I have Amy along with her default outfit. I am getting Kathy with her default outfit. Then this summer, I will get another 5Star tiny at UFDC this summer. I've no idea who it will be, I just hope she will elf ears, although I kind of doubt she will.

Just got an A body for my Quintus head. It poses so well, why did 5stardoll get rid of the A body?

 

Hi everyone! Wow, your dolls are all so cool! I really like Quintus as a girl- very cute. I had a Tong Tong that I had to sell when my car broke down. I regretted it almost immediately because she was my favorite doll. I ended up ordering another from DDE in February and she came in last week. I don't have a name for her yet but I'm thinking Eva or Edith. She's a vampire that was turned in Victorian times. Right now she has a very basic faceup because I'm not so good at it, but a friend of mine is going to give her a better one. She came with a pretty pair of 14mm eyes, but the irises were a little big so I got some 12mm and they look perfect.

Here she is! I re-sized the photo, but it's still showing up pretty large. Can a mod shrink it a little please?

I have this slight feeling that 5stardoll gets a bad rep. Does anyone else feel like that?

 

I'm dying to see how other people dress and mod their dolls. I'm waiting on an order from 5*Doll I placed in December and it still hasn't come in. Can I get some Amy or Todd spam if people don't mind?

 

December? That's kinda crazy have you been in contact with them? I feel like 6 months is quite a long time!(well for 5stardoll)

 

There is a 5stardoll tiny in the sales thread that was ordered in January that just recently arrived. Since you ordered in December you should email 5stardoll and find out what's going on, sounds like they're far behind but you should be at the top of the list.

 

Hey, I just got them today! I ordered through DDE and it's a good thing I did! It turns out the first batch they sent me was incorrect. They only got 1 doll out of 4 right. The hold up was the time it took them to remake the dolls. Their COA says they were "born" May 21st. I'm absolutely in love w/my little Amy. Can't wait till she gets her face up

Finally!!! 5stardoll started their Summer Event - July 3rd through August 3rd.

 

YAY for the summer event! I'm doomed!

I just ordered a Tong Tong and another Amy! So I will have 2 Amy boys (one yellow and one tan), and a Tong Tong girl (who will be a tomboy) and some outfits and accessories.

Has anyone taken a good look at the twin event heads? Are they tiny sized and have they offered event heads like this before? I've never seen any pictures of anything like this.

I'd love to have both of those fantasy heads but that's a lot of money to spend to get them. I am now going to wander off and pout a lot.

My hand is still hovering over the order button. I do really want those Twin heads, but... 449 is quite a commitment. I've been dying to get my hands on Amy for a while now too, so it wouldn't be a hardship to get her and her accessories, but that's the eternal debate of a doll lover. I'll probably waffle a few more days before I cave in, we'll see. I swear I'm starting a li'l demon kindergarten over here.

Heads up--it appears someone is selling recast Amys on Ebay, according to a news item at the 5Star site (what, 5Star isn't inexpensive enough? Seriously?!).

I'm really dithering on the summer event. I want another Aiden, maybe in gray. I also want to see what the new Super sized boy body looks like, as I'm tempted to get an Angelo. But I'm getting ready to go on a trip, and I'm trying to save money for shopping while out of state. Decisions, decisions....

 

^ Seriously people...5Star too?! This just breaks my heart! I had crappy luck with YOSD sized dolls until I discovered 5Star (I think 30cm is just PERFECT for me for this size range). I LOVE my Amy boy so much I ordered another one during the summer event.

Does anyone have some TongTong spam? I was doing a google/flickr search and I still can't get enough of this kid! I have a TongTong on order as well and I'm wondering if I should have her and my Amy boy switch bodies or not.

 

I can't believe someone would buy a recast that costs the same as from the company! I poked around ebay to report the seller but I don't know how to do it. Anyone ever reported an ebay seller before for selling recast?

I'm with you on the size guls207. Even though they can be a pain to dress I really like the size of the 5stardoll tinies. Now that I've started sewing more I'm even more happy with them. They just seem like the right size for me and they make my honey delf seem so small.

I had given up on the summer event since I was expecting them to post it in May and start running it in June so now I don't know what I want to do. Then, I saw the twin event heads and I'm even more torn.

What to do, what to do.......

 

awww I love the summer event heads! T_T so bad that they are only available if you spent more than $449... I don't think I could even reach the $299 event

$449.00 just to get those little heads. Can't really justify that in the budget. I just want to order the heads and some bodies to match. Maybe if we begged nicely they'd sell them to us. I mean I've only got eight 5Star yosds already, doesn't that qualify me to buy special things? Hmmm? Maybe? I really am going to pout, a lot, about these heads.

 

Thanks guys for the TongTong spam! I'm still not sure about the gender but I did order a custom faceup so maybe once I see him/her in person I'll decide.

As for the $499 to get the heads, maybe throw in some clothes to help bring up the total amount? Or maybe ask if the event heads will be made available to order at a later date? I added a bunch of clothes in addition to a tiny body to qualify for the event. I just love dressing YOSD sized dolls in all sorts of different outfits! >_<

 

I have it all mathed out to 449, clothes eyes, shoes bodies. The debate is do I want to go ahead and buy Batboy too and bump it up to the 599 level, then I could get Quintus too and really have a Li'l Demon School. I mean look at these little trouble makers. They clearly need a structured environment, and new friends.

 

OMG I meant to comment on your boy but I was too busy drooling over him, then I forgot!. He is...AMAZING! I've been slightly tempted by the Aiden sculpt and seeing your boy is definitely making me crave a little gray one!

Your dolls are so cute (but yes they do seem like little troublemakers)! I think once my two other 5SDs arrive I'll be able to figure out who I'll want next.

 

It's so hard to decide, and really such a great price with events. Which is probably why I own so many of their dolls already. I really do want Amy, and Batboy, and Quintus, and those new Demon twins.

Can you tell I'm talking myself into this event? It's only a matter of time before I cave into a layaway.

LOL omg a Gary T-shirt! Tong Tong's paws are really cute, but I don't know if I'll receive them since I ordered the C-type body.

 

My Tong Tong has the C body and came with the paws. so I'm sure you'll get them. I really should put them on her one of these days.

and a little request, please: any of you who have 5SD tinies and "MSD" size dolls (any brand), do you know if it possible to put a 5SD tiny head on a mini body?

since my Aiden is very big compared with other "yosd" size doll and he has a 6.5cm neck I was wondering if I could put him on any taller body (but I don't own any msd size doll to try UxD)

 

Someone on here put her quintus on an MSD body, so yes it can work

Gothland, Add me to the list of folks admiring your Aiden. I don't have any dolls in grey skin (yet) but I've been eyeballing the twin event heads and trying to figure out what skin tone I would want. Now I'm thinking grey.

Well, as long as we're asking for spam........Does anyone have a photo of a 5star tiny next to a 5star mini? I would like to see the size difference.

Okay, so I went to 5 Star's website last night just to see if I could manage to spend 449.00 dollars or more to meet the requirements to get the two yosd heads. Two minutes later I had done it...so I emptied my cart and tried it again. I was stunned about how easy it was to reach that amount. I picked out a yosd I wanted, then a body for each of the 'free' heads, clothes and shoes for the 'free 1/4' doll, a couple pairs of eyes and some wigs and there it was $450 plus dollars....yeesh. So much for proving to myself that I couldn't find enough to buy. All I proved is it is all too easy for me to spend that and more.

No, I didn't buy anything. I took what would have been the down payment for the layaway and paid a bill instead. There are times when I truly hate being a responsible adult.

 

Aaaaw *virtual hugs* well the event is going on til August so you still should have time.

 

I can spend the $599 easily without a blink, except that I don't have it... So I know what you mean, Kelli!!! *virtual hugs*

I'm still debating about the $449. If I can get a free 1/6 instead of a free 1/4 doll, I might actually do it. I don't particularly care for any of their 1/4 at the moment... (Still have six MSDs that need clothes...)

 

Maybe you can ask Dennis if he's willing to send you a free tiny instead of MSD?

 

My Tong Tong's head is out getting a faceup, but I found this super cute dress for her! It's a Groovy Girls dress that I found at a local toy store. It needed a little bit of modding because the Groovy Girls are a little chunky. Basically I just added a snap to make it close tighter. Sorry for the big pic, I resized it on photobucket but it's still huge.

 

Hi! I just got a little Ria (will post a pic in the next few days when a get a dress made for her). I want to get her some jeans/overalls. Any help on what brands of ready-made clothes fit best would be great! Thanks!

I've decided to go for the 600 Level of the event, so I'm looking at 5 new tinies coming in I ordered Batboy, bodies for the twin heads, a body for the free head, Chose Amy, and chose Quintus for my free tiny. I also picked Nigel to be the older brother for Quintus and some eyes and wigs to round things out. I'd better star designing those school uniforms now.

 

That's just what I ended up doing - put a Q&A in to ask this very question. Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope it's OK, since a 1/6 is cheaper than the 1/4 they're offering...

Can't wait to see a group shot of all your 5SD kids once you have them all in, radient_blue! It's so easy to go up to the $600 level - I'm trying to be good and stick to the $450, though. I love your group - I think Angelo looks great in tan.

I currently have three - Batboy, Aiden and a Ria girl. With the twins and the Amy I want I will have six. There are still at least three or four I'd like to have, though... 5SD tinies are so addictive.
I also love almost all of the Supers, but none of the MSDs really strike my fancy and I already have too many other company MSDs that need clothes.

Far too easy to get to 600. I'm such a sucker for their summer events, I bought my first Doll through one and have bought something from every one since. I have 4 of their Supers, 4 of their Minis and 3 Tinies at home already. I really don't need more dolls but those Demon Twins were too tempting.

Eva came back from the spa this weekend. Her faceup looks nice, but one of the things I really like about the Tong Tong sculpt is the slightly puckered lips which didn't come through. I'm not crazy about her wig, either, but I'm glad she has a pretty face and that she's home.

 

Thank so very much everybody. This boy may be not only by little gentlemen.
