1) No. You'd need to buy a full doll. There are actually quite a few major (and minor) companies that do this. It's annoying, sure, but I guess it means more 'completely Soom' dolls in the collectors hands.

2)... Not sure actually. Hang on, I'll try and find it (or someone else will beat me to it!) EDIT: there's a Q&A board that does the same thing here. The email address may be the same as the paypal address ([email protected]), but I recommend the Q&A board for quick replies.

 

Not sure about the first part but I have heard some people have bought Dia heads with a male Super Gem body.

Q&A board is definitely where you want to ask.... like I found out you can buy the jointed hand kit by itself, even though there's no listing for that, either. If you haven't already done so, I would register as a member there. It makes using the Q&A board much easier.

 

Yes, use the QnA. Soom doesn't really answer the e-mails you sent them, likely because their addresses are primarily used to receive payment notifications.

And a LOT of companies do not allow customers to buy heads or bodies only. Soom is one of them, and I have never once heard of them selling a separate head. However, if it's an issue of gender, you can buy SG female heads with male bodies - you have to buy $30's worth of certificates and put a note in their QnA, and they'll send you female head with a male body.

ETA: You can try organizing a split, in the split marketplace if you meet the requirements. I'm sure that there's someone out there who'd be interested in a Soom SG boy body for a head of theirs if you offer a reasonable price - there might even be someone asking to split a body off. I know I needed a body for my Chrom head about a year ago, so I ran a split and sent a Dia head to someone else.

 

You might already know this, but I'll mention it just in case - if I recall correctly, the Dia sculpt is actually the same as the Sard sculpt (2009 monthly doll version and special order "Grey Velvet" version). ^^; I realize this might not help that much, since both Sards were limited and are sold out, but it might help widen your search options on the DoA marketplace.

 

No problem! Although I must say, unless you buy a complete doll, finding a Dia head is gonna be pretty hard - there's usually 5+ WTB threads in the marketplace, and the FS heads get sold instantly. Good luck though :3
