When we plan your layaway, I will schedule all invoices up to a year out in Paypal (and draft anything past a year—paypal only lets you schedule up to 12 months) so that they automatically send on the dates we agree on. These invoices are goods and services. if you will not be able to make a payment, I can work with you by extending the timeline or rescheduling payments, so long as you let me know. I need to know what the plan is, and when you will be paying. The further in advance I know you will not be paying, the easier it is for me to make arrangements. In the event that you miss a payment, I will contact you to make arrangements within a week, and send another follow-up within two weeks. If I don’t hear back from you for 30 days consecutive after a missed payment, I have to consider the layaway abandoned and relist. This is a last resort in case I can’t make contact. I offer layaways of flexible length. Please bear in mind, if your layaway is more than 3 months, all shipping quotes are approximate—I can’t predict the price of gas (ergo the price of shipping) much further out—I will reduce your last payment if shipping costs go down, and increase/add another payment if they’ve gone up. I can re-quote shipping anytime you’d like! If your layaway is more than 5 payments, or your payments are less than $100, I am starting to ask for paypal fees—purely because I lose a lot more money on per-transaction fees when a doll is paid for in 24 increments than 3, for instance. The buyer may request a lower parcel value at their own risk. I will mark this parcel as a gift if asked. Shipping options: If you live in the Calgary area, I will gladly meet you/drop off your doll! I ship via Netparcel (the Print Shipping Label option on PayPal), which allows me to use UPS, DHL, Purolator and FedEx, depending on what is available in the recipient's region. I use UPS by default, as I've had good experiences with them consistently since 2020. The average SD head costs between $25-35 to the US, the average (strung) full doll $45-65, with an arrival time consistently within 6 days (from march 2020-present). Typically Purolator is close in price to UPS, and DHL/FedEX are more. Anything leaving North America typically ships DHL as UPS doesn't always have coverage! I've shipped to Europe (Britain, France, Norway, Germany), Brazil, China, Australia, and more in the last couple years with no hiccups! Depending on how far away you are, DHL is usually 3-6 days. If you would like me to underdeclare, please let me know from the start. Any costs above the declared/insured value of the doll can only be paid F&F. This is the only time I will ask for F&F. I'd prefer to declare accurately, and insure your doll in full, so that you can pay G&S and I can reimburse you in the rare circumstance where there is a shipping issue.
