Oh wow we made it to a second thread

Is anyone else expecting any new tinies to come in? It seems like we've had a lot of new arrivals lately

 

I hope to place an order after their vacation sometime in February so it will be awhile before I get my doll order.

That's exciting Brook, at least you can post here during the wait to ask questions and see everyone else's arrivals! ^^ Took 10 weeks for mine to come home after ordering but somehow it flew by.

I want to buy a Tong Tong. I really like her face. It just looks like she's about to do pull a prank or do something naughty

I'm hoping I get something like green or blue eyes without pupils for random eyes as I don't really like pink at all. I'm going to ask if it's possible for her to come with the wig from the picture because that would be so awesome!

I'm not yet sure what to name her. I just know I want to make her a sort of chobits like character.

 

@Jigarkhvar; I hope they didn't forget about them.

@kimichan; I requested the wig and eyes I wanted for my Michelle so I'm sure that if you put it in the order comments, they can try to give you what you want! ^^
I love that about my Tong Tong too, I have her looking all sweet and innocent right now but then I pull up her wig a little to show her eyebrows and she's a whole other person. xDD

Yes, I was thinking that without her horns Rosa looked much more innocent that Tong Tong usually does...

You and every one else. I've got two of him even. I love how versitile Tong Tong's face is. I want to get a tiny girl but I still haven't decided if I want Tong Tong or Kathy.

Quick question for every one what size/brand wigs do you have on your littles. I have some 6/7 fur wigs but I notice 5star says they wear a 5/6.

Wigs and shoes and eyes so much shopping to be done for the little darlings. sigh

 

6-7 and even then some are too small. The head measurement for mine comes out to 6.7 inches. The wig that he came with from 5SD is too small.

 

I agree with Mintcake 6/7 is the size they should wear. My dolls have Leekeworld and Monique wigs.

@Mintcakes; She really does! I didn't quite expect myself to make her look that way (she's supposed to be very obnoxious) but for now I love how sweet she looks.

@Kelli; So many tinies!! Congrats! Avery looks really cool, I never paid much mind to Batboy on the site so I think I like owner pics better. I really like that Mikha has black hair and blue eyes, it's one of my favourite combos.

As for wigs, I'm a cheap soul and I like having a variety so for the kids in the picture below I picked up a few wigs at Kemper Dolls. http://www.kemperdolls.com/index.php
Avery/Batboy is wearing a Giselle Mohair 6/7 wig in carrot that cost me $7 and Mikah/TongTong is wearing a Connie in Black 6/7 that ran $5.65. In the same order I picked up a tiny 4/5 for my hujoo baby and a pink milk wig in 6/7, both were under five dollars a piece. The wigs all fit very well.
When I want to spend a little more I go to Facets by Marcia. She carries a lot of fine wigs in a multitude of sizes and has great customer service. http://www.facetsbymarcia.com/wigshop.htm

I'm waiting on a Quintus girl and on a Tong Tong girl, both with factory face-ups! I'll post some pics when I get them!

 

I asked the same thing when I first bought my TongTong. Mint on card was awesome about it and asked 5star for me and 5star told them that it was a wig they used simply for their promo pictures of TongTong therefore it could not be sold. I have been looking and looking and looking for that wig. I've found ones very similar to it in different colors (grey, and a darker brown) but they are made for MSD and SD dolls not Yo-sd.

 

Woo! My dolls are coming in!! In just a few days I'll have my first 5star! True, he'll be OT, but I'm still excited XD
Now I have to keep stalking this thread to find out what kind of clothes he's going to wear....

My boy is finally whole!
He was floating head 2 or 3 month... And some days ago he received a body!
This is Marcus Scipion Quintus (or "Tsypa", in Russian it means "little chicken"). He is little evil spirit (level 3). He is not bad or evil, but he is very elfin and roguish youngster. He loves jokes very much.


Whole photostory is >>HERE<< (sorry, only in Russian), but I write summary.
Tsypa wanted to joke above my boys, Reno and Roje. He pretended to be kawai and lulled the vigilance of Reno. When Reno thought they became friends, Tsypa kiss his cheek))
Roje was jealous and spanked this little naughty child.
Tsypa complained to Kyoya, but he was very glad to tease absolutely cold and bloodless Roje. What's a little brat)

re: Ordering times from 5 Star. I ordered Theo and my SD girls body from them at the end of November, and they came about January 15. The order was just blank dolls, though, so that may be why they came so fast--although I did order my BiBi boy in tan, rather than any of the normal colors.

Also, wigs: I put 5/6 Monique wigs on my 5Star tiny dolls; I find that 6/7s are just a bit too big for my tastes. In this picture, Pompey is wearing a 5/6 Monique wig. So the wig sizes most likely change with the different dolls, depending on their head shapes.

Here's my boy, Pompey, modeling the jeans he stole from Theo. He wasn't certain that the backside shot was necessary, but I assured him it was:



I used a Marley Wentworth pattern made for Victor Dreary. Because our kids are slightly larger, I cut a bit larger (just outside the pattern lines), and found out that no, I didn't need to make it that much bigger. Oh, well, I could alwyas make him some boxers and he could walk around with his pants hanging off his butt if he really wanted to be stylish. Nice thing is that he can sit down in them without Plumber's Butt problems.

So, next time, I will cut ON the pattern lines. I did, however, have to adjust the waistband to be a bit bigger, since their waists are about 1/2 cm larger than the Marley/Victor dolls. Still haven't finished the face up on Theo, my other 5 Star boy, and now he and Roxane (my TongTong) and Paia (BBB March) are yelling for THEIR pants to be finished. Oy!

 

nonniemous Pompey is adorable. I just know I've seen him somewhere in a uniform looking quite logical. And the TARDIS in the background just rocks.

The TARDIS is my USB hub. Makes noises and everything.

I was finally able to work on one of my vampire dolls, I had been having problems with my hand lately. Here she is, Luna with her twin Shadow. I don't know if I should change her eyes to match Shadow or the other way around or leave them how they are.

Mintcakes: That's bizarre! Tong Tong is going to be my first abjd, and I was thinking about just ordering one of the 5star's "tiny" wigs right away, until I can figure out her character in person. That way she isn't bald for a month or two. Now I'm rethinking about getting one of their wigs... Was your boys wig super tight, or still workable?

first i need to buy another wig...i like to have a darkbrown or black fur and also i need to airbrush the body so it matches the red skintone of the head - looks bit strange now
but i think they are cute together.

She's a Ray girl, super adorable!! Even with no face. Which I'm hoping to do sometime soon....

 

Ray makes a cute girl. I think most 5SD faces are easy to 'trans-gender', except possibly OT - I think it's because they all have this 'babyfat' look.

Lucky you getting one of the last red OTs. I was surprised they weren't sold out already, I'd expected them to go fast during the event.

They pose really well, I find them surprisingly sturdy and very stable. And the magnets hold up very well, too. Even my Batboys wings don't fall off unless I make a clumsy move when posing...

 

I thought he was sold out!, but I went to the website 2 weeks ago, they still had 8 left, so I ordered him, last I checked their are 7 sets left.


thanks everyone! I'm almost finish with Ria's (who I decided will stay as a boy) faceup, I'm thinking I'm might do all their faceups first than their outfits, to get things moving along.

Decided to take out my Mai head and put it on TongTong's body until I manage to get TongTong her face up. So, here is Mai holding court.

 

My grey Tong Tong came about two weeks ago and I got impatient and did her faceup the day she arrived.

 

Kelli I love your little OT. He has the exact same wig as my little OT, though mine only wears orange and red clothing(He's a fire imp) Can I ask where you found his shirt?
