You might also try asking Anu if you can get the Hound clothing set without the doll (she mentioned allowing people to do this if they asked, but said the price would be higher than the $38 she's charging for the clothing with the doll). Thise pants are absolutely to die for. Better act fast, though - she only has enough supplies to make 70 pairs!

Would the Isao pants fit a DollShe boy? Because they're enough to make you go Oooowwwww at the moon. Plus, he's a long-legged SD-13. They show up from time to time on eBay.

Well, I plan on getting a Bermann & a Hound myself...sometime in the near future...so I can try my Isao pants on one of them, if you haven't gotten a definitive answer yet. Isao pants are soooooo very hot. *gropes Isao pants*

Ok, after Inu-sama's problems with Luts, I decided to post this here.

I placed a rather large clothing/goodies order from CheeryDoll about two weeks ago, and got the goods about a week ago. But I was missing a pair of jeans for my Hound (that cost $50!!) and have emailed them twice, and posted on the Q&A board, and no response still. And yes, I check my spam folder every day in my email.

Does anyone have any helpful tips? Is there another email besides the [email protected] that's listed?

My boy isn't home yet, but he's gonna need some jeans when he gets here. Please help me!

Ah ha, no problem! (And I've contacted Karin, and everything has been fixed now! :grin: )

But anyways, I just googled both "chinese character lookup" and "japanese kanji lookup" to find the characters I needed, and copy and pasted them. I keep the boys' names saved in my memories on my LJ so whenever I need them, I can get them easily. Here's a couple sites I've used:

Chinese Character.com
Jeffery's Kanji Lookup --> this site gives gif images, but it's helpful for finding the pinyin of the particular kanji you want, then put it into one of the previous sites for a character you can copy

*le sigh* I don't know when to expect him yet...I ordered him from tensiya, but was not in either of the pre-order groups, and I don't think all of those people have received their dolls yet. Also, I ordered a faceup and full esthetic course, which takes a week extra. I'm really anxious to see Xiyang Jin, but at least Kin (Delf El special) is now on his way to me. :grin: And so are the underwear!

And I have plans on taking lots and lots of pics, don't worry!

 

Just to give you a possible idea of when you might receive your Hound, I am in the second preorder group. I've been told by the Tensiya message board that mine will probably ship this weekend or early next week.

So... maybe yours will be along soon after.

Hound can wear t-shirts made for SD13s that are on the big side - Issac was wandering around in one of Griffyn's t-shirts until his clothes arrived - but he was nekkid from the waist down ^_-

SD13 pants are just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too short. Hound has to have pants made specifically for him *grins* Ditto for long-sleeved shirts, or the sleeves are too short.

I was just hoping that people could post links to websites with clothes for hound sized dolls.

I know Cheerydoll and Dollmore sell some clothes, as well as Tensiya. Are there any other companies?

I'm looking for a jacket for my boy, but I don't particularly care to buy a full clothing set, and I haven't found and jackets that strike my fancy, or don't come in a set.

www.iplehouse.net offers Hound size - no jackets on their own though I don't think.

You can find some fun stuff on evil eBay sometimes... but really if you have something specific in mind ^-^ You might wanna have it comissioned!

I know that Gayle and Cassandrajean here on DoA both take commisions for Hound size..and there are others that I'm sorry I can't remember the names of.

Luts has some Hound sized clothes as well. And you can also try and force some of their DELF clothes to fit, if you don't mind the pants being too short. xD

Also, does anyone know if any SD13 type clothing would fit hound? like a jacket?
I'm worried that sleeves would be too short.

I can make clothing for my dolls, I just don't particularly care making things that small. Oh well.

What kind of a jacket are you looking for? If you are looking for a suit style jacket, I do those, but my commission book is full until February. Batchix also does suit type jackets, but maybe that is not the style of jacket you are looking for?

Edited to add, most all SD13 stuff is too short in the arms and leg length to fit Hound. They will fit his waist, hips and chest just fine but they look awfully small on him.
Hound is probably the longest limbed doll around.

 

I'm not truly sure what I'm looking for at the moment. I just want to see what sorts of things are out there for Hound before I decide. ^^

He wears . . . Hound size, to tell you the truth -- the Dollshe boys are taller and lankier than SD13 boys. They can wear SD/SD13 shoes (just check the measurements, Hound has long/wide feet, but most of the shoes/boots I've put on Marten have fit), and they can wear SD-sized t-shirts or knit shirts, but long-sleeved shirts will be a little short on his arms. SD13 trousers will be too short most of the time, although I have two pairs that just baaaaarely are long enough.

A lot of the clothing designers on this board make Hound-sized clothes, and there's a thread somewhere as to where to buy them . . . uhmm . . . here it is:

Ashbet...you rock. lol I'm totally bookmarking that page...for my inevitable "I don't want to sew anything" fit once my own Hound is ordered and arrives.

 

Ashbet nailed it, he wears Hound sized. LOL

His is longer everywhere, taller and leaner than anyone else. SD t shirts sort of fit him, but they are a little short waisted. And, he can wear SD13 sized shoes. Other than that you are pretty much locked into buying clothes that are specifically made for him.

He's quite easy to sew for however, so if you don't want to buy clothes from the expensive manufacturers, or commission some of us who specialize in sewing for him, you might want to try your hand at making him clothes.

 

Just wondering...Im pretty sure the pants will be too short...but will the pants fit around the waist and hips and will jackets and shirts fit or will the sleeves be too short. THANKS in advance for any help or advice.

. . . although they CAN wear "SD-sized" wigs, both Marten's wigs are normal SD-sized 9-10's, one is from Luts and the other is from Leekeworld. It may depend on the wig style, though.

True enough Ashbet, the 9-10's fit, they just are a bit roomy is all. To me the 8-9's are ideal.

 

Hi Again! Do you guys know where I can find furniture that fits Hound well?

 

Furniture is tough as Hounds legs are longer than anybody elses. I have some pieces sized for regular SD that work adequately however.

Pretty much anything for SD will work, you just have to have his knees sticking up a wee bit.

 

what I know is that they can wear SD sizedwigs, true? but clothes must be special siazed, and shows might be SD too or something else? I'm planing buying one XD

 

For shoes he can only wear SD13 sized ones.

 

I don't usually like to launch a thread with a great big WTF, but I am feeling very Hound-clothing deprived at the moment.

I know about Iplehouse; they're my favorite tailors. I know about Cheerydoll, Dollmore and of course Tensiya. The pieces I see are beautiful.

But is that all there is? The designs available are great, but they make up a pretty small quantity compared to the oceans of sw4g for the SD13 set. Have I missed a maker? Are there seamstresses and, er, um, seamsters out there who are concentrating on Hound?

Martin tells me he's getting a little tired of his chainy pleather pants...

He wants something sort of shabby-elegant, and it's just not out there.

We need sartorial salvation...

Gayle and Batchix both sew for Hounds, I believe. I've been working on stuff for Hound also *pimps self* ^^;

But it is tricky finding stuff for Hound if you are looking for stuff outside of suits or leather pants.

No help here, but I am looking to find more stuff for Hound too. I always find commissions difficult because I'm not sure I know what I want, so I know what you mean. And shabby elegant sounds amazing...
