Personality: Ciaran is a difficult character to pin down because he likes that he's hard to pin down. He is an unconscious, natural charmer, especially to women and is very nice to both women and children because he believes they should be treated that way. He also usually appears confident and sure of himself. If he doesn't like a person, he can rarely be bothered with them and usually ignores them. The first impression people have of him is usually that he is such a gentleman. However, if he grows comfortable in someone's presence, he'll allow his less gentle and charming traits to show (like unleashing the rough side of his tongue on someone). If he is close to someone, he will not be ashamed to admit his own flaws. Ciaran is a little of a manipulator, but very subtly. In the evening, a darker personality takes over in the form of a vampire, and he will often go out and murder in cold blood, though usually it's for some kind of revenge.
When he awakens the next morning, he remembers nothing of this, only to get to work and to find that there has been another string of murders in the night, relating to cases he was working on. The flashbacks torment him, as does the evidence found at the scenes, and he refuses to believe that it was actually him who committed the crimes. This is another reason why he keeps such cases to himself.

Back story: Originally born in Austria, but moved to Germany when he was about 150. He picked up the language and the accent as he liked Germany a lot more than his homeland. In the 1930s and 40s, he got caught up in the Nazi movement and moved up a little through the ranks. He felt at the time that the best way to preserve anonymity was to go with the flow. He was never that interested in the politics at the time and has always viewed humans as being one step below vampires in the food chain. You can be a pet or cattle. At any rate he was involved in a number of grotesque human experiments during his stint in the party. He doesn't talk about them because although he feels no shame or guilt about it he does at least understand that most humans look at the time period as a dark stain on our history. The mournful wind spirit was befriended by Tanamuri Chidori when she came to the ancient shrine as a novice, and he was allowed to follow her as an elemental servant when she returned home to Turtle House.

Ptolemaeus loves Chidori and her family, and he serves them faithfully, but the weight of the mortal world has become more painful and more maddening for the elemental with every passing year. Sooner or later, the stress of being kept captive for so long is going to get the better of him.

History: Fifteen years ago, a steet-walker named Elenor, gave birth to twin boys. Realising she could not afford to keep them, she left them on the doorstep of a Monastery. The twins, who were named Kotarou and Ruka grew up in the Monastery and were placed in it's Christian school. While being repremanded for bullying another student, wings shot out of Kotarou's back. This left the whole Monastery in complete shock, and they sent one of their Priests to search for their mother. He descovered that their father was an angel making them both Nephilim. The Priest then shared the information with the rest of the Order, who sentenced them to be killed. Father Dominic, whom the twins had formed a strong relationship with Volunteered for the task, but set them free instead. Now alone and on the run, Kotarou and Ruka are frequently attacked by angels who concider them an abomination. The boys soon learned how to protect themselves, and they now hunt angels instead of being the hunted.
