Yes, Atsushi's death caused and continues to cause a lot of pain. I no longer cry every day like I did in 2023 but now I'm consumed by apathy that feels like a big black cloud. Yasunari Kawabata said: "You can't constantly think about those who have died. Then you begin to feel like you are dead too." I think he is right. But I can't stop.
