5th motif joint cushions

    1. hiya all!

      so i have my Venitu here who needs to be restrung and i noticed that some of his joint cushions are missing- the little silicone inserts- in his shoulder joint, in his hip joints. i bought him second hand and i wish i noticed earlier. Anyone have any ideas where i can buy replacements or even make my own?

    3. Oh yes, thank you!! Thankfully, I have quite a few of my dolls with the round kips, but this 5th motif body is different; it has rectangular pieces of different lengths and widths. I'll try to upload a picture to see if that would help!

    9. You could probably get a silicone sheet (or some liquid silicone to make your own) and cut rectangles from there for replacement. Alternatively, you could also just fill the spaces with hot glue, it'd work just as well for sueding.

    10. You can also "cast" yourself new ones with 100% silicone caulk. This works well to for silicone pieces in joints which aren't kips (silicone washers) because they can be hard to find replacements for. The silicone does not harm the resin as it cures and it can actually pop out afterward...so you may need to glue it later.
