Wait Times 5Stardoll Shipping/Production Delay?

I ordered a Super Star male 70cm body on 10/2019. There was a promotion/facility moving/covid going on at the time.

04/2020: Said they will ship "May...or so".
07/2020: Tells me they're all of a sudden making a NEW version of the body, and to wait another two months. Confused and shocked but kind of excited- I continue to wait.
10/2020: Throws the month of "December" at me, which is another failed date.
03/2021: Says something suspiciously similar to last year's "We must be able to ship your order on May."
06/07/2021: I receive a reply, "We will ship your order this month. The new male body is done. We will process your order lately."​

Today is 07/14/2021 and still a bunch of nothing from 5Stardoll. I usually wait a few extra months from said date to get sad... I do appreciate the company always replying kindly. Though I'd much rather have something more honest and realistic than what have been said. Really, if it's gonna take x years to make a doll, please just tell me it's going to take x years to make the doll. Then on top of that, tell me you're going to make a completely different one than I ordered, that it's a new version that hasn't even began production yet! I have asked about cancellation and refund in 04/2020 but they only agreed to 50%. The cost of the doll was very affordable and that was what was most attractive at the time. Getting to have this body was always just something to pique my curiosity. But I feel myself commit more and more, because I'm always the one having to ask about its' status!!

This order was supposed to help my wait on a Dollshe order I made at the same time. But this experience has been frustrating if not awful- As if I had been in contact Dollshe himself!

They're really letting this lobster boil... I have sent them a status request.

Please let me know if you ordered around the same time but got an actual doll OR are experiencing the same thing with this company!

 

@quinnien thank you! I asked for any photo updates since the doll was not shipped in June, and they did provide one. It was like a grey doll so I understood that they were still in the process, and I would not be getting the doll that month.

I do have good news to share though! I received a shipment notice 09/18 and received the body on 09/24. I still have mixed feelings that the body is different from the original. But I'm happy there is something to show for this long wait. Happy that this is over now.
