@Quiet and Insane sorry to hear you've been so busy! I'd love to see them, if you ever have a moment. I hope the next order is soon! (I'm waiting for oriental, which seems limited-y?)

 

Here you go! They're pale tan. Oriental is probably one of the most popular of the colours (the others being fresh and copper oriental), and I do believe it's these three that are the ones available for regular sale, other colours must be specially ordered.

Such interesting shapes! They remind me of playing the piano- I wonder how much practical use they will have. Still, I love the sculpting! I get the impression the hands are supposed to be non-limited, regular sale, too- but they're marked as sold out. I'll have to ask bjdivas what the status is.

 

I for one plan to reshape a couple of mine from set as none I see can hold a cup or be safe from damage so will alter especially the really spread out fingers. That is if my method works.

Did you fill out the information in the sheet on his FB site? Did he contact you when the hands were ready?
It’s just I filled out that document when he posted it for hands in avatar blue and caramel brown, but I have not heard anything.

 

I ordered a hand set from BJDivas recently (they still have the order up for the not-in-stock colors). They said that you can make the order, but Mr. Cho is waiting on Dollshe to cast, so he's not sure when next hands will go out if you order now.

 

@animemom that's an interesting idea! I honestly hadn't considered adjusting the fingers. Do you plan to just heat the resin and gently bend them? I did this (accidentally) with a resin piece once... it was left in the oven to dry, maybe at about 100-120*f.

 

I use the hot water method having forceps and a tea towel to slowly bend fingers then hold until resin cools. I plan to take before and after photos when I do it.

 

He filled it out for me, and then contacted me when they were ready.

 

My Venitu head is home and all done. Except in my excitement in putting his eyes in I seemed to have popped off his eyelash. Luckily DIL who did face up will swing by one night after work and fix it. But so wanted to share my red headed guy. Meet Stone.

Has anyone tried the new gesture hands on a Dollshe Rhythmos body? I have my Venitu on that body and I've been thinking about ordering the hand set at some point, but I'm not sure if they'll look too big.

 

@animemom - He looks great! Bummer about the eyelash, they're so frustrating at times.

And to add to the thread: Pariah got a new wig! I'm absolutely in love with it. Though I will admit him wearing something with colour is a little shocking.

dollshe venitu comparison - 2

 

Hey there guys! This might have already been said or discussed but if so, I did not see it but does anyone perhaps have a IOS 80cm body and a venitu head they can check compatibility with? I've seen a few other bodies that are nice but this one intrigues me the highest! (I like big dolls and I cannot lie.) Thanks in advance! All other hybrid Recommendations are welcome as well!

Flickr is so useful for comparisons! It's pretty much my "go to" to find resin comparisons, height comparisons, etc. Sometimes it takes several different searches, but often you can find just what you're looking for.

Hi everyone, I'm so glad that my Enzo (Venitu) and my Wynn (goohwa) are back from faceup and I had a chance to take pic for both of them.



As for Wynn, it's hard to find a suit that fits him properly, so he stole Enzo's outfit.

Well I've had this boy for over a year and a half (ordered from the lovely BJDivas)...and finally got a faceup for him (by SDink). Stringing him was an adventure and good upper body workout too. LOL

But I an anxious to finally have a Venitu ready to share. Please meet Ingram Eyre.

Ingram Eyre is the perfect name for him. He looks so regal in his uniform and dress whites. Great photo and I do love his faceup. Well worth the wait, Congrats.

 

@animemom and @oriscany - Thanks so much! I'm so thrilled to have him come together. And for the record he took so long to become finished because of me...not SDink. I had him in the box all apart and just didn't get to him for ages...then I had an opportunity to get a faceup and I dug him up to get it done.

The outfit (From SartorialJ) I've had awhile...but wasn't sure who would get it...but it all came together including his name which I thought up about two weeks ago.

I've a question, please. What shoes fit Venitu big feet ? Mine is still barefoot.

 

Wow, he's really good looking. I just placed an order on Saint, and now I want Venitu too. Its really sad that he is discontinued!!!

 

I bought all my dress shoes and boots from Blue Blood Doll on eBay. The sneakers I bought from I believe Alice Collection's.

 

Ooh, shoes are a hard one for me too! Each pair of shoes Victor has are from a different company and they were more lucky exceptions than the rule, I think. But I've found shoes at Dollmore, Volks, Freedom Teller, and Rrabit for some possible ideas. I just check all the measurements obsessively whenever I try to find him shoes.

So I finished my layaway with BJDivas last month, and today I got an email saying that my Venitu has shipped. I wasn't expecting so soon! This is my first 70cm doll, so it'll be interesting to see how he stacks up next to my other dolls, especially since most of my collection is vinyl.

 

@Gab_Is_Dumb - Oh congratulations! That was fast. He's a big guy, but I'm sure you'll love him.

 

Congrats @Gab_Is_Dumb I love my boys. I have seen photos of these guys with the Volks vinyl dolls and Smart Dolls and they look fine.

@Nexus Not sure if you're still in need but i can check compatibility with IOS Class80 body for you, i have also IOS Class70 if you could find interesting the compatibility.
Main issue with 5th Motif heads is neck hole which is very deep and shaped like human skull, more less something that you could find on action figure 1/6 scale heads, so isn't just a matters of proportions and head size, like head circumference, but mainly of how much space there's in neck hole, not sure if make sense

My two Venitus finally got to go outside.

 

I haven´t been able to snatch the new Fifth Motif hands... Those were sold out so fast on BJDivas website. Will there be new sales ? I really want to grab those >.<

Also I did not share picture of my Venitu for a long time. I don´t take many pictures but I really love this doll.

 

@animemom - Ooh fun, a day out! I hope they enjoyed exploring.

@Sjota - I do think there will be more sales, though there's a good chance they're just catching up on orders at the moment. Perhaps ask @BJDivas for a more accurate idea of what's going on? Your Venitu is absolutely stunning! I love his freckles and the colour of his wig.

 

This in my front yard which is over a half acre. We have close to five. I might take one at a time to pasture for photos before it gets to buggy out.

Hi everyone! Regarding the hand sets, Mr. Cho definitely plans on selling more, there's just been delay after delay getting them from Dollshe's casting center so he hasn't had a chance to build up a stock of them. We'll announce when they're available again.

 

I just want to share these photos I took of my Goohwa on a Dollshe 28M body with a Demiurge Dolls neck donut.
I like how it looks (before the neck was too short imo) and I think it adds a lot more movability to the neck. And I really appreciate the neck donut is not usually visible.

 

Does Demiurge sell this alone?

 

I don't know, I haven't asked. I have a few of the neck donuts at home that I received with other heads.

Oh -Really like the Demiurge Dolls neck donut. I need to check DoA more often - have been to busy in the Garden and missing good ideas and lovely dolls.

 

I have to squeeze some time one day and share my two new additions. They are both blank, but one has a body, while the other is going to be the meditation head for Hyun, my Goohwa. I think three of these guys are enough; for now.

 

Meet Sterling. He is Stone's soon to be twin brother. But he'll be his own guy and have his own look. Just eyes will be safe and they both will be red heads. Sterling will be a while as DIL broke her foot 2 months ago and healing process has been slow. Soon as she has some other face ups done this guy is one of two that is next.

I was so lucky that this floating head got a Fifth Motif body thanks to a second Goohwa shipped to me. I decided the head could be a different face for Hyun and the body could be for Sterling.

 

I am so happy that I could snatch a Venitu head in oriental second hand. Just looked inside the box to prove if the CoA is there and if the sending damaged the head (luckily nothing happened) next week he will sent out to his face up artist *-*

 

Does anyone have both a Fifth Motif guy and a Fairyland Feeple girl? I am trying to figure out if a Feeple would make a good girlfriend for my one guy or would she look to tiny next to him.
Thanks for photo in advance, and if anyone wants to share their boys with girlfriend's I would love to see.

I think they look good together!
I added the faceplate so you could see eye sizes next to each other. Sorry I didn't change the faceplate...but I sorta dread changing her faceplate...
They are both wearing 14mm eyes, but Victor's are small iris.
Tried to line up their feet so they are level with each other for you. She is in heels.
His head is a bit bigger compared to hers, but nothing crazy?

Has anyone heard anything about the new 5th Motif hands? Every time I check bjdivas they are sold out. I thought they were supposed to be available in limited quantities each month. Do you have to get on a waiting list or something?
