8/12-8/14: Little Art Contest

Just out of curiosity, how many times can we enter? Can we do a pic for each of our dolls if we so choose? [If this was stated somewhere, LOL sorry, didn't see.]

Is there a preferred size for the entries to be submitted at? Or as long as it isn't stupidly huge or teeny tiny it should be ok?

What is the size different between a SD13 doll head and an MSD doll head?
Roughly what are the shipping costs going to be?

 

do the dolls have to be obvious dolls? meaning joints showing?

 

No size restriction.... but we're asking that pics be big enough to see what's going on, but small enough not to stretch anyone's screen.

Shipping is probably around $5 for priority within the US. Beyond that, I have no idea.

They should be recognizable as dolls.

 

awesome. if we did a comic strip, could we throw in a panel with a chibified version of our doll (with joints)?

If you're asking about the head size for the jewelry set, as this is made for an SD sized head, it would be too large for an MSD. Sorry!

Oh okies thanks, if there was only a bit of difference i figured the elf ears would keep it on, but if it is way to big then it is too bad. Oh well ^^

Sorry, This question is pretty unimportant, but are we to submit a link of the doll the picture is based on? or does it not matter, as long as it looks like a doll?

The image I've already created since yesterday is really rather large... Is it alright to provide a thumbnail image for the DOA page that links to the real image, or should I scrap this idea and start over?

 

Well...you could always reduce the size before you send it to us?

 

Do you have an art program? Like photo shop, or even paint? A lot of them can re-size. Of if the whole thing is traditional just re-scan it in and change the settings on your scanner.

 

Is it all right if its not colored?

 

Question: can we use a picture of the image instead of a scanned image of the... image? I'm not sure I'll be able to dig out the scanner from the closet and I actually finished the pic!

 

The image doesn't have to be colored, nope!

And as long as the image is very clear when you take a photo of it, that's fine.

This is more about cleverness and creativity, rather than just straight drawing skills.

How short is a short comic? Is one page ok?

 

I figured that, but if I resize it any smaller it'll be impossible to tell what's what in the image ^^a;

My friend lied to me! She said EST was 2 hours ahead of us. Which means I didn't have to rush and could have been working on my entry for another hour. I could have gotten the stupid scanner to work by then if I'd known. Ah, well. Still got it done. ^_^

I absolutely loved #10, too! There are so many people on here who did beautiful drawings.

 

That was a very difficult choice to narrow it down to just one. I really liked them all for many different reasons. So many talented folks on DoA.

 

So many cute entries! Its going to be hard to decide. And they'd missed one! Now I have to decide all over again. ^_^

I thought for sure it said the max image size was 400x600, so I shrunk mine.

I guess I still had the Flight contest entry size on my mind, and now that I see how small this entry is... GAH! *headdesk*
