* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes! Though the shipping costs always bother me a bit. @__@

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
I already knew what the NS Bory would be like, but I was curious to see how close the Brown skin was compared to the photo they had for Bory. Their photo for him is just about EXACTLY true to the skin tone! I'm VERY pleased about that!

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Extremely. My only concern is that the event head's eye wells seem to be thin near the temples of the head. If it's ever going to crack, it'll be there.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
I use to have a Bory from 2008, his resin was slick and shiny almost.
These two have a delightfully matte feel to them, almost as if they're sealed with something.
They don't appear to be though. I LOVE it!
The event head is SOOO much cuter in person! It would make a great boy too!

* Would you buy more from this company?
100%


Loooove them! (Rethinking their style now though. xD)

Custom face up was very close to the reference picture I drew for them. Nothing to complain for the other items as well.

Yes. As she was my first doll, I was thrilled.

Worth every penny, this was my second time ordering from Luts and I have to say before I thought the quality was great and this time was even better

The wigs looked just like the sales photo, the eyes were a little paler, her faceup was much more orange but I thought it honestly looked better in person then the sales photos

More then satisfied!

I love how on KDW-57 the rosy curls are clips so you can attache them, I love the mobility in their KDF body, their faceup was more then beautiful. Only downside is the eyes were a lot lighter then the photo. I was hoping for a deeper purple and instead they look just like another pair I own.
* Would you buy more from this company?
Oh yes! This is my second time/ the third time in the house hold. I plan hopefully in the next year or two to order my first SD from them.

* When did you order? I ordered her during the same day delivery event, so it was on April 4th, 2013


* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely. I love the feel of the kid delf bodies and her face is just wonderfully sculpted. I was looking for an "anime" doll for quite a while, but I just don't really like vinyl. Then Luts came out with Coco and it was love at first sight. I would have gladly paid more for her, she's very special to me.


* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes! Very good quality control at Luts, she looks exactly how she shows in the company pictures


* Were you satisfied with the product? Oh yes. She is absolutely perfect! Her faceup is really great, too. She has cute little blush on her cheeks, and on her chin, and her mouth is wonderfully sculpted and painted.


* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional): She stands very well for me, and I love the romantic body. Her head is perfectly sized for her body, with the cutest anime look. Her wig and clothes fit her perfectly and she's a real joy!


* Would you buy more from this company? Of course! I've got another order with them already, and I will absolutely get more dolls from Luts

Yes, although she's even cuter in person (her mouth is not painted as dark as the promo pictures, but to be that's a positive!)

She's very cute and so adorable; but I sometimes have problems with her upper-thigh joints getting 'stuck' when I move her legs from sitting to standing. It's not really a flaw, and I suspect it's just because she's all squeaky-new that her joints are a little stiff The shoes I bought with her seem to be really well made, and I have no worries about the straps deteriorating after a few uses (as has happened with other shoes I've bought in the past...)

I plan to eventually!

Positives:
Great quality, either exactly like or very close to the pictures, fast shipping, and great customer service when I've had questions.
Negatives:
Shipping from Korea can be pretty expensive from overseas, especially if you only want one wig or something. Also, many items are already be sold out and take some time to restock.

The items did, but the doll didn't. I ordered the default face-up for my event head, and it didn't match the company photo. However, I didn't mind it; it's looks better and it makes him unique!

Yes. It was my first time purchasing an asian ball-jointed doll, and I was a little nervous about purchasing something so expensive; however, the quality of the product was worth it! I love him!

Positive - Not too long of a wait, great communication, good packaging, and great quality!
Negative - If you're looking to have the default face-up in the company photo, make a note to LUTS that you specifically want what's in the photo.

* Were you satisfied with the product? For my first BJD, I feel very happy with her.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional) Phenomenal outfit. Fit my older KDF well. Bow does not hide clasp like in company photos. One of the roses came loose as well, but is not in danger of falling off. Overall a great outfit for the price. The boots are pretty and work well with the outfit.

Yes. The brown skin alone is worth it. The gorgeous face-ups and sculpts are also a plus.

Yep. He came with green eyes instead of brown but otherwise he looks very much like the sales pictures.

Absolutely.

I think he looks more immature than the company photos let on but it's not a bad thing. I think the sculpt works a lot better with the Delf body than the SDF body.
* Would you buy more from this company?
Yes, without a doubt. I cannot recommend them enough. Their dolls are just beautiful all around. They post wonderfully, look gorgeous and the resin quality is very good. The only negative I can think of is that I can't afford to own one of each. ;P Their customer service is top-notch, too.

 

* What did you order? Delf Claus with event faceup and Delf Aragorn w/o faceup during Summer 2013 event. Mine was actually the discount event but instead of double Claus/Aragorn I asked for one Claus and one Aragorn.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very much so. Not only did they send what I ordered, they included extras like glass eyes for both dolls and the kid delf head (even though I only qualified for the senior event head).

The items look exactly as they did in the pictures on the website. Everything was very neatly packaged, and things arrived undamaged. The only negative things I can think about are that the shoes kind of had a weird smell...strange I know, and the wig gets frizzy pretty easily so I'll have to take care of it.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes. The resin is thick with no discolouration, and although the outfit was rather expensive, it contained lots of different parts and accessories.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes, overall. The horns are very heavy for their size and tend to tip downwards on the head, especially when worn with a fibre wig, but there are no other issues. Everything appears high quality, and the doll poses nicely.

Yes. The doll and the outfits are great quality! Outfits were quite pricey, but once they arrived I understood why. They are great quality and very detailed, I was very impressed! The wigs' quality feels a little less impressive, but then again, they were rather affordable.

Yes! I was surprised how everything bout my doll, her face-up and fullset outfit was just like the pictures! All colors and styles of all the outfits and wigs were exactly as advertised.

Only downsides I can think of is that my doll was strung very tight by Luts, but I should be able to fix that, and the waiting time (it took a lot longer than was estimated). Other than that everything was very good^^

Yes, since the wigs were on special and I wasn't required to pay for shipping except from the GO leader to me. The shoes and wigs I'm especially pleased with. I'm not that impressed with the eyes, though.

Yes, relatively. All the wigs were a shade darker than the pictures. But it turned out all right.

*The barstool was too high. Since they had the SSDFs modelling (who were 70.5cm and my boys were 72cm) I presumed they would fit my boys but I didn't factor in that the SSDFs have abnormally long legs. I'll have to saw off a cm or two before my boys can use them.
*The shoes fit my EID really well and I'm surprised since EID guys have the biggest feet in BJD kingdom. The other pair were for my YOSD they fit really well too.
*The wigs were really good quality, nice and thick. I just can't stop stroking it.
Would you buy more from this company?
Yep. Next time I'll try to get one of the wigs in different colors.

If we avoid all my problems, it is indeed a centaur.

NO!

The only positive thing is that my human Bory is very steady and easy to pose. I cannot talk about the centaur as I didn’t assemble him yet.
All my centaur and human parts have manufacturing defects. I have big sanding scratches which made the tan resin WHITE. There is a blatant skin color difference, which you can see with the naked eye. I also have a hole on the centaur chest part’s seem line. The bottom of the human body’s tan is not them same as the upper part of the body. Only negative thing which make the doll unsuitable for use.

* Would you buy more from this company?
Only second hand products. It sis not acceptable to have so many defects on a professional company doll, especially when it takes such a long time to arrive, and it is still not solved.

Yes, though I didn't realize until after the fact that I probably didn't have to pay the extra $30 for the custom face up option just to have his lip colour altered slightly. But oh well!

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes!

Very much so!

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
The only fault, and it's not one really, is that his lips are still a bit dark in my opinion. But I know that Luts is a bit prone to doing darker lips anyway, and they did follow my instructions for what I wanted as a lip colour, so I'm not unsatisfied. Either way, I still like the lips that they did a lot more than the ones in the sales pictures and they look closer to what I envisioned when they're put directly in natural daylight (see picture below, I was hoping for more of a soft pink than a rosy/red pink, but I'll take what I can get!).
Either than that, his face up is gorgeous and he poses wonderfully and I love him very, very much.

I found the doll surpassing my expectations. He poses elegantly and I find him more charming that the stock photos listed on the website. I also loved the wigs! They fit his head perfectly and are top quality. The eyes were to my liking as well. Overall I didn’t regret anything about my order. The items were crafted well!

Yes! There were plenty of reference pictures to go by.

The only negative I have… is that I wish the magnet for his tail was already attached within his body. The company wants me to glue it in myself but I find it worrisome because I don’t have much experience in that area so I’m worried I’ll mess up.

Negative: So here is my Luts story. They contacted me on December 30 saying they would ship in 2-3 weeks, and so I waited. At the beginning of February I posted a question asking if he was shipped, or when I could expect him, and February 5th they reply "Sorry for delay, he will be shipped in 1-2 weeks." I say alright, and sit down to wait again. I posted once again a question on February 24th when they would ship, and they replied the day after, saying they would ship next week. They did ship March 5th, and I got him on March 10, 2014. Very pleased with the fast shipping once they SHIPPED him. I was not pleased that it took them 3 months to ship, and that they kept saying "next week, next week" but nothing happened. I saw many people here receiving their Yuls as well, way earlier, even in January. Also, they sent me the wrong wig. I ordered a black one with hint of blue, but it is actually green, VERY green even. I did not have the energy to even bring it up to Luts, however, so I'll just sell it or something >,<

I love their bodies and possibility. I think what I love the most about luts is their consistency and I hope their quality never drops like it happens with some BJD companies.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes and no, the bodies look exactly the same as the sales pictures but their heads tend to have a lot of lighting manipulating. My Aragorn actually has marks around his eyes that I love and are precious as it makes him look like he could have dark circles with the right make up, but in the pictures they don't show at all. My Abadon has very asymmetrical eye sockets, you can EASILY notice that one eye is bigger than the other by quite a bit but you don't see it in the pictures.

The differences were not deal breakers at all, but you can tell they didn't want to show it.

Everything was as pictured on the website and in good shape. The single thing that was most problematic for me was the size of the wappen set pieces. My doll is MSD-sized, but the badges look like they're meant for an SD-sized doll. That might look a little silly on Johnny, but I can let it ride. The Bible has real little pages inside, and the pages are all printed front and back, but I can't read it because it's in Korean! LOL, I know that it was single-minded of me to think it would be English, but it was still a surprise to open up that Bible and see Korean writing. Also the little Bible may be a bit large for Johnny, but Bibles run in all sizes so that's not a big deal.

Pros:
I am very pleased with Luts resin. It looks great, and is very solid, especially considering some of the very, very small parts. I'm not worried I might break something.
Construction is very, very good. I have Soom centaurs, and I love them, but the TDF centaur can hold a pose much better than the Sooms. It also has better locking mechanisms in the leg joints and torso parts - Soom does have them as well, but the notches seem to be deeper, and therefore more stable on the TDF.
All in all, very, very stable construction.

Cons:
The arm elastic seems a little small. Or not stretchy enough. Or something. I realize that it needs to be small since the arm parts are so small, but it doesn't have quite as much stretch as I'd like. (easy fix though)
Resin tail seems a little loose. The magnets are strong, but the hole for the tail is just a tad bigger than the tail part itself, so it wiggles around a bit. But again, not a big deal, as again, the magnets are strong.

I feel awful saying this but...not entirely no.

No. The body itself looked like the photos. The trouble with the Karis head (and you can see this by searching the forum for posts about Karis) is he doesn't look the same. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that the sculpt they show in the main photos for Karis is even the same doll. If you search Luts's website for Karis you'll see other face-ups for Karis which are more in tune with what I see in the sculpt and from others who have bought Karis with default faceup, but you don't see these photos on Karis's buy page. That's extremely misleading for a lot of people sinking this much money into a doll. You expect to buy what's on that buy page as the default images of this doll and yet what you get is something entirely different.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
No. On top of the fact Karis's buy page is extremely misleading, the quality isn't what I thought it would be. If I had gotten this doll in the mail first over my Loongsoul doll then I'd probably believe in this one more. But I have something to compare it to that has smooth resin as opposed to Luts's gritty texture, that has undetectable seams as opposed to Luts's obvious seems on a NORMAL SKIN body, that has REAL double jointing that functions as a double joint as opposed to Luts trying to claim this body is double jointed when it has no more functionality than a single jointed doll. I only own two dolls, but I know what is capable thanks to my Loongsoul doll and it's made my Luts doll that much more disappointing. I love my doll because of his character, but I'm legitimately angry at Luts's quality and the lack of justice it does to this character. Not to mention the proportions are bizarre. The 1/3 head size seems to suit their Senior SD and Super Senior better. Putting the standard 1/3 head on an SD just makes him look like a bobble head. Not to mention the default hands are these GIANT, undetailed catchers mits with these fat sausage fingers. They look like they were sculpted out of play dough. I'm just shocked.

This is one of the few companies with a 1/3 size doll that doesn't have rippling muscles. I want a thin, lithe boy and Luts has that. I just wish the doll quality was up to par. The way these dolls are strung too makes it easier to restring or tighten/loosen only the areas that need it. That's a pretty cool function to be honest.

Unlikely. The only thing I feel Luts has going for them is their variety and the quality of their clothes and wigs. Overall the quality of the dolls just isn't up to par with what it should be.

Positives:
The female model delf body poses like a dream! I wasn't sure I would like how the type 2 arms would look, but they're very smooth and hold nearly any pose. Their resin is even and beautiful and everything is sculpted beautifully.

cons: The model delfs heads are a tad small and a little awkward, but not bad. The model delfs also seem to have 'weak ankles' but it's nothing a little sueding won't fix. Tehre's a lot of muscle those legs need to support.
