kayjay, it is a little bit overwhelming actually!!!! I am one of those people who gets all 'stressed' if the dolls have nothing 'of their own' to wear and so panic, thinking "oh no, I haven't got time to make this or that"....really silly, but I guess that's just me!!!!

    38. Sharon
oh My she is GORGEOUS !!!!!!
I really want a Ganga now LOL
16" Kish Fashions fit the 7yr Body real well - glad you can sew some too, as they are hard to come by now the 14" Kish girls are out :)
      Hugs Carla xxx

    39. I was thinking about Kish dolls last night, as I used to have a 16" girl long ago, and was wondering if they would be similar proportions. Was also cross as I remembered about a pattern book for Kish dolls I used to have called A Closetfull of Doll Clothes by Rosemarie Ionker. The patterns were for 14, 18 and 20, and a smaller one though, no 16.

I do have loads of Sasha patterns. She's 16" but a bit chunkier than Kish. Now I just need a doll :...( I want one so desperately now after seeing all these beauties on here.

My lovely Dollshe guys are trying to comfort me, but I want a little girl I can sew pretty dresses for

    40. Yes the Kish Seasons doll clothes (16 inch) fit the 7 year body very well, the hems need to be lengthened is all. The Kish 14 inch Chyrsalis doll clothes fit the 5 year body, a little snug (pants don't fit at all), but the hems need to be let down as well. Sasha doll clothes are way too wide for either Dollstown body. The shoes made for the 14 inch Kish dolls do fit the 5 year body as well.

    41. I have a few patterns from Patchwork Pansy that are for the Kish Seasons, I'll have to try them out. The dress she is wearing now, which I'll take a photo of tomorrow when its light, is just right except, as you say toydogs4, would really need to be a fraction longer on her. She now needs some socks.

    42. Thanks for all the nice comments on my new little girl. I tried the outfit on her today that I mentioned yesterday, which I made a while ago for my (no longer here) 16" Kish Spring. I kept it because a lot of work had gone into it. I'm not sure it is the look I'm after but at least she is not sitting here naked!!! I think I want a more modern look for her, but equally young looking......Here are a couple of photos....

    43. I use 14mm or 16mm in my Seola 7

Mara's green eyes she has in all the time are 16mm

I would say 18mm are way too big personally !

    44. Such fun to find this site in DOA... Here are some pix of my little Seola. I concocted the elf outfit. The little sundress she is wearing in the tree was made by Pink Grapefruit.
How I love these little dolls and seeing the outfits you folks have made... gives me inspiration to make some of my own.
This little one is on one of the older Seola 7 bodies... little fragile, skinny girl and her name is 'Ivory.'

    45. Yesterday I added a tiny bit of blush to Ganga's cheeks and instantly I was happier with her look! I also changed her wig for another blond one that used to belong to my Dollmore Narsha, I like this solid blond better on her than the previous one, for some reason!
And this morning I learned that her name is actually Ashleigh.
So I made her a new outfit for the spring but you know what these kids are like, the sun came out and she instantly just 'had' to put it on! Thank goodness she had the sense to wear over the knee socks with her shorts, as it wasn't that warm!!!
Here she is sitting in the lemon tree!
      And close up....isn't she lovely!!!!

I will post more pics of my lovely seola very soon ^^.
I hope you had a great Valentines' day ;)

    47. My Mara did not have her seams sanded, I have a bit of an issue with her hand, but DT have said they will replace them for me, free of charge, bless them, such a wonderful service they offer !!
other than that her seams are pretty smooth considering
I am not worried that I did not spend the extra on seam sanding

    48. kittywolf13 - My Mara is on 7yr body and she has a couple regular MSD Sized Outfits
one fits fine - one is a little small & one is somewhat short on her, 7yr body is taller than most regular MSD dolls
The Volks Outfit I have for Mara fits her perfectly tho
I think its a bit of trial and error - but overall, I would say yes, 7yr can mostly wear regular MSD Sized Clothes :)

    52. Gilly, I just love your girls, Kayes faceups are wonderful, I love how she does freckles. And your dresses are so cute, love the style.
Miss Ally, your dark tan Momo is beautfiul! I am not a fan of the tan dolls, but this deep, rich color is wonderful. I love her! I can't wait to see her with her own body, but I wouldn't mind more pictures of her on any body in the meantime.
Lamira, thank you for your compliments on Amelia, I just love her so much. She is the Aren sculpt in Freshskin, on the 7 year body. She can wear a size 7-8 wig, but unless it is a stretch cap wig, (like Monique Gold, or Jpop) I buy her a size 8-9. These DT girls have such big noggins.
And everyone, please more pictures!! I am dying to see more Momo's on the board.

    53. I just love the 5yr fresh skin body, but don't like the heads...
Can somebody please tell me where can I find some heads to match the body :(

    54. congrats! you will love the Elf body it is so lovely. i dress mine in standard MSD and SD clothing. it just depends on the style and the look that you want. MSD will fit close, and SD baggy obviously, i just use trial and error with the things i already have.

this is an SD dress,on the Elf body the corset pulls it in so it fits nicely, and the pantaloons have elastic so they fit as well:

this is an MSD dress and sweater over SD crop jeans on the Elf body, the dress fits perfectly, the jeans are baggy:

    55. Can't wait to see all of the new Momos! Carla, your Mara is just beautiful, as are all the gorgeous clothes you make that lucky girl, and Daisy Mae looks like she will be a handful!
As for the Elf body, I also found that many items made to fit the Peakswoods SD dolls fit her very well, also alot of the Dollheart SD clothing fits, (though not all). I suspect some of the Luts Delf girl clothing may fit, if the top isn't too busty, and lots of Musedoll clothes work as well. Musedoll and most Luts Delf shoes fit perfectly, by the way, though not boots--the Dollstown ankles are so fat.

    56. Hey Guys!.......About the Momo head on the Elf body...it works and looks fine! I thought at first that the 'gap' between the neck and head would be a problem, but this 'gap' forms even on the 5 and 7 bodies too!....Momo has a smaller neck cavity that makes her head 'shift' on the necks a bit........

TreeLore.......I have put Seola 7 on the Elf body and she fits and looks great! also Mari works too! .http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240399.......here's Mari on the Elf body......

(my Mari has gone to live with Ravendolls).....

    57. :celebrate My girl arrived today! She is stunningly beautiful.:aheartbea A huge thanks to Zouzou who let me adopt her.
But she's a bit of a madam, she's demanding a new wig (the one she came with just wont stay on her nogging) and new shoes, cause the one's I orders dont match her dress.:doh

At least she told me her name, Esmeralda, Esme for short. It has to be the quickest naming ever, right out of the box.

If I can ask the experts please? What size wig does she take? I'm thinking 8-9.
