The color and style suit him, but agree that it needs to be trimmed up a bit . I really like him in tan the more I see him. Quintus really is a beautiful sculpt and you wouldn't be sorry if you decide to purchase one.

 

Wow, I was leaning toward a girl character, but Quintus makes a really cute boy. Your Angel such a handsome little fellow!!! I'm such a sucker for vampires, haha! Are they brother and sister?


So I gave William's hair a tiny trim, I'm just so hesitant. I put aloe-vera gel in it to define the curls better and maybe help promote some shrinkage. Also, his 13mm masterpiece eyes came in! I'm in love with them, they defiantly added a sort of realism to him, and helped him look less of a goblin, haha.

So many cuties... Hi there! I've been meaning to come out of hiding for a while, but I guess I was prompted by seeing so many of your new littles. I wanted to ask which Star10 body most of you have? I've had an Amy for years, she's blank (still) because she was a gift with my Tumnus (to give you an idea of her age!) and I love her but I've never quite liked her tiny hands. But yours all look so cute, I've been tempted to ask 5star whether I could order just the hands from a Star10 body to put on my little pre-Star body or whether I should just buy a whole new body for her. She's on the old Tiny body with the three-part torso.

Amy is such a cute sculpt - I like the new body with the larger hands, but that is just a personal preference. I have both and the smaller hands really don't bother me that much. 5Star is very accommodating and I wouldn't be surprised if they let you order just the hands - you may want to ask them if they will fit properly on the older body. Glad you came out of hiding. Hope to see you post more.

And thanks, @Merlin's Mom and @Rabbit-moon! I do think I'll try asking about the hands, I love the Tiny body otherwise but I've just always been bothered by the hands, personally. I had the same issue with the too-small hands on my Super boys, ended up replacing those with hands from other companies before the new Star20s were released.

I really need to give my Amy a face-up, but it wasn't that long ago that I wanted her to be a redhead like her mother and then I tried that short blonde wig on her and it was just too cute... Hopefully that's her final wig and I can base her colouring on that.

 

Aw they look so cute! Your Amy looks so cozy and her wig color loooks amazing on her. The little one stole my heart too. Baby blues are my weakness and the boots just look so cute!

Brantley (changed his him, since learning Willie means something different in UK) decided to steal his sister's wig for a picture. To bad his unruly khaki hair color is canon .


On other notes, now that I got to play around with the new body, I'm disappointed. It's nearly impossible to have him sit since his body is arched backwards. I don't like using the little lip in his back because it looks kinda thin. Also the posing is very very limited. Atleast it's cute to look at... even though he's always wearing clothes...

 

Geo-Earthing he is so adorably cute it makes up for his limited mobility. I love him in the tan color.

 

Yea they put him on the new generation 26cm body. But, thanks guys, maybe hot glue sueding would help alot? Has anyone tried it? I'll do it over the weekend when I have time. Fingers crossed!

I finally decided a name for my poor faceless Bat Boy - he seems to like Bastian. I am still contemplating trying a basic face up, but will give him eye lashes for sure if nothing else. He found a motor cycle jacket in my stash of clothes and seems quite happy with it. I think I took it off a Harley Davidson bear at some time.

 

I really do like him, just wish they would have let me know he was being sent as the gift and given me the option for a face up. I am leary of trying to do one myself, but the poor baby needs something. He fits right in with Hester, Puck and Prudy.

 

I actually have to try and fit the seuding in next weekend. Too busy

I LOVE that name for him! The bat boy is such a cute cute sculpt. Almost like a kid who got put in time-out haha. Good luck with the face-up if you do it!

I was looking at Denver dolls and I never realized before there were 2 body types for the star10 dolls could someone explain the difference for me? Thanks a bunch

 

A is older and has 3 pieces torso and probably double jointed, I may be wrong. B is newer version and two pieces torso and most likely single jointed. Take another closer look at the picture, you can see the torso are different.
I have 5stardoll SD and MSD, the older body is not very well engineered but the newer ones are improved. The MSD used to be double jointed but changed to single jointed with new body.
Ordering from 5Stardoll straight would be more advised due to faster shipping time and if you're in America, the shipping fee would most likely be included in the price.
I never ordered thru DDE and do not know how it works but assumes you have to pay the shipping fee from them to your house.
I ordered from 5SD 3 times and never had to pay shipping fee and I live in Alaska.

OMG - just went to look - Love Anna and Peter, but it appears there is now only one body for the Star5 and the Star10 dolls. The new generation for the Star5 (which is single jointed) and the 2 part torso for the Star10 which is the one with the smaller hands I think. I wonder if they did that to keep costs down. Peter is just too adorable and I am still hoping to get Tong Tong and Bibi.

Edit - just went back to the site and unfortunately they are not offering all the different resin colors either - just normal and white for the standard dolls - looks like Aiden Family still comes in different resin colors though. I was hoping to get Bibi in tan - oh well

 

I checked out the new site. Not too happy that my account that I've had with them for years is no longer there but it does appear that this new site is a work in progress. Very bare bones right now. Let's hope things improve.

 

Wow, I was just on their site yesterday or the day before. So different!

They've always been very receptive to personal requests for resin colors. I hope they still are. I have more tans and greys than white and normal.

Yes they are having a special going and I guess there will be a free doll for a certain amount, but no photo of the free doll yet. I hope the site is still a work in progress and they will add the other bodies and resin colors. For now I think I will wait and see.

 

I love 5stardoll tinies! I own aiden5 hope I can get an aiden body for another doll sometime!

I am agreeing with you Rabbit-moon - a heads up would be really nice. I may not be ordering any new dolls from them - I think Anna and Peter are very cute, but I would want the original body and not the new generation body. I will have to think about Bibi and Tong Tong.

 

Miss S looks very small. She takes 8mm eyes. I wish 5stardoll would let us know when they're changing everything. They did that a couple of years ago after the summer event. A bunch of dolls disappeared with no notice. I regret not putting in a big order that summer........

 

Love the new dolls, Anna seems a little Sister to Amy, she is really cute!! But I am not sure about New body, I love my Vivian but I don't know if I will buy another one.

 

I was also thinking of getting Jesse as a girl to go with Hester - I am very disappointed in 5Star right now. I also am not impressed with MissS, but then the outfit they have her in is ugly and she may be cuter in an appropriate outfit.

 

Is the faceup and sculpt for the special release Nancy and the regular Nancy the same? The pictures have different resin colours and wigs and lighting but are they the same?

 

I have both and they appear to be the same. I think Nancy is one of the prettier dolls with more of a smile and not dower look to her.

Edit - oops my mistake both of mine are the special release Nancy - her face up is more gentle looking than the basic release. Sorry for the error.

I don't have one in her original outfit and I am not the best photographer, but hopefully this helps - this one is white skin. Photobucket is being a pain - I really need to go add free!

 

Rabbit-moon I am still hoping to get Bibi in tan and probably still Tong Tong in normal. I am wondering what is going on with them though due to the huge cut back in bodies and resin colors. Will see what happens after the event is over.

 

I think maybe I should get one on Denver doll with the old body and get Nancy later on does anyone have some pictures of the regular Nancy and Amy? I'd like to compare them
