Specific Doll 29cm Granado female embody posing

Oct 9, 2021

    1. I recently got a whole crew of Granado 30cm-ish dolls, all different bodies, varying from 29cm to 32cm. The boys got their moment to strut their stuff, now I'm letting Anevai show what she can do. She's the Ninth head on the female Embody 29. Overall, I'm pretty happy with her. She seems pretty stable standing, tho I'm realizing now I didn't try any squatting or kneeling poses. I'll add those in the next couple of days.

It's all very casual. My camera is dying and I don't really have a place to do fancy photography, so it's late afternoon fall light or flash. I took a variety with both and chose the best.

She sits with decent posture, with legs crossing in a variety of ways. She has only one channel for the elastic in the hip part of the peanut which slightly limits options, but that w/b easy to add.

She does the splits nicely and an OK backbend. Her peanut joint makes a big difference for posing. To get better backward stretch, I turned the peanut around so the channel was in the back. The arms are barely stable enough to support the weight, which is a little disappointing, but she's so slender, it wasn't surprising.

Standing is easy if the legs are straight; the leg tends to be a little kicky and collapse when you bend it. I'm still learning the tricks and it seems more stable if you keep the top of the knee locked. I don't know if this is normal for this type of joint, but I'll investigate more when I try some squatting ad kneeling positions. in the image on the right, I wanted a more cocky stance. Rotating that peanut around allowed a bit more forward thrust to the hips. The chest joint gives adequate side to side and forward and back for balancing and at least a bit of attitude. in the left one, I could have gotten a better angle. She's got one foot canted up, which give a nice bit 'tude.

Twisting...well, she can do it. Sort of. It'll work for as much as I'll need it, but as with most of the male bodies, I'd prefer a lower rib cage joint designed to rotate as well as bend, but It can be done. I just would have her hold it for more than a shot or two.

OTOH, she crosses her arms and legs pretty well.
Just a couple more for more variety. I think she's got a lot of potential for drama. Plus she has four more pair of hands that are pretty easy to change out, tho I might give her magnets like my LTFs.

That's it for now! I'll try and get time to do a few squatting and kneeling pix soon.

Bottom line, I would recommend this body with a clear conscience. I think she's going to be a lot of fun.
Thanks for viewing and I hope it helps someone in decision making!

    2. I should add, she's TINY. For size/scale reference, here she is from her box opening with my LTF Wiishu

    3. Hello~ May I know if you know the difference between the female 29Muse and 29Embody body for the Granado doll?
I wanted to order Bayou doll from Granado, but unsure of the body that I should get. So if you have any idea, I'd like to hear your thoughts about it? :kitty1

    4. Hi! Glad I had the notion to come up tonight. If I were getting her now, I'd probably get the muse, tho it would be a hard choice. I think the Embody is a bit more athletic, which I like, but the peanut thigh joint in the Muse looks preferable. It looks like it would adjust easily through the clothing. Posing is always a high priority for me. I can adjust the appearance. I wish all of his bodies came with a three part torso and peanut joint, but they're all pretty nice. Either way, I think you'd enjoy her!
