Hello! It's kind of nifty to be invited to do some beta testing for this forum :0c I never got access to the original joint forum so it'll be a first time experience. Thoughts: Acanthus is a false god that's supposed to tower over everyone even without counting his horns and facing him in his throne room definitely plays like a dark souls fight. He's big and imposing and I definitely wanted to capture a sense of elegance with his anatomy. For stability reasons, I'm considering having an interchangeable chest part with 2 or 4 arm versions. I am debating between 75cm and 80cm since 75cm might still fit soom ID75 clothes but 80cm would be his character height. Spoiler: Concept Art
Sculpting Originally, I wanted to just sculpt 'his' head since he's spun off from another design of mine so they have the same face but it was for a much thicker build to use the dollshe 28M body. This was my first time sculpting so I didn't know what i was doing haha. Spoiler: Sovereign I realized later on that I'd love to have acanthus himself in full black resin and his stupid multi arms so I started working on him: Spoiler: Acanthus And then somewhere down the line I started trying to pick up Zbrush Spoiler: Zbrush Not going to be used but I had made a statuette version for my desk so I can inspect his anatomy in person Aaaaaand without spoilers, here's a digital mock up of my idiot boy
He looks amazing! I love his concept The golden parts on his arms would look really cool in transparent resin, especially against the black :0
Whoa thanks guys! Rn I'm actually taking a break from sculpting right now to save for a 3D printer and to study anatomy more so I can push my realism and understanding before i start cutting it up for joints haha. @BillyIsASilly Actually, I'm actually thinking of doing it in pure black resin and gold leafed (24k) in the end lmao. Transparent resin doesn't quite have the quality I want for this character lmao especially since his blood is the color of liquid gold/maybe a molten gold affect haha and i wanna carry the motif throughout
