I will try to go to this after hitting volks. Vera was my first doll.

Asking us to write out the story of our dolls to be sent to Rainman is a nice touch.

    23. *whishes she could go* man, why do these things always happen in Cali?!? (yeah i know california's closer to asia, but still. . .)

    24. I had a wonderful time, completely worth the drive up from San Diego.

    25. So what happened at the event? Tell us about the food, the atmosphere - any exclusives or specials for sale? Dolls or clothing? Any Mirs for sale? Alex

    26. Sandwiches and soda-- Mrs. Cholong's husband and his assistant were trying their best to keep up with the demand for soda. :D The atmosphere was great. Mrs. Cholong had a neat outfit on, and the room was far too small for so many people, but it was fiiine. The last Mir was for sale, and someone did purchase it. Alice, the piggie, was up for display too.

    27. Yes... LOL!!... I kept on trying to position myself under an a/c vent for more cool air. It was mostly shoulder to shoulder conversation, shopping, eating, picture taking, etc. I only had my cell phone camera and that pales in comparison to the great pics that many have posted.

    28. I arrived late--after 4pm--and stayed until closing.

The shop is small, but very nice, on the first floor of an office building with large windows facing the street. There are display cases with dolls, shoes, wigs, clothing, etc. along two walls. By the time I arrived there were empty spots where dolls had been sold and some dolls had been stripped of their outfits--poor things! (Although it showed off their body sculpts nicely!)

There were sandwiches and candy and snacks to eat, soda and other drinks, free Elfdoll coffee mugs...

There were tables by the windows for people to put their dolls. And chairs scattered about--but people were standing or sitting on the floor, too, and I bet it was absolutely PACKED during most of the day.

Those working at the shop were absolutely lovely! Full of enthusiasm--loving everyone's different dolls--wanting to answer questions and help people shop. They signed people up for the mailing list for news and specials. They were wonderful! I'd go there to shop any time.

Oh, and they said that more little piggies would be in the US for November--so people should try and reserve some if they wanted one. :)

    29. I loved the party, it was so packed and warm after a while though. I got there around 2 or 3, stayed till 5 :) Got a mug, ooh-ed over shoes and outfits. Watched people buy doll after doll and got hugged by Ms. Cholong a few times, haha! She even remembered I was engaged and hugged my fiance when he came in!

I love this store, I hope they restock frequently and hold more parties! I'll also try to upload my photos soon.

    30. Isn't Ms. Cholong the sweetest....She didn't missing hugging anyone and more then once may I add! Hopefully I'll be there tommorrow, must have me a MIR!...I"m in love, but don't tell my hubby!;)

    31. It sounded lovely! I hope one day they could come to even Chicago <3

    32. This was a wonderful event. The first BJD Gathering, both for me, and my doll. I was a little nervous (which is why my BJD stayed in the car for closed to an hour). Everyone made me feel quite welcome and Natalya was quite well received (despite being clad in only lingerie). :o :sweat ;)

Ms. Cholong and staff were wonderful hosts. I look forward to for the next event they have there. :D

    33. I got there a little late in the day with two friends and the staff was really friendly and helpful :) I'm only sad that I missed a lot of great items because they were sold out of some really nice doll glasses by the time I got there.
