8/6/09 - 8/8/09: Dolly Limericks

Ooh, a chance for silly poetry to be rewarding! A fun challenge, and what a wonderful prize Brennil has donated.

Just one question; it says "your limerick should be sent by ...". Does this mean we should only choose our favourite limerick to send in, or can we include several in the PM?

 

Each member may send one limerick. Choose your very best and send that one to the DoADaily account.

 

Thanks for the clarification, I thought that would be the case but wanted to make sure.

Hmm... I know what my favourite is at the moment, but I'll leave myself the rest of the day to be inspired. Looking forward to seeing everybody's entries!

 

Just as an aside, I also got this outfit onto my MNF muscular boy, my Unoa boy and my Narin! It's a bit tighter, but everything stretches.

Hm... am well aware this makes me sound like a snob, but do the lines have to be in anapaestic/amphibrachic meter?

It doesn't have to be in any specific meter, but of course a naturally rhythmic limerick is going to get more votes.

It ends at 4:30pm August 6th, which is TODAY. You still have almost 12 hours to enter.

 

I resent it because I forgot to add a title.

 

I've sent one-in LOL I think it will get this as a reaction...

I don't have a title either. I don't think that matters though.

 

Most limericks don't have titles. Don't worry about including one.

Sent mine this morning... it's not great but I had a lot of fun making it up, so it was worth it! I'm so excited to read all the entries! We have a lot of very clever writers here on DoA so I think it'll be an interesting read.

Just discovered this contest about 11am today at work -- crafting up an entry certainly made my work day go by much less boringly than it usually does!

 

Haha, I joined in too, couldn't resist, hopefully someone will get a laugh from mine! Can't wait to see the entries! xD

 

I can't wait to read what others came up with. I don't know if mine was any good, but it made me chuckle.

I LOVE love love that HDS outfit! Gabriel is my fave in that film. Yea for androgyny. lol

 

I really like the outfit too. I love writing limericks but I couldn't come up with anything for an entry. I think I don't know enough about the dolls yet.

PS - Have you seen Orlando, based on the book by Virginia Wolfe? It's got Tilda Swinton in it (same lady who plays Gabriel) and if you like androgyny... you'd probably really like that film. I loved it!

Congrats, Righteous_Ruin! There's a pretty good chance that the outfit will fit your DZ boy, all the fabrics are very stretchy. If it does, I would love to see pics.
