Character Details: Syrena is twenty-five, the middle sister in the Angelidis family; she has an older brother (Crisanto) and sister (Andromeda) and a younger sister (Kalista) and brother (Jaelen). She is self-reliant, outgoing, and unusually independent, and very different from the rest of her siblings, prefering the excitement of a career that takes her all over the world to anything that would keep her close to home. She has recently experienced a career "interruption" and has come home for a short period of R&R while contemplating what her next adventure will be.

Character Details: Harper is going to be 21 on her next birthday, coming up very soon.
She is a college junior majoring in Physical Education.

Harper commutes to classes and lives at home with her mother and stepfather, seeing no reason to go out on her own until she is "ready." Harper is tall and athletic, unlike both of her parents; she assumes she inherited these traits from her biological father, a well-to-do, many-times-married businessman who, after his divorce from Harper's mother (his second failed marriage), went on to father several more children with wives three through five. Although she has not seen her father since she was a small child, he unfailingly sends her a gift on her birthday each year, and they occasionally exchange emails.

An "only" child in her mother and stepfather's household, irrepressibly sociable and curious Harper harbors a secret aspiration to get to know every one of her half-siblings, and may soon find she has both the opportunity and the means to do so.
