Personality: He is very gloomy and dark most of the time, but If you happen to catch him in a slightly good mood you’ll find out quickly why his old companions didn’t like him very much. Azazel, meaning “Wall of God”, was a general in the Second Hierarchy of Angels. He was the twin brother of Lucifer, the bearer of light, (Though they are technically the same person. Azazel and Lucifer are the light and dark sides of the same entity) and the reason for Lucifer’s fall. Azazel, though high in rank, was not well liked among the Angelic Council due to his sharp tongue and fiery personality. Such “human-like” traits were looked down on by the Council and most of the Primary Realm’s inhabitants. Azazel quickly fell out of favor, and lost his position on the High Council. He plotted to regain his seat at the council by throwing Lucifer from his own. Lucifer, unlike his brother, was beloved by all and held most of the influence over the council’s decisions, which was the cause of Azazel’s fury. Azazel raised a rebellion of lesser Cherubim against the Angelic Hierarchy and placed Lucifer’s name at the forefront of the rebellion. Lucifer was tried for treason before the High Council and damned to suffer in the Final Realm (Hell) for eternity. After almost three millennia, Lucifer began to regain his power and raised an army of fallen angels and mortals who had repented and taken allegiance with him against Azazel’s forces. The war raged, engulfing the Primary Realm for almost a decade. At last, Lucifer’s legions conquered Azazel and brought forth the truth. Lucifer was pardoned and returned to the Council. Azazel faced the punishment Lucifer had been sentenced with, but Lucifer, filled with pity, decided against it. He sent Azazel, instead, to the Lesser Realm (Earth) were he would live out the rest of his years as a mortal, among the very same treacherous race he had a hand in creating. (The Angel Azazel is credited with giving humans Vanity) Azazel’s wings were torn from his back and he was flung to the surface of Earth were he remains to suffer his punishment.

When he was about ten or eleven years old, Darcy’s parents died and he was sent to live in a foster home. His brother, Hadrian, was sent to live with a different family, separating Darcy from the only family he had left. He only got to visit Hadrian a few times during the decade that they were separated. He had a fairly boring childhood after that, never really bonding with his foster family. As soon as he turned 18, he inherited what his parents had left for him, and left home to buy an apartment on his own.
