He’s so charming! Love to see more pictures of him!

 

Yay, my Imgur works again! I got new eyes for Carol and edited his faceup for the tiniest bit once more, and he finally looks like I want him to. The freckles on his 5 years old faceup were such hard to mimic, because back then I think I just did them with pure luck. The eyes are actually pure orange, all the way to the pupil, but they have a fun quality of looking beige or even green in some light conditions. I like it, because outside the doll shell too his character's eyes glow more orange sometimes when he's very powerful, and sometimes he looks almost human.

Now all that is left to do is condition his wig to get his magnificent curls back all the way. Maybe a little dye refresh while I'm at it.

@eunni @Grimalkin Thank you both! I cannot take full credit though, his faceup beneath all those edited layers was done by PauliAnne. Intially he had a faceup by me, but it was my 3rd attempt at a faceup or something like that, and a refresh was due. It took me 2 years to get him looking just right, and I swear I'll scream if I accidentally damage the faceup some day.

 

Ahhh he's absolutely stunning! Definitely one of my favourite Venitus out there.

Had a wild experience of helping my partner clean their closet out and discovered this boy!

Don’t know how he ended up there when his body is in my room. Any ideas of what I should make him into?

 

I don't know if everyone else knew this and I just wasn't in the loop, but according to his FB, Mr. Cho is going to open up in-stock purchases of both Venitu and Goohwa heads and the hand sets. I'm going to try and get a Venitu head, I've wanted one since I first looked into the hobby as a teen, but gave up cause of the price and how limited they were. No word on when bodies or full dolls might be available but I imagine he'll try his best if these in-stock purchases do well.

 

I saw that! I'm quite excited as I'd love to snag a second (or third) Venitu head sometime in the future. Fingers crossed the preorders do well for him and there's enough interest that he can keep them available for a while.

 

The engagement on his FB posts seem positive (don't know about IG, or if he even has one, I gave up when they got rid of the hashtag sorting) so I think it's looking positive! I really only need the one head, I'll have to look around at budget-friendly hybrid options (I'm hoping he can fit on the Akagidoll 72cm boy body alright)

Since I'm new here, does anyone know folks that still make neck donuts to help with hybrids? I'd like to know where I can get those just in case I need them.

 

I’ve been wanting a Venitu since I discovered the hobby. May have to actually get a Facebook for this! So exciting!

 

Mr. Cho does have instagram.

Venitu might require a custom made neck donut just due to the shape and attatchment style of his head. Though, in the comments, someone had mentioned changing the head to fit other bodies and I think he said he'd consider it. (If my memory is right)

 

I would love to get a hands set! And possibly a second Venitu head so that I can mod it to have closed eyes to go with my main guy. I just love how expressive the hands are and had previous to this announcement resigned to never owning them.

I have a handset which I adore although I rarely use them. But when I do, I am very happy to have them. When you look at his profile, there’s a link to a YouTube channel with videos modeling uses of the hands! Just discovered them this week. He tells me he’s happy to see how I use them (like he hoped we would).

 

Ohhhhh, modding a head. Dang it, that's a great idea! I could make a winking head for Victor....

I believe he mentioned he'd be willing to do a hand set again in the future if the heads go well. So my fingers are crossed for you!

 

Well never does not mean never! He has released Venitu and Goohwa heads and they are already up and selling on BJDivas. Going with another company for casting as he is not using Dollshe for obvious reasons. They are not limited either and you can also order by email. I am very tempted to get another Venitu in oriental pale type colouring.

By the sounds of things he's looking to release them more often in the future too! Which I'm super pumped about because I'd love to get one to modify it into a sleeping head for Pariah.

what other heads fit on the timeless body.

 

Not too many afaik, the top of the neck has a mushroom sort of shape, so some heads tend to perch on top strangely. But I'm also not up to date with newer sculpts out there so there's probably a few more that can be added to the list for potential hybrids?

 

I recall Yicen Chong Lin looking pretty nice.

 

Older Twigling Eloy heads also fit the timeless body. I remember other heads were designed for the body too, but I can’t recall which just off the top of my head

Looks like 5th Motif has found a caster for their dolls! Hopefully we’ll see a Venitu rerelease in the near future….

 

At the moment it's just looking like heads and hands, but it would be awesome to have full dolls again. Super glad Mr Cho is still taking orders. I keep thinking about a second Venitu.

 

hello, I've purchased a Venitu head and a pair of phone hands but I don't own any doll of similar size.....it seems to be an in-stock sell so probably he will arrive soon (if not influenced by the JO)omg

 

In stock? If you bought it from Mr Cho directly then the heads and hands are preorder. If you bought from BJDivas then you should be in for a short wait.

 

Thank you for the information. Actually I don't know……Mr Cho has posted on facebook about the new casting company and orders yesterday, and there is a google form updating the stock. It's ok if it's a preorder, since it's better to wait than paying the price in the second hand market to buy an old head.

I also purchased a Venitu Head yesterday and Mr Cho said in email when he confirmed my payment that he will ship next week, so I'm pretty sure this was an in stock sale.

Nice to hear more Venitu possibilities are coming. All the heads on BJDivas are sold out...so maybe that will encourage Mr. Cho to do...more.

@karlyl Ooh, what colour did you order? I want to place an order with Mr Cho, but I'm torn over "Fresh", "Oriental" or "more pink than Oriental".
I have a Saint head in "Fresh" and another in "Copper Oriental" (which is too dark for the character, sadly), but I feel like "Fresh" is too pale, so I'm very torn

@luluna Ohh he is so handsome! I love his jacket, something very regal about it

 

@Alchemist's Fire I got color 3 which is the "Close to Oriental" color -- I have a DS Pabo in fresh skin and I actually love that shade too, personally. It's just pale enough for me. Fingers crossed you find the color you want!

 

Anyone here order from the most recent head drop announcement? I finally snagged myself a Venitu! He also mentioned that this would be the last Goohwa for a long while due to the upcoming new doll.

 

I’m so excited for his new boy. I saw he was asking about different head types on IG. I wonder if he’ll end up making an elf or Vampire head like in the suggestions.

I'm battling with myself because I shouldn't buy another floating head, I have so many unfinished hybrids and blank heads, but it's Venitu...

 

Omg! I just got my tracking number! I'm so excited!!! And it shipped before Christmas! I wonder if it will make it in time, lol!

I ordered mine in the "fresh" because I'm still not sure what body I'll be getting him and personal experience is that it is sooooo much easier to color match to darker than lighter. But I was super interested in that 3A color! I hope someone did nab one and is willing to share when they get theirs!

 

Oh I've had him since August! I am "patiently" waiting on the new doll from Mr Cho, hoping that the Venitu head will fit the body (and that the body will be offered seperately) -- I'm also swimming in floating heads and new nekkid dolls right now lol I'm trying to catch up with my dolly backlog by 2026 or so lol But I will see if he matches any dolls I currently have!
