~20cm Dolls 12 cm Yamishibai art style doll

Hi everyone..I decided to make a doll for my Bastian (avatar) for Christmas..since he likes strange, unique, and morbid things, I opted to follow the art style if the anime Yamishibai..wide set eyes lack of facial features and so forth..so..she is 5 inches or 12.7 cm..she will be strung and functional.she needs tweaked tomorrow..then I will do her final cast..she will have a a unique dark paint style also.
This is my rough body and head sculpt..done in sculpey

Flash forward the elasic cord was too thick to string her so I made her torso two piece and this is where she is as of the photo (minus any work I get done tonight)

So she's coming along

Ok I recast some of her parts after working on them..she still has sculpey joints..I made her a wig..and a little nighty..and took a picture with a quarter to show her size..all I have time left to do is paint her..yay

Awww..thanks...I made her to look kind of spooky..but no matter what I do (repainted 3 times) she just looks really sad or overly shy..I will try to get some pics later tonight

Ok foget for a second that I paint like a two year old..a talent that far escapes me and here is Bastians Christmas doll..I completely missed her bottom lip..and she's not spooky at all..but my daughter will be here later and said she would repaint her..but for now Bastian will have to live with her as is lol

 

LOL..she is getting a once over by my daughter..since I paint like a rock swims..hehehe..she's gonna turn my Bastian and this little one into demons..woohoo..I can't wait )
