selurnis asked me to translate it so here i go ^^;; (please note that I don't check korean forums so my korean vocabulary for specific dollfie language is gonna be rusty~ since it would not be in the dictionaries lol ) Translations ================ Dear club members I am the Dollshe Craft's creator Ki-Yong. This is DSAM Orijean. In the picture, you can see Origin's Tanned Skin and Ivory Skin. We will soon reveal to the club the detailed pictures of the body of DSAM and the head of Orijean. We apologize for all those who've been waiting for the Dollshe Craft homepage to open as we are continuously delayed. With the time available to us, we will work hard to open the webpage as soon as possible. We will open the English page first and the Korean page will be slightly delayed. Please have a blissful New Year. And to those who come time to time to encourage us, thank you very much. From Dollshe Craft's Creator, Dollshe Ki-Yong.
They were never inexpensive. But on some the secondary market prices have risen a bit - however, it shouldn't be difficult to find a nice Hound for under one thousand usd!
Tentative bump..not sure if this is the right place but I'd like to see owner pics of all of the new Dollshe boys coming in. Particularly posing ability with clothing, do the joints eat the fabric? Also I'd like to see posing of the 32 and 35 body, can the posing from the photos above be achieved at home? Thanks
There is no trickery in Dollshe's photos - the bodies do everything he shows here at home, too! I, personally, don't have any extreme pose photos but the three bodies I have here have certainly been in those poses and held them. For me, this is the perfect articulated body and I won't be going back. I've sold all my original Dollshe/Bermann bodies and am overjoyed to be working with these new boys! The DSAMs are gorgeous feats of incredible resin engineering!
The posing does look wonderful. Are they easy to stand, pose and keep in place, and handle without anything kicking or popping?
Standing right now isn't really working anymore since I got him. I've been posing him alot and I think he's loosened up, so I plan to go in and tighten the elastic. The knees keep buckling. I'm actually going to do the 'works' on this body like I do with my other dolls (some wiring & sueding with the hot glue gun). But I don't want to hinder the locking mechanisms so that might be a challenge, I'll probably leave the pieces in his torso alone so there are no gaps and they still fit together snugly. My main concern are the legs right now. Plus his right arm is strung looser than his left (they're strung independently) and his right arm won't stay up like the left. Really what you have to be conscious of more than anything when posing, is getting each piece to lock in it's subsequent groove that holds the piece in position. Mainly on the back/torso pieces. You get used to it pretty quickly and you learn how to hold the body in certain ways to snap things together or not. He's really kind of funny to pick up, he's like a little person with all those moving parts, lol! I have him in clothes and so far no big issue with the clothing sticking to the point of annoyance...no more than any other doll. The clothes are easy enough to pull out again. I've only really had a problem with the bottom of his shirt, but it did no damage at all to the clothing.
This might be a personal question, but does the body seem so much better in person than it does look in pictures? Also, what eye and wig size does the new dollshe dolls take now?
Hello! I am really wanting to see a side by side comparison of the earlier Dollshe bodies (Versions 1 and 2) and the newer DSAM35 and DSAM32 bodies. I have owned both Version 1 and 2, but I would love to see how the new bodies compare to them. I searched the discussion threads and galleries, but I still can not seem to find what I am looking for. Please post pictures here or redirect me to them. Thank you!
The older heads do fit on the new bodies - the new neck mechanism appears complex, but it's exactly the same as the old. However, the smaller Saint/Bernard heads are still too small on the newer body, as they are on the older, just more so. And conversely, the new heads fit on the older bodies. Bermann on the DSAM32s -
I'm just wanting to see how much of a height difference there is between the new dollshe DSAM 32's and 35's when compared to the older Dollshe versions like the original hound and the others.
Well, it's not a comparison shot itself, but anyway... SA Saint on DSAM 32s body belongs to jabberwocky, old DS Bernard belongs to me. Hope this helps^^
Anyone have any boys who wanna pose for me? I want to add a teen boy doll to my family, he'll be my first large doll if I get one, but I don't want any anorexic looking boys, so. I really like how the Dollshe Saint and Hound faces look, want to see if the rest of the figure looks good too, so if anyone has any not too shy boys, I'd love to see them.
You didn't say if you wanted the newer ones or older, but here's one of my old-style Saint shirtless. They are pretty skinny guys though, even the new ones.
Either. I like the faces but I do think he might be a bit on the skinny side. I didn't know that there was a newer or older one. Are there any other nice sculpts for older boys like that that are a little less bony? He's a lot better than some I've seen though.
Hi all, Just wanting get a bit of perspective on the new Dollshe rainbow, as it seems owner pics vary from the company photos, and the skintones shown in the company photos even seem to vary between Orijean and Saint. So if you could please post your new Dollshe boys' (heads, bodies, etc) and label their skintones it would be very much appreciated If people would especially post their Orientalskin boys that would be awesome! Thank ya kindly!
Eol, Oriental skin. Natural light, but the weather was really cloudy so he looks rather pale. Not a photo of the full dollbut a comparaison with my volks YoSD hinata and my Saint oriental skin
Hello~ I have a DSAM 32 body and while I love it so far, I am having a horrible time getting him to sit in positions that aren't completely awkward. I would love to see pictures of how you get your DSAM 32 or 35 (I am not sure if the extra joint changes the ability to sit or not) boy to sit in natural looking ways and even just simply sitting on the floor or on a chair. Any advice, especially regarding the joints where the thigh meets the torso, is also greatly appreciated Thank you!!
Are you pulling the buttock piece out? That's the way I've found to get best results on stability and natural looking seated poses, however, when those pieces are pulled out an angle, the doll cannot wear tight pants. On a review at http://community.livejournal.com/bjd_kritik/ several owners said they have had no problems getting their boys to sit - I would love to see pictures, too! This is the DSAM32s and the lower abdomen piece....does make the doll very vertical in a sitting position. The DSAM35s has two extra pieces there and sits differently - I will try to get some shots of that body seated!
I know there's a few Dollshe DSAM threads around, but the ones I found either contained official photos of the (naked) dolls when they were first released, or the owner photos are mostly of naked dolls. I'll admit, I'm one of the people who thought the DSAM body looked like some alien-bug thing when I first saw it, and I still kind of do, but I'm also attracted to the prospect of greater poseability that both the 35 and 32 body offers. So~ I would like to request photos of the DSAM bodies (35 or 32) in different poses, but with clothes on (because - if I do eventually get one of the Dollshe boys - I doubt I would ever have him naked). I wish to see how 'natural' they look when posing with clothes on and whether their joints stick out a lot when put in different poses. Thanks in advance to anyone who can post photos up for me
T.T anyone knows how to stand this boy or post it better??? i've got a DSAM35 saint and his giving me lots of trouble posing him.... if i really cant pose him properly soon i'll have to give up that beautiful body for a dz body pls help thxs
I have had no troubles at all posing my six DSAM bodies. Where are you encountering issues? I did have a defective 35s here for a while and it would hold no pose at all - perhaps you've got a problem joint or piece?
hmm... my biggest problems are its jelly like legs that when ever i try to stand him his knees gave way and also his lower hip joint it keeps popping out when ever i tried to sit or stand it.... those are the main problems i have with him others not so much hands doesnt seem to have a problem just its lower body(it feels like his paralyzed from waist down...)
The 35s body is the body that will give you trouble. Have you tried tightening his strings? He's bucking at his knees or at the buttocks?
knees! i havent tried tightening him but without his head/back of head and faceplate he can do simple standing without support i should have gotten a DSAM32 instead just tought more joints = more flexi but didnt concider if i could handle 1 with so many joints
One problem I encountered.... Zagzagael, this might be your photo, can't remember where I got it, but I was having this same issue: It's the one on the left, where there is the gap at the hip on either side. The piece is 'high-centered' and doesn't sit in the hip piece like the one on the right. Here was my solution...it took a bit of sanding though. Once sanded, the piece settled down better into the hip piece as well as 'locked' so it wouldn't 'flip out' anymore. It's worked out pretty good. One thing I have noticed between my DSAM35 and 32. I had the 35 sanded but chose not to have sanding on the 32. I think too much sanding may have been done on my 35 and so the pieces didn't fit. I know they said in the notice on Dollstown that they would be supervised with the sanding process, but I think at spending that much money...it's just not worth taking the chance. I've found out now that I would prefer sanding it myself.
Yes, that was the doll I had here that could not hold a pose. Now, bear in mind, all seven of the DSAM bodies I have or have owned have had the sanding service and all but the above one poses like a dream and can hold and hold and hold the pose. So, although I do think the theory is sound that the above doll and your doll, Christy, were oversanded or sanded wet, it doesn't necessarily follow that all dolls receiving Dollshe esthete service are faulty or damaged.
Welp, blows that theory, lol!! Guess it's just one of those things you never know what you're gonna get....(where have I heard that before...."Forest"?? )
YAY! I FINALLY GOT HIM TO STAND! well only without shoes and pants.... BUT HIS STANDING! i tired standing him with pants and shoes again and it didnt work again i found out that its the feet(always pointing upwards) thats giving me problems and sometimes its knees(went jelly as usual) pics pics pics! WAIT PARDON THE BG >.< its really messy
Just wondering if anyone has ordered the DS18M (Rhythmos) body yet..I am debating whether I want that bod or the DSAM32 bod fro my saint when I order him.. I'd love to see pics of this body.
I feel very deep interest on Dollshe doll for long time and now i decide to have one of them in the future... I would like to see all dollshe dolls but prefer "new dollshe" (such as Rosen, new Saint, new Bernard, and also Orijean) which any body type would be fine for me (and I'm interest to see DSAM32 and new Rhythm body too) Thank you so much!! HOJO
My OTD - the SA Saint on the DSAM35s, face-upped by kittytoes - Kittytoes work on both my SA and OE Saints - The DSAM35s and 32s bodies - The gorgeous paletan OE Saint, face-upped by thelyn -
Does anyone know if glamor model doll shirts fit the new Dollshe bods? I know the pants do..but what about the shirts?> o-o
Anyone tried posing the neck? My one quirk with the DSAM32 bod is the neck joint as I prefer aesthetics over posability. It'd be great if I can convince myself of its usefulness to dish out some realistic looking poses. I've only seen Christy's DS neck posings in the first page but that's about it.
The neck joint is my favorite I use it for the realistic relaxed poses. Like this: I don't think that the neck with this joint looks unaesthetic. It's just very in-dollshe-style
The neck joint does make posing look more natural with clothes on. I didn't really like it at first either. Here are some pics of my DSAM32 Saint. Only problem I have with the bod is his butt-cheek joints..they pop out weird. -_-
Male Doll Nudity! Here's my paleskin DS18M Rosen with my DOI. I can take better pics tomorrow (as my camera isn't the greatest and lighting sucks and I had to use flash), but maybe these will help. I couldn't get good pics of the hands and feet with the lighting but I can tomorrow. DOI on right DS18M left Here he is sitting next to my DOI, He looks pissed to be naked and bald. The way his neck and body is sculpted lets him sit really naturally compared to the DOI straight as a board stance. Leaning over: And the back arse piece when he sits... You can kind of see his toes there, his feet are amazing. If you want something specific just let me know, I'll try.
I haven't seen anyone post this yet .... The DS18M's also come with an extra set of hands. Well .. they're not really hands, but they are well ... knubs. I think the idea here, is that you put these hands on when you want to put on clothing so the fingers of his hands don't catch or if you have a narrow sleeve. It's very easy to change out the hands. Similar to a CP, Volks or Unoa. The DS18M is a very skinny boy with massive feet! So far I found 2 pairs of Volks SD17 shoes that fit. I don't have anything from Dollmore but I imagine the Model Doll men shoes would fit. And for pants, he drowns in normal sized Dollshe pants. I have 1 pair of Elfdoll pants (came with my LE Elfdoll Mir) that fits him decently in the waist. The length might be a touch short. Dollshe sized, long sleeve collar shirts are a bit short in the arms and a bit big in the body. He's definitely going to be a bit of challenge to find clothing, depending on individual style of course.
I dont know if the DS18M feet are any bigger then the DSAM32s..but my DSAM32 Saint has the BIGGEST feet. He does fit my model doll boots tho. O_O I cant get over how lanky the DS18M is..its VERY thin.
I think this could help you - both bodies belong to my friend jabberwocky, I'm only a photographer. http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?364755-Dollshe-DS18-Line-Tells-Its-Line The feet of the DS18M isn't bigger than the DSAM32s, I think they are even smaller a bit.
hey I'd like to see both these bodies(comparison if possible) as well as each in poses. I've searched this forum, but I haven't seen many photos of either body
I forgot to take a good pic of the elbows, but he can touch his face without the joint coming out of socket, i just need to wire him. Wrists: They dont have 360 rotation but move up and down very well. Last pic is trying to show where it doesn't move side to side. I really like the wrist design, the elastic hooks onto a hook in the hand and is covered by this little peice. Ankles/Feet: Moves up and down, but doesn't move side to side (to his left or right). So when standing he's either gonna faceplant or land on back of his head. But his feet are beautifully detailed. Dollmore Model Doll male shoes fit him perfectly. Neck: Awsome, he has the best ability to move his head out of all of my dolls. And I just took a shot of him standing next to my AR Diana, who stands at 58cm. And yes this boy is skinny! She can wear pants I've made for him, if they weren't too long. Dollmore Model Doll male shoes fit him perfectly.
The D18 body is tall and lanky I like how the tush looks more realistic now but I feel the body is just a tad to thin and seems posing may be limited? Does anyone have photos of more dynamic poses?
I was playing around tonight and got some pictures of some other things... He can sit cross-legged and there is a notch at his chest joint in back which allows him to do the second pic. His thinness comes from the lack of hip (see above) and his long limbs. But personally I really like this body and I don't think he looks sick.
I looked for comparison pics but couldn't find any so here's some quick (and a bit crappy) photos of my original Saint, Max with the new Pure Body, which will be his upgrade ^_^ Old on the left and new on the right Old is wearing 14mm Dollmore acrylic eyes and new has 14mm Soom eyes. I think 12/13mm eyes would work if the eyeball was big enough. Old Max is stained and yellowed a bit. I'm such a bad dolly mummy >.> More muscles and no lower torso joint on new More muscle definiton on new legs Original Hound hands on new, YAY! The feet look like the original ones with more detail to me Bigger clicky bits on joints which hold poses better Better looking bum XD The blue jeans in the 1st pic are Dollmore and fit fine but the stud does pop open when he sits, but they would stretch over time. They're a tiny bit tighter to get on over the hip/bum but not a struggle. I've tried a couple of Max's boots on him and they fit fine too. Original Saint head on new Pure Body. Fits fine. Just left the domed steel cover bit off that goes over the locking bit in the head. The new body stood straight out of the box. I've always had trouble with Max, though some of that may be down to his stringing. Not had much chance to really play with the new guy yet but his arms and legs hold poses better due to the bigger clicky bits on the peanut joints. The face plates do fall off sometimes so I was thinking off adding a bit of double sided tape to the inside of the head/neck part. All in all I'm very happy (and so is Ash, my Hound XD) I've always wanted Max to be a bit more muscular. The original Saint body is going to my Lawrence Owen head which fits quite well on it.
I just went to check and I found something! :O He has locking dents! Leans forward and stays there but he won't arch back at all like the old Dollshe body would. Holds his arm bent up. Two holes inside instead of one big one. I thought he felt a bit heavier when I had him in one hand and Ash in the other, but I put it down to the boots. Bigger nipples too XD
I didn't see anyone post this, but I've heard from various owners that they notice differences in the Old body and Re-released Old body from the Dollshe DSAM18 Pure release event. My new boys arrived just yesterday, and I was able to give it a good comparison. The re-releases are significantly shorter than the old bodies. The hands are slightly smaller on the re-release. So are the feet: The re-release is almost a cm shorter than the original: You can see that it's not just that the head is smaller, the entire body is slightly smaller: Just so you can see that my Hound is not wearing any shoes:
